it is always an issue every time I come here. It does not matter if I order inside at the counter, place an order on the app or call in to place my order something is ALWAYS wrong. Tonight, my husband and I ordered a kids meal and 2 peanut butter cup Friend-z's. The girl taking the order had no idea what came with the kids meal and was trying to charge me separately for everything. I did not get the drink I ordered, the sauces I ordered for the sundae that came with the kids meal were wrong, and the Friend-Z's were missing the reese's cups....the fries were undercooked and did not have any salt or pepper on them (they usually do). I tend not to come here because something is wrong 100% of the time yet for some reason I keep giving them more chances. Just go to a different location. read more

Family oriented restaurant. Our server Emma has patience of a saint and was the sweetest. We had a few little ones with us and she was amazing the whole time. This Friendly's has been around since I was an elementary school student ordering a clown head sundae, joining the droves in celebration of a school concert or other big event. That's not quite 1935, when the original Massachusetts location opened by the Blake brothers and sold 5 cent cones!Friendly's remains the traditional, in town, go-to. My family loves the ice cream, its original taste and the experience of nostalgia when you enter. Their customer service even reminds you of the way it once was. They uphold that tradition very well as we recently had a server who was so polite and friendly that he made us feel like we were at a five star restaurant. I commend him because that's amazing when you consider the group of football kids that accompanied us.The atmosphere is simple, depicting nostalgic Friendly's history. I love that they still have the unique tables with lift out dividers depending on your group size. It's a restaurant designed for bringing the kids. Expect basic grill food with the exception of a few menu items like fish and salads. The fries are always great! In a nutshell shell, the food is fried, simple, and reasonable. They do stick (no pun intended) to their name, they are fast and friendly. The circular coupons you find in the mail do help if you need to save a few dollars. Locals can look forward to a little more space inside the family restaurant as Glassboro's location is due to change in 2025 under a redevelopment plan which two years later will result in a coffee shop (Starbucks is on the table), a daycare, and an expanded Friendly's. While so much has changed over the years, I am happy to take my kids to one place around that still feels the same! read more

Our server was very nice. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. While my daughter's milkshake might look decadent, it was not anything close to a milk shake. It tastes more like chocolate milk made with water. The hamburger and fries she ordered is actually from the adult menu. My clam chowder had a strange grey appearance and tasted like it was heated from can in the microwave. As much as I love this location, I just can't give it five stars. I would say about 90% of the time the food is hot and made to order, but the other 10% I'll get cold fries. I've only ever had one server who was extremely slow, everyone else has been on top of refills and bringing the food almost right away. *EMPLOYEES TRIED TO STEAL FROM ME* Went here for breakfast. I stupidly left my wristlet on the table. When we went back and talked to management, the manager was very very rude and unhelpful, stating that she had no access to surveillance and she wouldn't be able to help until noon the following day. I called back a few hours later to make sure nothing came up and the same manager told me she called the other manager that was on during the AM shift and that nobody handed it in. I then filed a police report and the police officer went in and spoke with management. Before the police officer even pulled out of the parking lot, the manager called me and said it conveniently came up. We left and had bug bites on our ankles and were itching, immediately stripped down and put our clothes in the wash when we got home. I got the crispy chicken wrap and it was just as I expected it to be. Despite changing appearance through the years, the menu and staff remain fairly standard... It's not a place people choose to work because of career advancement but rather as a stepping stone. The kiddo was pleased with his ice cream and you can't go wrong with the Reese Pieces sundae. If I had the ability to leave zero stars, I would. Last night, my friend and I got in line at the ice cream counter. There was one family and another guy ahead of us. But they must have placed their orders before we arrived, because once those folks got their orders, not another order was taken for the additional 30 minutes we waited. That's right! We were at the head of a growing line and not a single employee (and there were many) acknowledged our or anyone else's presence. There were at least 3 guys working the ice cream station, and what I assume was the shift manager (Layla), all of whom were blatantly ignoring the line of customers. Not a single acknowledgment, not a 'we will be with you shortly,' nothing. In the mean time I watched as Layla demeaned other employees, cursed and generally treated everyone around her poorly. The design of the ice cream counter gives you way more insight to the poor management and lack of team work that exists at this location. We stood at the counter in hopes of getting one person's attention and even then none of the employees addressed us. After a 45 minute wait, with not a single remark or explanation from the staff, we left. 45 minutes! By the time we left, there were 8-9 people waiting in line, some of whom had been there as long as we had. I have never come across more unpleasant, unprofessional, unwelcoming staff in my entire life. Ever. With a name like Friendly's, I expect so much more. read more

I am literally at this place every week since it's right down the road from me, but after last nite I think that'll change. Don't get me wrong I like their food but last nite kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I got food n my boyfriend got the new salty caramel sundae. He said it was very salty n melted like a milk shake. When the waiter came back he said it was melted the waiter then said I'm sorry and walked away. He then came back n said I'm sorry our freezer was out of service for an hour so most of the ice cream is melted. Wow y didn't u tell us that before we ordered it. Then our bill came n he still charged us $5 for the melted ice cream we asked for 50% off it since no one told us about the freezer he said I can't do that.
