New windows - The image shows a two-story house with gray vinyl siding and white trim. The house has four large windows, two on each floor, with black shutters. The front door is glass with a black frame, accompanied by a glass storm door. A small landscaped area with green shrubs, flowering plants, and a brick border is in front of the house, with concrete steps leading to the entrance. The scene is set in a suburban neighborhood with trees visible in the background.

Overall, I am happy with the service because we got new windows that work great--they open and close very smoothly, they are energy efficient, and are already keeping the house temp more stable. Waaaaayyyy better than what we had. The quote process was very helpful--Joe was very attentive to my emails/texts, replied almost immediately, and was pleasant to work with. I was surprised how cute the egress window looks. Pic here just to show it off. They were also able to finish all the work in one very long day. They arrived a bit late around 9:40am and left just after 8pm. I was happy that they were able to complete all the work in one day as I was expecting two days of work. They definitely worked very hard, and I appreciate it. But as you'll read below, I think they were rushed to just get the job done and leave. I cannot give 5 stars though because I felt very uneasy about the mess that was left. -There was debris left on our porch (see pic) which I just find unacceptable, especially in my home with a 2 year old. -I also noticed black smudging on some windows and perhaps the same black material actually coming out of one of the windows (see pics). I was hoping for super clean windows upon installation but I see that it's really just about installing--I'll need to clean them myself. -Small debris was found in other areas too like in my garden beds (I suppose how are they supposed to clean that up unless they laid down a blanket beforehand) and in the creases of our front door. -They also did not tell us we would need to remove a curtain hook we have on the side of our windows and I realized afterwards that they took it off themselves because they stripped the screw and put it back in backwards. -I've noticed that the caulking is not consistent throughout. Some windows have caulking in every corner, some are missing a corner or two. No idea if there would be a reason for the differences but I would have thought they'd be fully caulked. I appreciate the hard work and am happy with the windows. Just wasn't exactly the experience I was really expecting.

New porch windows and new front door - The image shows a house with a dark gray textured exterior wall, white window trim, and a black front door. There are six windows visible, with three on the upper level and three on the lower level, along with a small porch light above the door. Concrete steps with black metal railings lead up to the entrance, and there are small landscaped bushes and grass in the front yard.

We had a great experience with Friendly Windows. We had 23 windows replaced, along with a new front door. Joe was very personable, knowledgeable and communicative during the estimate process. When it was time for installation, Patrick and David were also very communicative and easy to work with. We're about one week into living with our new windows and new door, and so far so good. The windows all look great and we're noticing a difference with regards to insulation (it's Jan in Chicago). Overall would recommend!

The patio door. - The image shows a sliding glass door with a white frame, partially obscured by gray curtains on the right side. Through the glass, a room with wooden parquet flooring and furniture, including a table and chairs, is visible. The room appears to be part of a residential interior, with a door or window with wooden shutters in the background.

The patio door for the balcony in my condo was leaking in lots of air and needed to be replaced. It was the original one to the unit and was big and heavy and I'm on the third level. The staff from Friendly Windows helped me select the appropriate size replacement and aided me in the process of getting approval by my HOA for it to be replaced. When the door was made, they arranged installation within a couple of days after they received it and had it installed in a matter of a few hours. Their whole crew was very respectful of my place and let me know what they were doing each step of the way during the installation. I would recommend them for any household door and window projects.

The image depicts three tall, narrow windows with white frames installed in a beige interior wall. Each window has stickers on the glass, indicating they are new or awaiting installation. The windows reveal an outdoor scene with trees and a blue sky. A black object, possibly a screen or frame, leans against the wall near the right side of the image. The room has a wooden floor and a floor vent near the base of the wall.

Had a great experience working with David and Patrick at Friendly Windows. They're not your average sales guys who are extremely pushy. They come in, evaluate what you need, listen to your concerns and come up with fair and honest proposals. I live in an HOA so the exterior has to be identical to what we currently have in terms of window design and David went above and beyond to ensure the collection of windows he was offering me matched exactly that. He provided many samples/examples of the type of window I would be getting so I could submit it to the HOA for approvals. Installation of the windows was fantastic. The guys prepped the area with drop clothes to ensure they didn't make a mess and spent two days installing my windows. Once they finished installing, they caulked and painted the interior trim and the windows came out better than I could have expected. David ensured I was completely satisfied before he left and said if I have any issues to just let him know. Thankfully I have not had any issues and we are finally enjoying our brand new windows. Thanks again!

Tony was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The pricing was comparable to another estimate we received, but we are confident that these windows are better quality and will last longer. They included a fix for a hole in our siding without trying to upsell us for all new siding. We ordered in October and the manufacturer had our windows ready for installation in December. The crew that came out were so friendly and very respectful of our home. Scheduling the installation, painting, cleanup, and finishing touches was a breeze. The winter weather did make it difficult for the crew to clean up nails and debris on the outside, but they did come back when it was warmer to clean up. We look forward to hiring them for other services, possibly roof and siding.

It was a mess. I carefully researched companies that did exterior work. I ultimately chose Olson on the basis of their reputation of doing high-quality work. Shortly thereafter I met with the project manager (Joe H) and he was helped me get the colors and materials picked and ordered and the project was underway. When the install day arrived, I was introduced two a 2-man work crew that would be handling the bulk of the work. In the course slightly more than a week, they totally rebuilt the full exterior of my home. The results are amazing and the home feels new again! Two things really stood out to me and my experience with Olson. 1). The work ethic of that two-man crew. They worked as hard as anyone I have ever seen. Except for lunch, work was non-stop from sunrise to sunset. This was hard and grueling work, especially the demolition of the old siding and stone fascia. They showed up every day like clockwork, and cleaned up after each day. 2). The quality of work they demonstrated. They absolutely knew what they were doing, and they were very good at it. Everything was installed true, level, without gaps, etc. Caulk lines were perfect etc. Everywhere they worked you could see the pride in what they do, and it was very clear there were no shortcuts taken. These two gentlemen were expert craftsman and I can gratefully say my house now reflects that. It turned out more beautiful than I'd ever imagined. I have never nor will ever receive any compensation for this review. My sole motivation for writing is to share the positive experience I had with Olson. Finding a trustworthy company for a project of this size and investment is daunting. Olson, especially their work crew, deserves recognition for a job well done. I can recommend them without hesitation for their quality work and attention to detail. They should be proud of their accomplishments, and I am proud of it too.

We had two condo units in our building update windows as well as two back hallway windows, and Jacob provided a highly competitive quote. He was kind and patient when we waited for other unit owners in the building to decide, and did not push us to move quicker or make a decision when we were not yet ready. Ordering windows took a few weeks and teams on install day moved swiftly and kept the area clean after! I also want to note that we live on the 3rd floor of a condo building and many contractors said they could not install and/or needed additional materials, external infrastructure and costs to do the project, but Jacob made it seamless with bringing windows up the stairs, and doing an internal install, which incurred no extra install costs. This was also great as it did not impact our neighbors and kept the project contained and clean. Jacob really cares about being transparent and has earned our trust, and I would 100% recommend him and his team to anyone looking to install new windows in their home. Overall, we really highly recommend Jacobs 1 Construction! I cannot say enough great things about the quality of their work, competitive pricing, and their dedication to their customers.

We learned that the old windows were not even windows by today's standards, they were just huge panes of glass that gave no insulation. He measured the windows so quickly (like 2 minutes) that I wondered if the windows world 3 actually fit (they did!). The price was extremely reasonable; we had intended to get three estimates but my mom and I both lined Kris so much we decided to go with him right away. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say.
