My husband was pretty happy that Frites Street was the attending truck, because he loves his fries. He bought this massive cone of fries slathered with garlic, oil, and luscious curls of Parmesan. Cheese is my weakness, and this is GOOD CHEESE. So I kept stealing cheese, and little crisps of frites, and it was fantastic. They generously salted everything to perfection. You actually get a lot of fries for the cost. We were very impressed! We'll be coming back to 8-Bit and hope Frites Street will be there again, too. read more

The fries/frites themselves are amazing. Perfectly crispy, just the right size, lovely soft interior. I had the poutine mainly because it's hard to find this dish in AZ. The gravy was thin, and not very flavorful. The dish itself was slightly oversalted. The cheese curds were large, still cold and very dense when placed on top of the fries, so when I ate the fries, all I could taste was a hunk of cold cheese and salt with the fries. I tried their classic pommes frites with southwest mayo this past weekend at the vegetarian festival. The fries were the big fat slices of potato kind of fries, that's the kind I like! It came sprinkled with nice chunks of salt. The southwest mayo really wasn't spicy at all, so I would have preferred more of a kick. As for price, $6.75 was a little steep for one basket of fries, but we enjoyed the warm food on a cold overcast morning, so I can't complain too much. read more

Decadent! That's about the best word to describe their food. Really good would work also, but that's two words. We had the Carne Assda, Mexican corn and the Greek among the six of us and there was nothing left when we were done. The owner/cashier was really friendly and outgoing as well. I was very disappointed with my carne asada fries. I usually love crispy salty fries but these were way too crispy and way too salty. Plus, they were $12 and you are expected to tip! The cashier (Braden) was very friendly but I find it offensive to ask for tips when I sign my credit card slip electronically on the ipad. Why would I be expected to tip a cashier for taking my order or tip a cook for cooking my food? I'm happy to tip when being served but I wasn't being served. I walked up to a truck! All in all I paid $14 for gigantic, dry, salty fries with siracha poured all over them with a few pieces of meat scattered about. I was with a party of 7 and unfortunately we all purchased the carne asada frites. I wish some of us would have tried something else to have something to compare to. Fry-TASTIC!! Frites Street food truck was over by my work yesterday and a few of the girls and I at work decided we wanted to give it a try. I'm not going to lie... I was a little skeptical of the GIANT FRIES, and I thought I was going to be given a small portion. Boy was I wrong! The Giant Fries were PERFECT. How do you get Fries that big to be THAT CRISPY!? I think its super smart though, because it keeps the fries from getting soggy underneath all the delicious toppings they put over them. And the portions... Well let's just say I ended up giving half to one of my friends at work I was so full 1/2 way through. I got the Cuban Fries. I love me a good Cuban sandwich and this stacked up to any Cuban I've ever had. The Ham was perfectly cooked, even had a little Char. The Pulled pork was so tender. I'm not sure what sauce they had with the mustard but it was creamy and delicious and not over powering. But I think my favorite part was the home made pickles on top. If they had a jar of them I probably would have purchased them. 2 of my friends got the Chicken Nacho Fries. Unfortunately they did not share haha! But they looked great!! This was our first time at Frite Street and it was excellent. We both had the carne asada and it was delicious. The steak was tender and flavorful and the tomatillo sauce was great, but the best part is that it is sitting on top of the best frites you will eat! They had a nice crispy exterior and then a smooth mashed potato taste inside. We definitely will be following them so we can eat more frites. read more

I tried Frites Street at the Melrose Street Fair and the Jerusalem Fries I munched were super good. Lemon herb chickpeas, pistachios, carrots, pomegranate seeds, raisins, and queso fresco on top of crispy steak fries with some onion mayo for dipping. I wish I had shared them as I couldn't get through the whole portion but no matter. The topping amount was generous but personally I would have taken even more of it and a few less fries. When I originally stumbled upon this truck at the Food Truck Caravan in Old Town Scottsdale, my group was immediately greeted by a very cheery gent who explained their product to us. His explaination made my mouth water and I knew that I had to try their delicious frites. Opted for the frites with cheese and pork belly. First noted was how hot the food was. Tremendous! The frites were a nice golden and covered in cheese and a hefty piece of pork belly. I couldn't wait to dig in! The frites were cooked perfectly and the pork belly was seasoned and tasted great. Delicious!!! I just had the Thai Chicken Frites and they were exceptional! The frys were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the chicken was tender and well seasoned, the peanut sauce was on point, and the slaw was a nice crisp addition! This is just personal preference however the truck was an awesome atmosphere. The guys in the truck were very friendly and courteous. The Strawberry Lemonade was great as well. However my Carolina pulled pork frites were lacking as the Carolina sauce was heavy on the mustard and not enough tang for a Carolina bbq. I ordered a gyro on top of french fries... It is absolutely delicious! I can't have gluten, so they put the gyro ingredients on the fries instead of a pita. Very friendly, they didn't charge me extra though I think they could have easily justified doing that. I have tried both the pork belly as well as the poutine (plus duck). Both were fabulous and tasty, with good "mouth feel." The potatoes are perfectly cooked, thick, wedge cut fries. They also have a number of tasty sauces that they have created as well. The staff are very friendly, as well as quite helpful in explaining their various offerings. This place is shady and horrible. When I ordered a plate of the parmesan fries on food truck Friday in old town Peoria, it said $8 on the menu and the other food trucks already had tax included on the even dollar amount price they had for everything on the menu, so when I paid from them the young girl with blonde hair said $9. I gave her that expecting change but nope. I asked where my change was and her one worded answer was "tax" and shut the door on my face..tax for $8 isn't over a dollar. So of course I went to their website to tell someone about it, not sure who I talked to, but their response for what I just said up top was "I don't believe that happened but we were out of coins and next time you come we'll give you an extra side of ketchup". It was extremely insulting already as the sides of sauce they give you are half way filled up 2oz cups. You have an employee/or overall staff that is being unfair towards customers and when I go out for a good time with my family I don't appreciate someone trying to take advantage of us. read more
