Food is great, and the service is even better! The staff is very sweet for singing for my birthday boy! Thank you

Lori D.

Our server was very nice. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. While my daughter's milkshake might look decadent, it was not anything close to a milk shake. It tastes more like chocolate milk made with water. The hamburger and fries she ordered is actually from the adult menu. My clam chowder had a strange grey appearance and tasted like it was heated from can in the microwave. I am glad we had a living social deal for this place as $11.25 was too much for the mediocre food that was served. Such a shame, cause Friendly's was the place to go as a kid.

Service in this place has gone downhill. People that were seated after us got served much earlier than we have.

THIS PLACE SLAPS…read more Breakfast and dinner are 5/5. Such great food, great service, and an absolutely beautiful hybrid patio area. The drinks are incredible as well while being fairly priced. I did not think this place would be so good but it's found its way up on my top 5 list in southern NJ. Tastefully thought out menu that does everything so well, and it's not even that expensive!

I have been coming here since they first opened, and it has always been one of my favorite spots. Over the years, the food has consistently been great and I've always had good experiences with the service, which makes yesterday especially disappointing. From the beginning, it seemed like our server had far too many tables and was overwhelmed with the workload. We initially ordered our appetizers, and when she brought them out, we told her we were ready to put in our entrées. She said okay, but then did not return to our table for another 20 minutes to actually take our order. We were left sitting there waiting despite already telling her we were ready to order. I completely understand that restaurants get busy and that servers can be stretched thin. However, the lack of attention to our table made the entire experience frustrating, especially at a restaurant where I've had such consistently good service in the past. Unfortunately, the food was also not up to the quality I've come to expect from Cinder Bar. To make matters worse, after eating there, I became extremely sick with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. I normally wouldn't let one bad experience erase years of positive ones, but between the extremely slow service, disappointing food, and becoming sick afterward, this experience was bad enough that I no longer feel comfortable returning. It's genuinely disappointing because Cinder Bar has been one of my favorite restaurants since they opened, and I have recommended it to others many times. I really hope management looks into both the staffing situation and what may have happened with the food that day, because yesterday's experience was completely different from the Cinder Bar I've known and enjoyed for years.

My wife and I split Philly Cheeseburger Sliders, a side Caesar Salad, and chicken tenders. The tenders were so hot and crispy. Awesome. And, our server Mia was the best! Fast and attentive. A+++! 10/10! No notes

It was always a great spot to grab a quick bite that was still really tasty. The food hits the mark, especially when you're coming off a long day of classes and just want something satisfying without a long wait. Another thing I appreciated is that while it's definitely casual food, it didn't feel like I was completely wrecking my nutrition every time I ate there. You can find options that are filling without being overly heavy, which made it an easy go-to during the week. Overall, it's just a reliable, convenient place with good food and a laid-back atmosphere. Perfect for students or anyone looking for a quick, solid meal.

They have a bar and dj which seemed to draw in a nice mixed crowd. They made me a mocktail because I don't drink and it was yummy. The chicken parm was also good. The bad: both appetizers I ordered were disgustingly underwhelming. The cheesesteak fries were just bland and flavorless piled high with dry meat and cold cheese ... a waste of calories and money. The chicken tenders were flavored horribly and paired with a weird sauce. Im guessing if you're drunk you won't notice the terrible food. The waiter was nice but not attentive, he didn't notice I didn't eat anything and he didn't offer to replace or remove the items from the bill. I would suggest they limit the menu to less items that they can prepare well. If you enjoy drinks and bar food give it a try. Me Ill just stick with Lascalas across the street.

They always seem to have live music, karaoke etc. which is nice, but it's also probably too loud for a lot of people. There's pretty limited seating that is away from the loud music. Now there's a pool table in the backroom. Seems like they're trying to make some adjustments. Hopefully they know what they're doing with that. Seems like they're trying to adjust after a somewhat slow start. I'd come back, but there have been some hiccups so far.

They offered sushi, pasta, sandwiches, flatbreads, seafood dishes, and more. I wasn't sure what kind of fusion concept they were going for. I usually like to order what a restaurant is known for or specializes in, but since that wasn't clear, I decided to go with a burger since that's usually hard to mess up. Unfortunately, my burger arrived cold, dry, and bland. It tasted like it had been sitting for quite a while before being served. The fries were hot and fresh, so I ate those and took the burger home to see if I could salvage it. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean, and it wasn't very crowded when we visited. However, the food quality left a lot to be desired, and I don't plan on returning.

When he saw my wife and I come in with kids in tow, he immediately entertained them while we had a chance to scope out the menu. As we ordered, he offered helpful tweaks - that seems like too much, if you have picky eaters we can do a grilled cheese, etc. He suggested the best sides and even ran to get the drinks filled at the fountain from the other side of the restaurant. 10/10 service that would have me back even if they served garbage. Fortunately, the food matched the service. My only complaint was that my burger was so juicy it squirted onto my shirt when I took a bite. That said, I'd sacrifice a shirt every time I can here if it meant I'd be treated to a perfectly juicy, expertly cooked patty. The sides were great too, led by the truffle fries. They had the perfect amount of Parmesan, finely grated so you didn't feel like you were just eating chunks of cheese, and the truffle oil was delicious. We also tried the Mac and cheese bites, which were tasty but a bit small if you want to split with more than two. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll find an excuse to get here and have another burger.
