Riquísimo!! Came by to visit the hardware store, and spotted the big "Fritanga" sign. Naturally, my Nicaraguan self will go in and judge their cacao. Well, I couldn't walk past the food and not try it. Let me tell you, it was as delicious as it looked. This is authentic nicaragüense food. It tastes just like my mom's cooking. That's how I know it's good! Definitely give this place a shot. Can't wait to come back :)

On the outside it's a little unassuming even though the plaza itself is nice, but the decor inside was elegant. Our server was really friendly. Unfortunately, she di forget to bring into our appetizer. But we even forgot until after we were eating dinner so we didn't say anything (and it turns out it wasn't on the check either). We went at around 8:30 pm on a Friday night and there were only a few other tables, it they're open until 3am so we assume it is more of a late night spot. We both thought the food was incredible though. I had salmon (which was cooked to perfection) and cilantro rice. I ordered vegetables (zucchini, tomatoes, and broccolini) which were also surprisingly tasty. My husband had the mofongo. It was just different from the typical Puerto Rican mofongo in that didn't come with sauce other than some garlic sauce, but the taste was still great. He also liked the chicken that came with it. We will def be returning here in the future!

The place was pretty empty on a Thursday afternoon like 2pm. I ordered the chicken lomo and lentil soup and wow. The waiter was also really welcoming. Inside the ambiance was nice, I am sure it would be a lively dinner spot too. The menu has a variety of Latin choices and it was hard for me to decide. I'll be back! I knocked off one star because for it not being so busy the service was a tad slow but his attitude was so great and I wasn't in a rush I didn't mind too much.

We convinced him to take our order. He then proceeded to tell us that he was not going to have more than 3 different checks. We proceeded to order an appetizer and our meals. Well we got the message as he brought all the food together. JORGE never checked on us when we received our meals. Didn't offer to see if we needed a refill on our drinks. Totally spoiled the ambiance. We didn't even wait for our friends. We got the check and let the manager know how we were treated. I warned my girlfriend about the experience and had her request another server. Too bad. The food was delicious and filling.
