You might expect a quality company that does the right things given it's a family legacy concrete business of 90 years, but that is NOT what they provide. Dealing with them was a nightmare. FCON cut corners, knowingly did unpermitted work that failed two city codes, was caught by an inspector, then charged me extra to fix it while holding my driveway hostage despite an "expedited" timeline, took my money immediately but rarely showed up to do the job even with frequent follow-up calls, alternated between no communication and lying to me repeatedly, and took 2.5 weeks for a small job, which is 5 times longer to complete than an average job stated in their contract. The cleanup was substandard, leaving splatters all over the front screen door, deep concrete tire grooves in the front yard and a sprinkling of grass seed, and the re-worked section is a noticeably different color from the rest of the driveway. Who knows what other corners were cut or how long it will last? Word to the wise: Reputable companies will obtain proper permits and inspections rather than actively avoiding them. If the contract states that the homeowner is to obtain permits, immediately find a different company!

Asked him to confirm time needed for project and if he would entertain an extra $300 to finish prior to Christmas. Response was 2 to 3 days and would get back to me about Christmas. Reached out 12/11, 11am - got response 4:30pm asking for a call - agreed to extra money before Christmas and asked for check to be dropped off for $700. Did so @pm 12/14 and looking forward to seeing him 12/16 @ 9am. He worked Saturday, including a Lowes run. Was due back 12pm Sunday, had to change it to 2pm. Monday came (day 3) and worked - not finished. Wednesday, 12/20, got text saying sick in bed. Told him just needed to make sure basement was done due to family coming in for holidays. 12/21 worked some. 12/22, texted saying more time not feeling well, asked if he would be done by noon - he didn't think so - 10am, he texted he couldn't come, asked tomorrow, he said yes (another Saturday). He got to a point that wall issues were corrected and the door still had work to be done, but agreed the week after Christmas ..... Waiting until 1/4 - texted asking where he was and remember he was paid an extra $300 - now had to text a 2nd time, then the sick/Covid card is played. Refused to make a time or anything. I posted 2 reviews documenting these issues. Forward to 1/8, now he refuses work because I had the nerve to post reviews - Says do what you wish, he doesn't care. Even offered to remove reviews if finished - refused **** at this point, I either (1) want the project finished and will remove reviews or (2) $500 refund, because I had to purchase paints for him to do the project and the $300 paid to have the project finished by 12/25 *** other $700 check was paid 12/23/cashed 12/27 Continued complaint: After I filed the complaint w/BBB and informed him, he texted me "apologize for overly reacting and I'll consider finishing the favor" I responded I would be willing to remove complaints but he did not return my text on Monday, Tuesday (12:56pm), Thursday (3:09pm), Friday (12:02pm) ... my last text Saturday @ 12:47pm told him I would be moving forward with complaints and reporting. 2/6/24 Per AG, they can do nothing - because this man LIED to them in writing. At least the letter says it doesn't mean my complaint is without merit.
