The King of Frites

Decadent! That's about the best word to describe their food. Really good would work also, but that's two words. We had the Carne Assda, Mexican corn and the Greek among the six of us and there was nothing left when we were done. The owner/cashier was really friendly and outgoing as well. I don't really go looking for food trucks but I'll definitely hit them up the next time I'm in the same place they are. Ps kids went back for the pizza frites and loved them.

Phoenix's newest food truck takes frites (fries) to a whole new level! Flip mastered the art of the French Fry and adds his own unique blends of former toppings. Carne Asada, Duck Confit, Pork Belly, or Tofu there is something here for everyone! #FritesFan forever!

Gotta get to Frites St. Hubby and I had the Pork Belly and the Carne Asada Frites! Those potatoes were cooked perfectly and the savory toppings left us happily rubbing our full tummies. Flip is so friendly and the whole team is passionate about their business. Hurry in and get some #GBD! (Golden Brown Delicious) Frites!

Duck frites!

I'm a huge fan of local joints that offer delicious, unique creations and this place exceeded my expectations. Not only are the frites (fries) awesome with a crunchy exterior and soft inside, but they are covered in tantalizing sauces from a well made poutine to a range of well executed flavored mayos. For a truly AZ fry, go for their carne asada! Everything is served in an easy to eat container and with a smile.

Just tried Frites Street today and just had to share how amazing my experience was! BEST FRENCH FRIES EVER! The fries are golden and crispy on the outside with a warm soft potato center. I ordered the poutine with duck confit and fried egg. ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR. Best food truck meal that I have ever tasted and phenomenal customer service. So good.

Met the crew at the Uptown Farmer's Market today. Great service and the Garlic Parmesan Frites (mit curry ketchup) was amazing! Thanks!

I had already dug in but this Cuban was perfect!

Delicious. Loved the poutine fries. Very friendly service. So glad they were at St Timothy's food truck Friday event.

The Pemberton is a large outdoor entertainment venue in downtown Phoenix. Park along the street or…read moredo as we did and pull up in electric scooters. Entry is free, but you do enter through security guards and pat downs. As soon as we were through security, we were immersed in art through color and sound. It felt like an unending psychedelic labyrinth! Through bushes, we spotted meat cooking on a grill. To our left was a lit up bar, the first of many. Keep walking, and soon we were surrounded by paintings. It was like a choose-your-own adventure! Go left towards art or step to the right to find a covered turf lawn with a live band. We grabbed cocktails at a variety of bars, including a Japanese inspired garden. It was like a lucid dream. We walked through an L.E.D. tunnel, passed couples sitting at elevated hexagon shaped booths, and at one point ended up in a house with a dance party. It's a unique concept. Fun for an intimate date night or an outing with friends.

The drinks and food lines were longer than usual 10-15mins. We explored several inner sections of the venue and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It felt lively and fun, with a bit of adventure as we walked around. I'd definitely recommend this as a solid 4th or 5th date spot, great energy, social, lounge, saki bar, margarita bar and something a little different but all in one place.

From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

It makes a huge difference and adds the perfect crunch. Their cabeza and lengua are also incredibly flavorful, moist, and well-balanced. Nothing is overly salty which I really appreciate. My friend tried the pork belly taco, and it was crispy and packed with flavor so that's definitely on my list for my next visit. A quick tip: bring cash. They do take credit cards, but there's a 3% fee. There's no free water fountain, but bottled water is available for purchase, along with some classic homemade drinks you can try. The staff here are friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor seating is clean and comfortable. There's even a handwashing station with soap and paper towels provided which is a nice touch. Overall, such a great spot! I can't wait to come back again!

I wish there was more limones and cucumbers on the plate. The salsas were really good, and the perfect balance of spice and taste. For a food truck, the area is clean and big enough for 2+. We used to visit and push tables together and just enjoy the night. Which is what I felt visiting. The meat is still so juicy, and food is just hot to touch. Definitely a good place to visit after a game or concert!
