He was very timely in all our communications, worked very closely personally with the insurance company to get all work done, including all new building code updates. He was personally up on the roof of our home with the insurance company adjuster to make sure everything was pointed out and understood by the adjuster. The impact-resistant shingles were perfectly installed as well as sealing the furnace flue and fireplace flue. Great job removing all debris, including roofing nails. After several heavy rains, NO LEAKS AT ALL!!!!!! His installation crew was all-business and got the job done right! We have State Farm, and they referred us to Black Dog Roofing, and are we glad they did?! Every step of the way, it's been a fantastic experience with Black Dog. John came out, inspected and marked the roof, answered all our questions, advocated with the State Farm appraiser, and recommended some strategic upgrades that make a ton of sense. They guided us through materials and color selection (including running multiple samples out to us when we couldn't make up our minds), worked with us on payment, and were in constant communication via text, answering my questions and in general making everything easy. They acted fast too. It took a little over a month from start to finish to get our new roof, and we love it. The materials arrived exactly when they said they would, and so did the workers. Then they got it done in a single day, and when we got home, we couldn't even tell they had been there. It was like a new roof just magically appeared on our home. Awesome. Everything I'd hoped for. In terms of cost, I have never gotten a new roof before, so I have no frame of reference, but the costs all along the way felt reasonable to me. And insurance covered most of it (except the upgrades, obviously), which was great. Next, they are replacing one elevation of siding and then our gutters and downspouts. I'll update my review after that's done, but so far I couldn't be more pleased. If you need work on your roof, definitely check these guys out.

Good experience with Brautigam!…read more Got a bad roof installation and bought the spiel of Stormguard in Pacific, MO to fix a leak (big mistake). Stormguard's repair lasted about a whopping 4 months...and after verbally promising it was "warrantied for a year"--refused to honor it! Called Brautigam and asked for an emergency repair to prevent interior damage. (Oh no!) They came 10 days later, on a SUNDAY no less! Which I sincerely appreciated since it's March and the storms here in the midwest can get pretty bad. Not only that, but charged a very reasonable price. I feel so relieved it won't be raining in the house! AVOID Stormguard in PACIFIC--they were horrible, horrible, horrible!

We threw St. Louis Roofing and Exteriors on the list just because the reviews on Yelp seemed pretty good. Wow, were we impressed! We got a prompt call back and an estimator looked at the roof the next day. Our estimate was very detailed, offering several options. St. Louis Roofing and Exteriors had the best price and we really appreciated the fact that they didn't try to sell us a bunch of other things we really didn't need. Work on our roof was started fairly quickly and completed in an amazing 2-3 days. Our property was cleaned up thoroughly and we were happy. For a while. Then it rained and our new beautiful roof leaked. We called to complain and they got right back with us, came out quickly and worked on the roof some more. It was still leaking so they came out a second time and it's been dry as bone ever since. Is that great customer service, or what? No excuses, no arguments, they just got right on it and made it right. We've since moved to the Kansas City area or we would have them work on our home again in an instant! Lynn and Thom-picky customers, but completely satisfied.

I came home to my parking spot and ramp to enter my home blocked, I asked the construction worker to move the truck, he attempted to ignore me. I had to honk at him repeatedly and wait about 10 minutes to get them to move. I also found out my neighbor had told them to move as soon as they parked in the spot and they ignored them and parked illegally. The next day they knocked on my door 4 separate times while I worked from home trying to force me to move my car from my accessible spot to get out of there way even though the HOA rep had said nothing about people needing to move for them, and again not what accessible spots are made for. Construction on the project got delayed 5 days beyond there promised timeline. They were made aware I needed access and still blocked access, don't give excuses do better.
