Half of the trucks were open, but there were still a lot of customers enjoying the space. We decided to try Benzo Box, and the owner was hustling in the truck by herself. We ordered the Pork Belly plate that comes with two scoops of rice, a pickled salad and a generous portion of grilled pork belly. The pork belly was so delicious. It was beautifully grilled, tender and basted with a sweet sauce. The pickled salad provides nice acid that helped to cut through the fattiness of the pork belly and provided nice balance. The truck was running a little behind on orders since they were so busy before we arrived, so we ordered some Gyoza while our Pork belly was grilling. They were beautifully crisp and we loved the dipping sauces. It was sweet, tangy and had a nice kiss of heat. She also threw in a Lumpia so we could try, which I have to say was delicious! While at Benzo Box we didnt just get a great meal, we also had a great time talking with the owner while she prepared our lunch. She was very warm and personable. We can't wait to come back!
