I recently purchased a new snowboard from the guys at Easy Rider as I have been riding my old Burton that has seen better days. I was looking for an All-mountain board that would better suit my riding style for the upcoming season and I always enjoy going to Easy Rider. The staff here are always friendly and were very helpful in helping me select a board that fit my needs. You can tell these guys ride and really know their stuff!! They had an impressive selection of gear for the upcoming season but also a good carryover from last season on sale for 40% off. I wound up going with a Burton Deep Thinker from last season, and at 40% off, I was thrilled. Easy Rider has a huge selection of snowboards, boots and bindings as well as a good selection of outer wear. They also carry some pretty specific boards for carving and backcountry that you don't see in your average shop. Just purchased binding from here today ! You will not get better service any where else. David was extremely knowledgable and friendly! I was on the phone most of the time trying to communicate between my boyfriend who was in Calgary and myself while I was discussing the difference between the Union Atlas and Burton Genesis he helped us select the one that would work best for the type of ridin we'd be doing. I can't say enough good things about this store. I'm not a big "shopper"... but the friendliness, expertise, and personal attention received on Monday morning made me actually enjoy myself for two hours while trying various fits on boots, styles of bindings, and snag a couple deals on clothing while i was originally there for a great deal on a fantastic new board. They really know their stuff and will have my business time and again. Really enjoyed opening day at Sunshine Village on Wednesday and the gear all lived up to the high expectations that were set. For a longboarder, these guys have the best selection I've found in the city, at least on the south side. The staff is helpful and enthusiastic about the sport, and they tend to have 'the next big thing' in stock (like Stand up Paddling stuff, or slacklines etc.) I love coming here, and probably spend more money than I should... If you're looking for new equipment on the south side, this is THE place to go. read more

I am going to write a yelp and google review!! I moved to Alberta 12 years ago and came across Warren's shop; Easy rider. I would have to say the customer service and knowledge of him and the staff is outstanding. The also have a wonderful selection, plus it's local! Who doesn't love supporting local?!?! So here it goes. I purchased thirtytwo boots a few years ago.They have the BOA system... this was not that popular a few years back... now it is. The entire mechanism (BOA system) failed me and was no longer working. I sent a fb message to easy rider asking them if they could help me. They replied within minutes and told me to bring the boots in and they would figure something out for me. Well... I took my boots and and within a day they fixed them for me. Payment... a high five. I highly suggest easy rider for all you snowboarders,stand up boards and all the other skate necessities!! :) read more

I went in to get a new pair of snowboard boots and was helped immediately. He brought me a few pairs to try based on what I had said I was looking for. When I finally chose my pair, I paid for them and left. Soon after, I discovered one of the boot's stitching was coming loose. I went back to the store later that night to exchange them but there were none left in my size! It took a week to get my boots because they checked Edmonton's warehouse, then Vancouver's warehouse, then finally offered to have the ones I purchased shipped out for repair and shipped back the next day. So I did get them back all fixed up, but it took a while to get sorted out. Either way, I am very pleased with the purchase and would go back in the future. They only lose a star because I wish the staff had noticed the stitching issue before I left the store to save me multiple drives. read more

An amazing store for snowboard, skateboard, and stand up paddle board equipment and accessories. Their staff know there stuff, use the stuff they and service the equipment they sell. There are less expensive places to buy gear, but they only carry top brands that have the quality to match. Warren and his staff make sure you know how to use it and care for it. They run demo and lesson days throughout the summer for paddle boarding allowing you to figure out the type of gear you want before purchasing. The Easy Rider also provides excellent service for the equipment they sell. I had an inflatable stand up paddle board that had a seam let go after 2 years. I took it is hoping they could fix it, they did't fix it, they had the manufacturer replace it. This was way beyond what I expected. The staff was an excellent help, I bought my board towards the end of the season, this place was giving out some crazy combination discounts. It's definitely worth a visit. Definitely my favourite Snowboard shop in Edmonton, they also have a huge selection of longboards and now Stand-Up Paddleboards (SUPs). Their staff are super knowledgeable and friendly so if you have a lot of questions about what you're buying make sure you give yourself lots of time when you go in there cause you will get more information than you ever expected. Warren and the gang at ER are actual riders- they know their $hit and carry a solid selection of hard core gear. I came here to buy an iSUP. Was a positive experience and I decided to buy my iSUP here. Then, I went back a couple Saturdays later to buy a board. Could not have been treated any worse. Staff were very reluctant to help out. But I finally brought my purchase to the front, where I was helped by a very knowledgeable salesperson. Bottom line: they have good equipment here.
