My project involved the removal of a spa and pool from my backyard in San Dimas to make way for a clean slate and remodel. I did a comprehensive search with calls to five different potential companies. After the results of my interactions/estimates with the potential companies, the clear choice was Frisch and Sons! It is very apparent that this team, from the wonderful woman that answered the company phone, to the contractor, Bobby Frisch, was a true professional. All of their work, from start to finish, was completed in the timeline that Bobby clearly outlined for me. Bobbi had the knowledge of the city's requirements and the job was completed within the timeline promised. Questions are encouraged and I was informed of the expectation with every step in the process. This company takes pride in their work and it shows! Great job! read more

Bobby and his crew recently completed a job in Placentia where they removed a pre-existing spa and fountain and filled each in with concrete. First thing I'll talk about is his crew. Heber and his crew were very professional, on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. They started on a Wednesday and were done Monday early afternoon.Very obvious that they are a professionals because they were very efficient each day with very little to zero downtime, especially in the heat. Lastly, was so easy to work with Bobby. He is very upfront with the cost of the job and explains very thoroughly the details.I would give 10 stars just for communication alone and the speed of his replies. I would literally see the 3 dots of him replying to my text before I even hit the send button!I've never seen someone text back so quickly and I have a teen and pre-teen! So glad my first option (nice guy but so slow in his replies) fell through that led me to search again to find Frisch and Sons. Why Frisch and Sons don't have 5 stars across the board is criminal. They probably did a job for someone that's mad at the world and are constant complainers. Disregard those furries. You won't be sorry going with Frisch and Sons. read more

I wish all the contractors I've dealt with were as incredible as Bobby and his team. We needed to have a pool removed & new landscaping installed and Frisch & Sons came as a referral from our realtor. Bobby's estimate was comprehensive and the job was completed to budget. His schedule was met and his communications were concise, timely and thorough enough to put any concerns to rest, but not too verbose as to overwhelm. We had plenty of questions and he had all the answers (and suggestions where needed!). He also had a great command of his crew and their different strengths and deployed them appropriately. There was always the right one for the job at hand and it all went great. Sergio and his finishing crew were skilled craftsmen and they did an incredible job bringing our project across the finish line. City inspections and compaction reports all went smoothly (notoriously tough with our city) and my only complaint is that my other contractors aren't like him! We are so pleased with Frisch & Sons that we plan to use them on another job later this year. read more

Bobby was great! He was prompt, concise, and on point. The process was hassle-free, they handled all the paperwork (permits), and everything was explained very clearly. We had the pool and concrete removed. They brought all the materials, moved a portion of the fence (to bring the materials in, they put it back after), and cleaned up really well. For Costa Mesa, I believe it was worth the cost. I definitely recommend them! read more

Frisch & Sons exceeded our expectations on a small backyard project. They met with us twice before starting the project to get an idea of what we wanted and were easy to communicate and schedule with! The concrete work is beautiful and they fixed the water issues we were having, sloping it away from our house. The project was completed on schedule and everyone was friendly and easy to work with! Based on the work and time done, the price seemed right for the value of labor and materials. Will use them again! read more

The next saga continues, finally no more pool! After Bobby and his crew demoed the pool, took care of all of the permits and city of Fountain Valley inspections we were fortunate enough to get on the schedule for a new planter and concrete pad. They built a low planter along the entire existing wall and filled it with top soil so that we can plant things that aren't weeds and then poured my beautiful concrete patio. They also patched and finished my projects that I hadn't gotten to over the last 10 years. Extremely happy with the results and workmanship and the worst part now is figuring out what new patio furniture to buy along with a new awning. Grass for the dogs is next! Bobby was great with a fantastic crew. They did our pool demo and concrete skirt removal in Fountain Valley. Simple things like being on time, daily clean up and pretty much doing what they said they were going to do puts these guys at the front of my list and on my recommendations to family and friends. Can't wait for them to do my retaining wall and concrete pad so we can start having BBQ's again! Finally, a yard and no more huge water bills. Awesome! read more

I purchased my home in the early 2000's in Cypress, CA and for 25 years, my family and I really enjoyed using our pool during the summer. But as all the kids have grown up and no one is really using the pool anymore, I made the decision to have my pool demo'd. Especially since I didn't want to have to worry about its constant upkeep and associated fees. Bobby from Frisch & Sons was recommended through a neighbor and I am not only happy with the end result, but with the entire process. After the initial consultation, it did take quite a bit of time for all the necessary permits to be obtained and for the actual demo to be scheduled and completed (12 weeks in total). But I was kept updated throughout the wait. Any time I had a question, I received a response same day. The demolition itself was quite fast, a few days to take apart the pool, fill it with dirt, and have it pass inspection. The dirt did sit in my driveway for a couple days, but after it was used up to fill the pool, they power washed my driveway. My pool also had an elevated space to sit in the deep end (which made it's overall shape odd), so after the pool was filled in with dirt, that space was cemented over. A final walk through was conducted to address any remaining concerns, and they leveled off the dirt for me (as it had rained and the dirt settled unevenly). I chose not to have any grass installed, as I had my own plans, but that was also a service that offered. I am now using the new space for my gardening projects, and I am quite excited to see what it'll become. Should you be looking to give your backyard a second life, I recommend Frisch & Sons to help you do so. read more

We hired Frisch & Sons Inc to do a demo at our rental property for our in-ground pool and also to install turf where the pool used to be. We can't thank Bobby and the Frisch & Sons team enough for doing such an incredible job. We appreciate their professionalism and expertise throughout the entire project. And also always responding right away to all our questions and keeping us in the loop of everything going on. We also appreciate that Bobby accommodated us when we needed to meet on site, since we lived out of town. We couldn't be happier with the finished results. We are glad we chose Frisch & Sons Inc to demo our pool. They were very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. They took care of all the paperwork required by the city, and the project was completed in a timely manner. Frisch & Sons Inc, Bobby Frisch was very up front and honest about cost, time, and the overall process. They were able to remove our pool and fill it within 5 days. Miguel (general manager) removed the plumbing and electrical down as required by the city, so I didn't have to worry about finding a plumber and electrician. Their experience is evident. The team Noelle (operator) and Enrique (the one who cleaned up). They communicated start time and finish time. Pool equipment was removed and everything was done according to city code. Miguel was very knowledgeable and even went out of his way to avoid damage. They hauled away all the trash and even our unwanted junk. We are very pleased with the results. Don't hiring this contractor for pool demo. Got scammed by the contractor. On contract is said back fill pool with "Clean fill dirt". But the soil they used was full of junk and trash like plastic water bottle, wire cable, broken building structures, tree roots and many more, and the workers make very minimum effort of removing the trash and junk. They just keep dumping into the pool. When ask where they obtain the soil, they said it's from excavating company which they don't know where is the source of the soil was from. I check with the County Building and Safety, the contractor did not put source of dirt in their application and the inspector from the B&S was so lazy and stupid that he did not even check and he sign off the permit, even though it a safety requirement from the county B&S to ensure unpermitted dirt not being illegal dump onto the property. So homeowners that use this contractor are pretty much got screwed. read more

We hired Bobby and his team to do a pretty large backyard renovation project in Westminster. Bobby and his crew removed our old pool and backfilled it, then demolished the concrete around it. They then installed new concrete and a mowstrip, and hydroseeded the pool area with grass. He also rehabbed our sprinkler system. Communication was great, and Bobby confirmed the details and design at several points to make sure we were getting what we wanted. He also gave us several options for cost savings. At each point along the way, the crew did cleanup and were very conscientious. Any issues we had were quickly addressed and he was good about giving us a recap of remaining work at the end of each stage. I wish I had pictures that could do it justice! We hired Frisch and Sons on the recommendation of two close neighbors to do hardscape construction in both our front and back yards at our home in Laguna Niguel. Our main projects included a concrete driveway/walkway with flagstone borders, as well as a large area of stacked stone application to walls and pillars. Bobby's crew did a fantastic job. Bobby was in constant contact with us to ensure the project was progressing according to our plans and was quick to address any concerns we had. His foreman Sergio is a friendly, hardworking employee who always has time for questions. I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years (I have lived in my home for 27 years and have done a lot of upgrades), Bobby and his crew are number one on my list of contractors. As a contractor who flips houses for a living I highly recommend this company. They have great prices and their service is excellent.

If you need a pool demolition, Frisch is the right group to go to! I got 3 quotes for my FULL pool demolition and out of all the quotes Frisch was the most knowledgeable in the whole process. He works closely with my city inspector and knows the code very well. His pricing is very fair and for not having to worry about if I'm going to pass or fail my inspection, it was an easy decision to work with Bobby. Bobby is extremely kind, has very good check-ins with us, and took the time to answer every single silly question I had. He was always on top of the schedule and they met their estimated timeline to the dot. Even after the demo was complete, he addressed minor cosmetic damages that just happens when you are moving heavy machinery and cleaned up our space nicely. I have never had such a personal and comfortable experience with a contractor before. I contacted Frisch & Sons about an ongoing backyard project my wife and I were dealing with. Last year we had torn down an old enclosed patio, and had ripped out some concrete. We turned the back of our house into a heap of rubble and dirt, complete with a disgusting old hot tub we had discovered. We hired Bobby and the crew at Frisch & Sons to turn this disaster area into a place for our son to play. From the start Bobby clearly communicated the scope the project, detailed what we could expect, and his expertise helped us make our decisions regarding our design choices with ease. Best of all we felt the quoted price was very competitive for the scale of the work. What was the result? Clear and consistent (as well as polite) communication through the project. The crew was professional and punctual (Our toddler loved looking at their excavator). Bobby gave us the benchmarks, and met with me often to discuss next steps and hiccups along the way. The project was done in a timely manner, and they stuck to the quoted price. I even asked for some additional work to be done which they were absolutely willing to accommodate. Frisch & Sons transformed our back yard from a stark and uninviting wasteland into a place where our family will spend countless hours together playing, relaxing, and enjoying each other's company - and that is priceless. Review of Frisch and Sons demolition. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one. We hired Frisch and Sons to do the demolition of our in ground swimming pool and the surrounding concrete in our back yard. I got 4 quotes, and theirs came in competitively priced, but the reason we chose them was because we really liked Bobby, the owner. Bobby took the time to answer a number of emails and in person questions and concerns we had before signing a contract to do the work. Bobby was professional, and generous with his time in addressing all of our questions. Then came the work. They showed up on time as promised, and his crew got to work immediately. Bobby showed up day one, well ahead of his crew, and we did a walk through, and talked it out, step by step, what was to be done, and not to be done. Then when the crew arrived, we had the same conversation again. He remembered everything we discussed 3 months prior to doing the work. His crew works incredibly hard, and any time we had a question or a concern, his manager Miguel took care of it, or answered our questions. Every day Bobby would check in to make sure things were being addressed appropriately, and that demolition was proceeding as it should. It was obvious that he was in constant communication with his crew, because some times, despite him not even being on site, he would tell me things were done before I even saw them. Every single time I spoke with Bobby he would always ask if I had any questions, and if he had answered my questions to my satisfaction, and every time, without fail, the answer was yes. At the end of the project, when all was said and done, they finished their work up 1 day ahead of schedule. Bobby was very professional, handled the permits himself, answered every single question we had to our satisfaction, took care of everything as requested for this project, and exceeded our expectations in every way he could have. It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Frisch and Sons without hesitation. read more
