I was looking for an All-mountain board that would better suit my riding style for the upcoming season and I always enjoy going to Easy Rider. The staff here are always friendly and were very helpful in helping me select a board that fit my needs. You can tell these guys ride and really know their stuff!! They had an impressive selection of gear for the upcoming season but also a good carryover from last season on sale for 40% off. I wound up going with a Burton Deep Thinker from last season, and at 40% off, I was thrilled. Easy Rider has a huge selection of snowboards, boots and bindings as well as a good selection of outer wear. They also carry some pretty specific boards for carving and backcountry that you don't see in your average shop. They also have skateboards, longboards and stand up paddle boards to cover your summer sports. This is my go-to local shop for anything skate or snowboard related!

I was on the phone most of the time trying to communicate between my boyfriend who was in Calgary and myself while I was discussing the difference between the Union Atlas and Burton Genesis he helped us select the one that would work best for the type of ridin we'd be doing. Honestly he wasn't pushy and you didn't feel pressured this is exactly the type of service you want!!! If I have anymore boarding needs I'll definitely be coming here !!! Thanks David.

I don't really know what to make of this place…read more I went in here and I really wanted to buy some new powder skis but I was completely ignored. It's not like I was I browsing, doing my own thing. I was at these skis, trying to get someone's attention so that I could buy them. That's usually what stores want, isn't it? When I FINALLY got someone to help me, they made it clear that they weren't happy about it. In fact, they were so blatantly annoyed that they had to help me that I didn't even end up buying the skis. And I really wanted them! The only reason I'm not giving this place the lowest rating possible is because they do have great stock. They have a great selection. Unfortunately, their customer service is too bad for me to ever consider going back.

I purchased my son's first snowboard from this store and thought they were terrific. The gentleman…read morewho helped me was very friendly and took time to help me make an informed decision on what to purchase for my son. Naturally, I went to this same store two years later when my son wanted a new set up for his birthday present. The service was great (the associate indicated he actually owned the bike store upstairs) - again, he was friendly and was very patient with a mother who has no idea what she was buying. He helped me pick out new boots, bindings and board. So, why the poor review? Because less than a month later, my son's left boot was falling apart. He had used them 3 times (for about 2-3 hours each time) and he weighs a total of 60 pounds. The first associate told me that he didn't think the warranty would cover that because it was normal wear and tear. I asked to speak to the manager and it was the owner who came to talk to me. He insisted that it was deliberate damage and that they would not cover it. I showed him the receipt as I couldn't believe that their equipment wasn't even covered for 30 days. The owner was so rude about the whole thing and told my 10 year old son it was his fault the boots were falling apart (my son was devastated to be treated like he was some reckless & negligent hooligan). Even other people in the store couldn't believe that he was being so rude about it and agreed that it should at least last 30 days. And so, I will never return to this store again because they don't reasonably stand behind their equipment. I understand that you have to draw the line somewhere, but less than 30 days?? I have never been subjected to such rudeness at a store before and I will not support a store who is owned by someone who's attitude seems to be that they are doing ME a favour by owning a store. It's too bad really - the staff were all very nice and helpful and maybe the owner should take some lessons.

There was a disagreement between myself and my son regarding which board I was willing to put money out for, and the salesperson was obviously uncomfortable but politely indicated that he would be in another area while we fought it out. Once we moved onto the helmet section, he popped back over to see if we needed any help. I felt the service was pretty good, definitely friendly and the prices were slightly below the other over priced snowboard shops in town. I appreciated that it was brightly lit and a lot of space (I hate dark cramped stores!) I will definitely be checking them out next time we need to purchase more snowboarding equipment as they have it all. I was quickly looking at their jackets (I'm a mom who doesn't snowboard, so if they have a different name, you know what I mean) and they seemed reasonably priced compared to other snowboard companies.

I'm not a hockey fan at all, so I had never been in this store before. A friendly worker (maybe owner) greeted me, when I walked in. This place was full of sports merchandise--mostly hockey, but there was some football and a bit of soccer stuff too. I really like the t-shirts of old school football teams. They were made so they looked "vintage." Lots of jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts, and a whole lot of caps lined the walls. There were a few large displays of Oilers merchandise, like yo-yos, keychains, mugs, pucks, clocks, toy cars--pretty much anything you can think of. Unfortunately they didn't have the Oiler's hat that I wanted and she recommended another place. She was helping another person before me and listening to her you can tell she is passionate and knows her stuff. Only issue, the company cuts costs and doesn't give business cards at this store. Cheap, and not a real cost cutter, and the signed Oiler's gear got sent to the Oiler's store in Kingsway. Which is a joke and we won't go back due to the horrible lack of service, or even acknowledgement that there are actual shopping customers in that store (4 of us). This place, though, was great! Friendly and superior service. Someone get this lady, Faith, to train other staff at other stores. OR fire those ASSHATS at the Oiler's store in Kingsway and get her in there.
