I bought 02 cars with them and I will buy again because the prices and services are the differential of that store.

Professional service, but two major safety oversights…read more I have mixed feelings about my recent experience at Purdy Hyundai. I brought my 2024 Hyundai Elantra in for a 30,000-mile service (costing $1,100), but what followed was an incredibly stressful and dangerous afternoon. The Issues: Engine Failure: After leaving, my car blew a cloud of black smoke and lost power while entering the freeway in heavy semi-truck traffic. I had to limp back to the dealership with the engine shaking. It turns out a step was missed during the fuel line cleaning, leaving non-fuel residue in the lines. Undercarriage Failure: After the first "fix," I headed home again. 40 minutes into my drive, the front undercarriage cover fell halfway off and began dragging. I was stranded on a rural stretch of the freeway, 40 minutes from the dealership. The Recovery: Despite these major mechanical oversights, the staff at Purdy Hyundai were exceptionally kind and professional. When I called from the side of the road--exhausted and frustrated--they were apologetic and immediately offered a loaner and a tow. While they didn't have staff available to drive to my rural location that evening, they coordinated through Hyundai AAA to get me off the road quickly. The next morning, they replaced the damaged panel and personally drove my car out to my home (almost an hour away) to deliver it to me. Verdict: The technicians clearly made some significant errors that put me in a dangerous situation. However, the management and service advisors handled the aftermath with grace and high-level accountability. They made it right, even though the experience was a nightmare. I appreciate their kindness, but I hope their service department implements better quality control checks in the future. I thought about giving a star rating of 3, but chose 4 instead because I've taken my car here for all service needs since I bought it, and have had nothing but positive experiences. I also chose to give a score of 4 stars because of the professionalism and accountability from all staff members who helped me. My car is doing much better now, as am I.

She rolled her eyes and whipped her head back as if I had said something inappropriate. I let her know that we're a serious buyer, and if that is a problem I can leave. I then asked her to go get her Manager due to being rude after that. (She never got one) We waited 20minutes to find a car we found online after being told it was there. To then be told it got sold, to then pick out another car listed which was listed with no damage... had deep scratches down the right side and took 20 minutes to find as well. They weren't willing to change the pricing in anyway, so we decided to walk. Before walking out, the sales manager offered us a base model ELANTRA for 19.9k. After going up and down on different cars for a hour, I wanted to think about it. We came back 3 days later and the Manager said it was only that day...never communicated that at all. We already bought a brand new car from Kia so I don't need a solution from Hyundai. But I did feel that it was important to share that this dealership did not make us feel valued, or welcomed in anyway. Even if they weren't able to keep that exact deal coming out to shake our hands and apologize would've gone a long way.

This is a perfect example of your standard-issue, grimy, shady used car gyp joint. Know one thing…read moreup front.: They want to rip you off in every possible way that they can. They will bait-and-switch. They will not disclose known issues with the car you are looking into, and you can bet that they will pull all your favorite dishonest shenanigans to trick you into buying a piece of sh*t car with a myriad of expensive problems to fix. They will disconnect the battery before your test drive to reset the "check engine" or other warning lights that would let you know that there's a mechanical issue. This is the reason why you only get a 3 mile test drive on roads that won't allow you to go over 35 mph. They sure don't want that light kicking back on in the middle of the test drive, now, do they? Then you might start asking questions they don't want to answer, or can't answer without blowing the sale. If you leave without buying something that day, make sure you give them a fake number, unless you want to be harassed and pressured at least once a day for at least a week. If you're stupid or desperate enough to buy a lemon from these vampires, make sure you pay close attention to this ridiculous "15 Step Detail" checklist they initial (while you're inside officializing one of your biggest life mistakes as an adult and cannot see that they didn't do anything outside of clearing fault codes and over inflating your tires) and tuck into your glove compartment. Do yourself a favor and check to see if any of these things have been done (I attached a picture of the checklist so you know what to look for) and you will learn what kind of lying, deceitful grifters you're dealing with. Just about every detail was fudged on mine, which became apparent to me only after driving home and having the "check engine" light come on about 20 minutes from the dealership. They also screwed up and triggered the TPMS warning light that was NOT on during my 90 second test drive by inflating the tires when it wasn't even necessary. Lo and behold, the TPMS warning will not go off even after making certain that the tires were inflated to precisely the 30 psi specified on the sticker in the door jamb. This is about the time I look over this "15 Step Detail" bullsh*t and realize I'd been had. #9, "Degrease Engine", was initialed but proven to be pencil whipped when I got out of the car and heard that brisk tapping sound that anyone who has ever owned a used car knows well to be a good 'ol fashioned OIL LEAK. And we aren't talking a drip or 2. It was dropping at a pretty good rate (about the speed of saying "taptaptaptaptaptap" in a hurried but intelligible cadence). There was no mention of an oil leak at any point, even when I asked very directly if there were any common issues such as fluid leaks, transmission slippage, high speed wobble/noise. The answer I was given was "Oh no, not at all, when we purchase our stock, it goes through reconditioning where they diagnose any issues and repair them." Obviously this is a lie, because the VW I bought was in need of an AC blend door ($1500), brakes/rotors/shocks ($5k) and an extremely volatile electrical issue that induced schizophrenia in the computer (never did get a correct diagnosis and/or repair quote, but symptoms included going into neutral at 70 mph, ABS faults, traction control system faults). All this before my first oil change. As if this wasn't bad enough, they make it difficult to submit payments... their online payment system will refuse to accept your debit card if you have a "credit builder" option on your account whether you use it or not, which means that if you use Chime, forget about making payments with it. I guess they don't want you to improve your credit rating enough to be able to go to a legitimate dealership that is willing to do marginally honest business with you the next time you're in need of a new car. (Which won't be long if you buy one from these clowns) I was charged late fees when I was unable to make my payment because of this for two weeks and finally had to go get a reloadable Visa to make the payment. I still wasn't able to make the payment through their online "payment portal" because of a zip code error and wound up having to use the glacially slow phone payment option, which actually charges you an extra $3.00 to make your car payment. They claim that you can also use Vanilla Direct at certain retailers to make a payment, but that's a bald faced lie, because there is no way to obtain a barcode for them to scan at the register... or maybe this is possible, but the staff at Car Mart are just going to dummy up if you ask them. Don't even bother with the chat help system you see on their website. I've left them numerous messages and never have they responded to a single one of them. They want you to have a hard time making your payment. gives them a reason to come steal your car back from you and hold it for ransom, or just keep your money and the jalopy.

They finally put a new battery in one of them. And it finally did start when they sold us the car the bumper was glued on with black Loctite or gorilla glue. It had no bumper housing underneath and was held on with zip ties. Their so-called mechanic is a moron. The oil engine dipstick was broken in half when they sold us the car and when I checked the oil when we got home, I noticed that it was too short and let them know and they said well. We checked the oil before we sold it so you must have broken it off. They sell nothing but lemons, knowing that people need a reliable vehicle and they intentionally do it. They butter them up just enough to get them sold, and then once they're sold, they throw their hands in the air and say too bad so sad. This place is a joke. They knew that we needed a vehicle and it went through them before and we had no other option but to buy this vehicle because it was the only one that would start. Not only did the vehicles we had to choose from not start. There were several on the lot they were trying to move that did not start. It was during cold weather and their mechanic was not even smart enough to know that when it's cold out, you need to go out and and leave it running for a little while every day. She is a moron who should not have a job as a mechanic. Please do not buy a vehicle from Car Mart especially this one you will be saving yourself thousands of dollars in damages repairs and a whole lot of headaches. Most of the vehicles were out of state, so i had 2 shipped to Tulsa. My first experience wasn't great. I initially worked with Tyler, who didn't seem to take me seriously. Because my license listed a different city, he assumed I was taking a 24-hour test drive out of town and denied me the opportunity. It left a bad taste in my mouth and made me hesitant to continue. Still, I had already shipped two cars in, so we decided to try again--and I'm glad we did. This time I worked with Maegan, and she completely turned the experience around. She was kind, professional, and actually treated me like a customer. I wasn't a fan of the automated text responses (those bots got confusing), but Maegan always helped clear things up quickly and made the process feel more personal. She assisted me with test driving the vehicles, navigating the trade-in process, and even using the 10-day return policy. I really liked both cars I shipped in, but ended up going with the Toyota in the end. It arrived later which is why I bought my first and ended up returning the car and getting the later. There were some hiccups with slow computers and what looked like system changes, which could easily frustrate anyone--but Maegan stayed patient and was incredibly helpful through it all. If you go to CarMax Tulsa, I definitely recommend working with Maegan!

I was in need of a car so I could visit my wife who was hospitalized with major health issues. I informed the Qualified Value Auto Sales car sales "professional" of this and together, he and I looked over various cars on the Quality Value car lot. I located one I liked, so he and I took it for a test drive. After we returned to the Quality Value car lot, I asked if he had the title for this particular car. He looked through his desk and was unable to locate the title. He said he would need to speak with his manager and would get back to me. A few days later I received a phone call and was asked to participate in a three way phone call with his manager. I made the call and asked the manager when he thought they would have a marketable title in hand. He said he should have the title within a week from DMV and that the title would have their Qualified Value Auto Sales listed as the owner. I asked to please have your salesman call me as soon as the title arrives. They said they would call me when they had the title. I waited and waited and there was no return phone call. So, one evening I went over to the Quality Value Auto Sales lot, looked around carefully and noticed the car was missing. I then called the next day and asked the salesman about the car. He said they had just sold it to a customer for cash. The hospital required me to be present so they could get my authorization for various procedures they wanted to perform on my wife. Quality Value Auto Sales actions left me in the lurch.

It was in really good shape for the year. It was clearly garage kept, and it was also the exact model and year I had been searching for. 2. I was told by the two salesmen who work there, that the jeep was just recently serviced with all new fluids, new shocks, coils, front a rear diff fluids, etc. 3. It was claimed to be a one owner locally owned vehicle (however there were actually two owners because the owner of the car lot registered it and drove it for 6 months, even though I was told they just got a jeep 2 weeks prior to me coming in) 4. These jeeps have become hard to find, and if you can find one in original form, in good condition, they are worth more than book value states. I did my due diligence and checked the jeep inside and out, and visited the lot more than one time going over the jeep. I discovered the AC did not work, and they claimed it has always worked. I took it for a test drive and everything seemed fine. I asked for a detailed list of all the things completed when it was serviced, and they backtracked and said they couldn't remember what all was done. When I came in to buy it, one salesman said the price was firm and impossible to improve on, however the other salesmen had already told me he would take 500$ off the asking price. They honored the 500$ off. I drive the jeep home and felt very pleased about my decision. Today is March 16th. 4 days have gone by, and 50 miles since I left. I have a huge puddle of coolant in my garage. I have traced it to the water pump. However Thin is 150$ fix and a weekend of my time. So not a deal breaker as it's an old jeep and likely the original water pump. However, the rear end has developed a bad whine. I took it to a local shop and they pulled the diff covers off. They determined the gear oil is completely burned and destroyed, as are the gears in the rear end. So after 4 days it has become unable to drive and the cost for new ring and pinion gears, oil, bearings, etc, is around 1,500$. Obviously this is very upsetting. I reached out to the salesman I worked with. I explained the situation and asked if there was anything they could do. Hoping they would offer the customer service to either have the mechanics that "just serviced" the jeep, repair this. Offer to cover a repair from my mechanic, or at least offer to split something. They did not. They told me all cars are sold as is and told me they could forward me the as is paperwork again if I lost it. They completely ran away from any costumer service once they had my money in their hands. I will not work with these guys again and if you have the ability to buy from another small local dealer here in tulsa I would highly suggest it. I'm reasonable and I understand it's an older jeep and of course it's not perfect. That's where the AC leak and water pump leak fall into. However, when I pay double book value, for a jeep, I kind of expect the to not have to add a few thousand more on top of it to make it drivable. Even if this was preventable, I still expect a dealership that prides themselves on customer service, to step if and offer some sort of help. Not tell me to kick rocks.

The Ferguson Deal - I didn't love it…read more I was shopping for a used 2017 GMC Sierra and had looked far and wide. I came across Ferguson Superstore in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on car gurus, and they had a Denali edition. Perfect. I called and texted Erik Wells, the salesman. I was initially put off when I was told the price was non-negotiable, as everything is negotiable in sales. After looking at other cars with more and fewer miles, the price was right where it needed to be. So no negotiation was required, so I proceeded to the dealership. It was after six, and Erik was off but had stayed late to show me the truck, which was much appreciated. After a test drive, the car was clean, had the certified guarantee, and immaculate. I decided to buy it. Chuck ran me thru the paperwork, and I was out the door. The truck ran great, and I was happy. The next day, I backed out of my parking spot. A 6 point turn, I pulled into the mall. Another 8 points turn to get in. The truck was so big; it was a truck, after all. The more I thought about it. It just wasn't for me. I didn't love it. I remembered that Erik had mentioned the Ferguson Deal. A three-day / 150-mile guarantee that I was happy. I lowered my head and called Erik and chuck and sadly told them I had made a mistake and wasn't in love with the Truck. To my surprise, they said, "come in, let's make it right. " I mentioned two other cars I was interested in, and when I arrived at the Ferguson Superstore, Erik had both cars ready for me upfront and ready to go. I drove the first one I had wanted and fell in love. I took it across the street, did some parallel parking, a few ins, and outs, and decided this was the one. Upon returning to the dealership, I gave it the walk around, confirmed it was the one, and told Erik. Chuck quickly ran me thru all the paperwork once again. And I was in and out on a busy Saturday, within an hour. I'm not a fan of dealerships and prefer not to deal with them, but honestly, after this experience, I will be back and most likely only buy the Ferguson Deal. I can not express how worried I was that I had purchased the wrong track, and thankfully, because of the Ferguson Deal, I'm now a 100% happy customer.
