We were very surprised to find not only a competent auto repair place but an honest mechanic!!We dropped the car off and they had the repairs done before lunch the next day. Turns out the leak from mom's older maxima that started from an oil filter changed months ago that was loose and started with a leak on the floor. They tightened the filter and replaced the drain plug gasket that is supposed to be replaced every oil change. (Thanks Jiffy lube) no charge for the oil leak!! Ever heard of that?! They also changed a couple of routine maintenance items that were 19 years old. We cannot recommend Ian's enough and have told family and friends! We recently bought a used 2004 Honda Accord. I took it to Ian's to get it checked out and serviced. Ian inspected the whole car. We had one minor oil leak that he fixed. Everything else checked out fine according to Ian. He told me that at this point we did not need to do a tune-up or do any fluid changes or flushes. All the fluids, the spark plugs, belt, and filters were fine. Obviously he could have tried to sell me a ton of service on this new used car. He did not. This is what I love about Ian. He can be trusted. This was a major factor in why I bought another Honda for one of my kids. I know that I have someone that I can completely trust to service it. I now own five Honda vehicles. This business is a fraud claimed our civic had a blown engine "engine was trashed" and that the timing belt was intact and wanted 2200 to replace engine. Then charged us a fee to release the vehicle so we could get a second opinion. Also, would not tell us why the engine was "trash" just in a hurry to get quotes to replace the engine. We took it to another mechanic that said the car was not even looked at because the timing belt was broke and the engine was not trash just had some leaky cylinder heads. Beware of this mechanic, very sketchy!! I am turning this business into the BBB. read more

After a local Honda Dealership's Service center tried to convince me I needed a $1600+ repair asap to get my car back on the road.... a friend had told me to try Ian's for a second opinion after the dealers findings sounded somewhat OFF to me. To my pleasant surprise Ian had my car up and running beautifully $200 later. EVEN if I had needed this major repair I still would have had Ian take care of it. He is a wonderfully helpful, very honest person and I will trust him to work on my Odyssey for as long as I have it! read more

What can I say. He's not a specialist at all! First of all, he doesn't do any work himself. He has a kid in his mid twenties named Jake that does all the work. Had an oil leak in my Honda Accord. Both Ian and Jake were in denial that the car was leaking oil. So I told them to put it up on jacks and they did. Guess what happened? The oil dripped straight in his eyes!! The leak was that obvious!! I said, "Do I need to say anymore"? Very poor diagnosis. Then he said it's the Rear Main Seal! A big job that requires the transmission to be dropped and Ian said it will cost me $700. So I took the car to another mechanic who is not a Honda specialist. And Guess what! It was a simple Engine gasket that did cost me $200 total. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's a big fraud. He might be OK with small jobs like oil change, brakes, spark plugs, headlights, etc... but don't let him do any major maintenance to your car. He will screw it up for sure. Trust me. read more
