I had the regular cheese burger and chili cheese fries. Neither one of use were wowed by any of it. The prices seemed well enough but once we dug in we knew why the prices seemed good until we started eating. The burgers were on the small side and the flavor was nothing special. I love chili cheese fries but I was disappointed with the chili. I'm guessing it was canned Hormel. The fries were good and hot but the chili was on the cold side. I ended up having heartburn. My son and I were both disappointed. We agreed it wasn't good enough to try again. Should have taken a pic sorry

The first thing that increased my appetite was the aroma. Our waitress, Rachel, was very friendly and advised us that the cook made outstanding pasta dishes. I ordered a veal dish that was outstanding-fresh vegetables, quality veal and my son's pasta with sausage was great. We had the daily soups with our meals-chicken noodle and stuffed pepper both were outstanding-fresh vegetables, chicken, and the stuffed pepper soup tasted like a stuffed pepper. Outstanding service by Rachel, outstanding homemade food with fresh vegetables and quality meats. We ordered two entrees for home the broasted chicken and veal franchise (excellent)\. Finally, the prices of all meals are reasonable. We will be going again!!!!!!!! I highly recommend--give this place a visit.

I ordered the Fifties Diner Special, which came with 2 eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, rye toast, and two pancakes. Everything was excellent. The home fries arrived hot, the eggs were cooked perfectly over easy, the bacon was crisp, and the sausages were large and flavorful. The rye toast was already buttered, which was a nice touch. The pancakes were especially impressive--fluffy, moist, and served with four soft butter pats and plenty of syrup. The coffee was served in the classic old-fashioned white restaurant mugs, which added to the diner's nostalgic charm. My wife ordered the meat omelet, and it did not disappoint. It was huge, packed with meat, hot, cheesy, and cooked perfectly. The food, service, and overall experience were outstanding. After many years of visiting, this was easily our favorite meal at the Fifties Diner.

I ordered chicken tenders and fries... paper thin tenders over cooked. The fries were good. My fiancé ordered a Ruben. The meat was grilled before going on the sandwich and was extremely rubbery and lacked all flavor. What worse was the service.. waited 15 plus minutes to order our drinks and our food. It all came out at the same time.. drinks, appetizer and dinner. Our waitress never checked back for refills or even to see how food was. She was talking on her phone instead of helping her customers. Overall I'd say McDonald's across the street will give you better for and service.

Crystal Springs brings a consistency of food quality, time, and care that has kept the restaurant in good hands in the last decades. Walk in and walk beside the bar, noting the diner is cash only, and into the two booth sections near the back so that your waitstaff can have easy access to take your order. The diner, near the back, updates specials and has a few consistent winners that keep recurring. The wall opposite your entry has a wall with a blown up photographed depiction of the town of Ware from the air many decades ago. One of the pluses of this all-day breakfast diner is that they also are a dairy bar, serving ice cream and milkshakes specifically. Expect Crystal Springs to be busy with locals and other out of town travelers at the corner of the plaza strip they're located at. They're near a busy entrance and exit way, and there's parking near enough to that ingress to be mindful of. Thank you for many meals, Crystal Springs, and I hope I find great photos I took of your diner one day to fit a review for a staff as reliable at 5am as you'd want in a diner.

This little resto is a hidden gem that packs a lot of surprises. Who would have guessed that a man…read morefrom Egypt would have chosen Ware MA to set up a kitchen/business. But Yasser has and we are so grateful that he did. His cultural take and techniques when applied to some of the American diner classics makes one sit up and take notice. I think we can all agree the fried fish sandwich and fish and Chips is a New England classic. Imo, Yasser's fishfry technique and eerily light coating is truly something special; you will be hard pressed to find a better fried product anywhere. I'm not gonna tell you much, other than give this place a try and discover for yourself what hidden treasures this little restaurant holds.

The meal I received (Eggs Benedict Florentine, a regular menu item) was not what I ordered (Tara's Benedict, on the specials menu), but by then I was so hungry that I just ate it. It was good. However, after a runner delivered our food, our waitress never checked in with us, or even made eye contact with us, until we were done eating. When she finally came, I told her (politely) that I had ordered Tara's Benedict but had received Florentine. She seemed to not know what to do with this information - but she did want me to know that she correctly submitted my order. Okay, I said, I just wanted to let you know that there was a miscommunication somewhere. She brought us our bill promptly (the incorrect meal was not taken off the bill), but then there was more waiting for her to come back and take our credit card. Finally my dining companion went up to the register to pay the bill. While there, they tried to explain to him what happened - apparently the chef had a different specials list than the specials menu that was given to customers. This does not really explain the mix-up. Plus, it was 11am on a Saturday - near the end of the breakfast period. How did they not realize sooner that the chef and the wait staff had different specials menus? This establishment is a little off the beaten path; you have to make it a destination - something I will not be doing again.
