I hired this local construction company to haul away some dirt in the community garden. They did an awesome job. Luis runs the Bobcat like a pro and Ricky was the truck driver. The job was done perfectly and a good price, he stayed in my budget. Would definitely hire again. read more

Kennah Construction - Job site so clean afterward. - Demolition Services Near Me

Owner is seemingly a good person. However, there are members of the crew that are not trustworthy and if left unwatched will remove property that is not theirs. If you are concerned about cleanliness and safety, I'd get a few other bids. I took a recommendation from someone to hire this crew, then found out after the fact that they suspected them of the same. Horrible experience, will result in legal action. read more

I can't say enough good things about Steve and his crew. They did a great job filling up our pool. On time, courteous and properly done per code. Everything on schedule and transparent and well coordinated. I highly recommend them. Wish there were more contractors out there like them. read more

What a well run operation to demo our pool. From obtaining the permits, to pricing, to digging and filling our pool with clean dirt, and arranging for all the necessary inspections along the way, we couldn't be happier with Steve and his crew. We had another company quote the job and not only was the other company more expensive, they wanted to tear down a wall. We couldn't recommend Kennah more. read more

I took awhile for me to get in contact with Steve after receiving a bid for demolition of room within my garage. But he did finally (after about of week of waiting) call me back and scheduled me for the next morning. He really meant morning as the 2 man crew were there at 6:45AM. Got me out of bed but I was happy to see them as would not have to wait around for someone to show up. The complete the demo in maybe 3 hours, clean and neat. Hauled away all of the debris included some odds and ends that I wanted disposed. read more

Steve and his crew did an outstanding job with our swimming pool removal job. After shopping around, I decide to go with Steve because of his service and experience with pool removal. Fountain Valley has very strict policy when it comes to construction, but it is for the best interest of the residents. Took a little longer due to the 4th of July holiday and required city inspections. At the end, I am very happy with the result and cleanliness Steve's workers have shown throughout the pool demo and backfill. Steve was always very responsive to all my needs and questions. Thank you. read more

The team at Kennah Construction were very responsive, provided a free estimate that was very reasonable, showed up on time, and finished my kitchen demolition very quickly. The results were excellent and the workers were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend them. read more

Steve Kennah and his crew made my pool removal and fill easier than I thought it was going to be. My pool was lifting off the ground and cracking all the sidewalk around it. I got different quotes on remodeling my pool, but it was going to be as expensive as just getting a brand new pool. So, I got different quotes on removing my pool and just having grass put in. I found Steve on Yelp. I was immediately impressed with his very detailed quote and invoice with the specifics. The other quotes did not do that. His crew showed up on time and were very professional. They cleaned up every day and were done in a week! It was a great experience! read more

Kennah Construction recently completed a full pool removal with engineer backfill project on our property. After doing much research on Yelp and internet, and after several quotes we decided to go with Kennah because of their experience, commitment to excellent customer service, stellar reviews, and we were not disappointed. Due to the fact that our pool was over 30+ years old and very oddly shaped, Terry(foreman) had to utilize 3 different types of bobcats to complete the project. We were so impressed with the way he was able to maneuver the bobcats in and around the pool. Garrett, Terry and all the crew members did an extraordinary job with the whole project. Not to mention the fact that they showed up early everyday and worked tirelessly and got the job done in a timely manner, and cleaned up well after the project completion. They were also friendly and answered any questions we had along the way. They are an excellent crew!! We would highly recommend Kennah Construction to friends, family, and EVERYONE. Thank you Steve, Garrett, and Terry and all your crew for a fantastic job and for our new backyard!!! Kim D. read more

I have Kennah Construction at my house right now removing overgrown trees and bushes, demolishing ugly concrete and cinderblock retaining walls from the 1960's, and leveling my entire yard in preparation for a new sprinkling system and sod. I thought the price was fair and I'm very impressed with the work. They're careful, diligent, expedient guys who showed up early and aren't slowing down. I'm really happy someone recommended them to us. I will definitely recommend them to others. read more

Steve and his team at Kennah Construction were excellent. I was picky about who I wanted to hire to do this job since they would be tearing out a pool and extracting all the concrete around it. They would be demoing our whole backyard! Steve's contract was detailed and thorough. You could tell they have ample experience demoing pools. It wasn't the cheapest bid, but it was reasonable and I felt good about them doing the job. Our demo time happened to coincide with the heaviest rainy season in the history of California, so it wasn't easy. But Steve and Terry provided excellent service. Steve was always available to talk to about any concerns I had with the job whether it was small or large. When I told them the dirt needed to be regraded so that rainwater flowed away from the house, they did it - no problem. When I found a small crack in the driveway caused by their heavy equipment, they patched it up right away. After they finished the work they pressure-washed our driveway. They never complained or dragged their feet in serving us. They did a quality job. I highly recommend them. read more

I hired Kennah Construction to demo my backyard. After ten years of having flagstone, I decided to remove everything and pour concrete so that the kids can play basketball. Kennah Construction had a bobcat tractor and safely hauled all the debris and dirt and left the property clean after the job was finished. Couldn't ask for better. Thanks. read more

Kennah Construction has a Professional and responsible crew. I can't say enough about their crew and how grateful I am for their help. I needed a crew that could demolish a structure that knew exactly what they were doing. The structure was a hazard., so I wanted a qualified business to do it. They are quick, but don't leave the site until you are happy with the results. They also have knowledge in the business to help you save money. I will use them again. Excellent experience! Team was easy to communicate with, came quickly and did a great job! Many thanks

The team from Kennah removed my spa and rock wall in about a week. Orlando and his team were here early every day, they were really cool with my kids, and very concerned about keeping the job site as clean and safe as possible. Very impressed. They pulled all necessary permits and all work was inspected, totally legit. And the price was very reasonable. Overall we are extremely pleased. read more

We purchased a property in Norwalk that had a pool filled to the top with dirt. We we're sure if it was filled properly and called a few demo companies for their opinions. Steve, with Kennah Construction, was the quickest to get back to us and the first to submit a bid. I appreciated that the bid was thoroughly written out, line item by line item, with everything they would do. Steve also called right after he sent it to discuss everything on it. While we had a verbal bid that was lower (we also had a bid that was higher), we decided Kennah Construction was the company we wanted to work with. Steve knew that we were on a strict time constraint and he fit us in almost immediately. The job, with permits and inspections, was done in less than a week. We couldn't believe it. Steve graciously updated us throughout the project, as this is a flip and we weren't on site. Just an overall pleasure to work with! Kennah Construction will definitely be added to our list of "go-to" companies that we will use on future projects. read more

Selected Kenna out of several contenders for our pool demolition project because of their knowledge of city regulations (which they documented in contract), quick and detailed response to all my questions/concerns, reference (I visited a work site of theirs), reasonable price and payment plan (no upfront payment). They partially removed our large swimming pool and concrete (pool deck) in backyard. All Kenna workers were nice, polite and professional. Project manager Steve provided great communication. We met nearly all Kenna workers during the project. City inspections all went well. Highly recommend Kenna's works and service. read more

I can't say enough about Kenneh Construction. It was a big decision to take out my pool, and from the beginning I was impressed by the professionalism of Steve Espenchied, who came out for the estimate. All my questions were answered promptly. The crew was flexible with my time schedule, as I had out of town guests in when the construction was scheduled to begin. It was rescheduled to the next day - no big deal. The crews arrived early each day and worked hard. They were very well coordinated and used time to the maximum. They pulled all necessary permits and called for inspections; there was no downtime. Everyone here was friendly and respectful, and they were responsive to my day-to-day questions. They appeared to enjoy their jobs, and enjoy working with each other. All-in-all it was about an 8 day job. Clean-up was done each day. When the final inspection was done, our city inspector told me they had done a good job! read more

I decided to reach out to Kennah Construction based on other reviews on yelp to take out a much neglected pool in the backyard. Steve came out and gave us a fair quote and work began the following month. His crew showed up as scheduled and on-time. Through the whole process, Steve took the time to answer all our questions and took care of any issues that arose. This was a large project and I truly appreciate the professionalism of the crew and the company. I highly recommend their services, Kennah Construction should be the first and last company you should call!! read more

This place had excellent reviews on Yelp, so I invited Steve to give me an estimate on demolishing my pool. Everything they said in the other reviews was true. The workers were on time, completed the job in less time than Steve estimated, and cleaned up the site to my satisfaction. Every time I called or texted Steve, I got a quick reply (which is unusual for contractors). I felt like Steve was more than happy to answer my questions or explain the process. If I have any future construction needs, I will be sure to call him again. read more

My parents and I are very satisfied with the pool demo that Steve and his crew did! The work was done in a timely manner and his crew were professionals at their job. Kennah Construction demolished our pool with the best team one could ask for. Every step of the way we were kept informed by the owner Steve...we were never ever left hanging on any issue. Pricing was very very reasonable. Their work was so good that we also had them remove virtually all the concrete on our property so that we can now re-landscape everything. Thank you Steve, Garrett, Adam, Tyler and Danny. You guys are the best! If you are planning a demolition, especially a pool demolition, go straight to Kennah; their service is unparalleled. read more

Kennah did a great job in filling in our pool. They started the project on time, communicated well whenever there was any issues, and completed very close to projected end date. The only issue that came up is where to dump the soil and it ended up being the front yard due to the city not allowing soil to be dumped on the street. This was discussed beforehand though. Much appreciated. read more

Kennah provided a great price est. to demo a two car concrete parking pad on the side of our N. Tustin property. The one-man crew was on-time, and made quick work of the demo & removal. The area was clean & level when he left. I will absolutely call Kennah when we get ready to concrete our driveway & highly recommend their services to others. read more

Our pool man was alarmed at the rate our pool was losing water. To make matters worse, that water was going straight into the hillside. This was causing the hardscape around the pool to sink. We started getting bids for filling the pool with dirt. The first guy seemed very knowledgeable and had some good suggestions, but then completely fell off the face of the Earth. No returned phone calls, nothing. Another guy came and did his best to scare the heck out of us. He told us there is so much water under the pool and it is under so much pressure, that if we don't fill it with rocks while we're draining it, that it would "jump" out of its footing and cause major damage. We asked him to estimate what it would cost to do it his way. He never sent us an estimate, but called a week later asking "have you made up your mind yet?" Then there was Steve, from Kennah. Straight talk. He told us exactly what he would do, showed us the city code for filling it up and followed up with a very detailed estimate, via email. Any time we called, he either picked up the phone directly, or called back in a short time after leaving a message. No nonsense. He conveyed a sense of confidence that it would turn out fine. As it happens, we actually talked to 5 companies, and of those who gave us a number, his was lowest. When his crew came to set up and go to work, they were friendly, professional and efficient. They worked quietly, they took great care in preserving our property and it was easy to see they knew what they were doing. I could not be more thrilled with the work they did, nor the working relationship with Steve and his people. Truly, they made the process easy. They patiently answered every question we asked. They kept us posted on every step. They took responsibility. In all, it went exactly as Steve promised it would. The City Inspector commented at least 3 times during the work and afterwords as well, that the crew did an excellent job. I would use Kennah Construction again in a heartbeat and I would recommend them without any reservation. read more

The Kennah crew was great from start to finish! I had them demo my 40 year old backyard pool. Took about a week just as they estimated. All the workers were great from the initial crew of Garrett and Tyler, right through Adam and his crew. I think Adam's first toy when he was little was a Bobcat. I've never seen anybody operate one more efficiently. The price was very competitive, I am very satisfied with the quality and professionalism of the entire team (sorry I forgot a couple of names) and I highly recommend them for any demolition job you have in mind. Thanks to Steve and his employees for a job well done! read more

We had a large pool and surrounding concrete deck removed. The job actually started a day early, and Steve's crew did an excellent and professional job. At one point we had three bobcats on site, trucks delivering gravel/dirt, and another hauling away concrete. They were very well organized and the inspection process was very timely. I was extremely happy with the fact their operators were skillful and careful when removing concrete next to the house and retaining wall. In all, I would highly recommend Kennah Construction for pool and concrete removal. read more

Steve and the crew were all very professional and got the job done fast at a very reasonable cost. Their truck accidentally damaged our iron gate, and they replaced it at no cost without us even having to ask. I'd definitely recommend them to friends and family. read more

Kennah removed our backyard pool and all patio concrete in October 2013. Steve is nice to work with. We liked all of his crew too - very personable and easy to communicate with. Project looked great when they were done. Then we moved on to the project of new hard-scape and landscape for the backyard. We discovered 2 problems. 1. We intended to use the gas line for the old pool heater and extend it to a new BBQ area. Discovered Kennah cut it at the meter and at the other end and filled with foam. Now we have to install a new line at a considerable expense. This was never brought to us. 2. They say they will cut down the side walls of the pool 18" below grade. We found sections that were only 4" below grade. Had to pay the new contractor to lower the old pool walls for drain system, new water lines, etc. We were surprised to see this as we were told our city pool removal code required a much lower depth than what we found (4"-6"). Now we are concerned about how well grass, plants & trees will grow in the old pool wall areas. Called Steve to discuss and he did not pick up and did not call us back. We suggest you do your own inspections as they work to avoid these problems. read more
