Heck, maybe you can arrive in style, being rowed in on a boat! For the budget bride who likes something a little different, this place is a find. You can submit a rental inquiry online now (thank goodness), and it includes a set price for the whole/half day, a dining/function hall 1400sq foot, hardwood floors, air conditionining, a fully equipped kitchen (for your caterer of choice), tables and seating (so you don't have to pay more for rental). I confess, I never got to visit this place since I ended up finding my wedding site at First Parish Church United in Westford, MA, but I obsessed about this place for a long time. The outdoor wedding, the wedding pictures on a lighted deck...you should definitely consider this place if you're very strict on budget (at the time it was $500 for the whole day) but still want to have a beautiful wedding for 100 people or less.

Don't even bother. I…read moreread Ross's review so I knew I was going to be dealing with slow communication and I was okay with that: I'm planning a wedding for 2018 or 2019 (1-2 years from now). No biggie. Replies were slow, and the person I was in contact with wasn't very open. I first contacted (I'll call him "Kal") at the end of March. He said he could only show the place on Sundays. My fiance works Sundays and can not get that day off... but after a few e-mails we decided that Sunday at 1 would be fine. We now needed to pick a Sunday. We picked one, which turned out to be Easter day (we could make it but Kal couldn't: totally understandable) but we kept going back and forth saying "that Sunday won't work for me" or "I can't do that Sunday", etc... Fine. I get it. People can be busy and we have a lot of time to plan this thing out: no hurry, no worries. Then one day I get an e-mail from Kal: "Unfortunately I am not available any of the dates that you have listed. we have reached our quota of rentals for this year, so rentals are closed for 2017. As a result I am not scheduling special appointments to show the lodge. I know you are looking for next year. We will not be reserving any dates or booking events for next year until January of 2018." Now, I don't know about you guys, but to me, that means "screw you, we already have made enough money with booking so we're not going to put in the effort to even show you the place." My fiance and I just wanted to see the place: that's all. Not have any booking or anything, just SEE IT. I sent an e-mail back (on April 11th) explaining that to Kal, but now it's May 6th and still no reply from Kal. As far as I know, this place just wants your money and that's it. My advise to anyone thinking about going to this place is... just don't bother. It was a waste of my time and it might be a waste of yours. (I am going to link Kal this review: maybe their customer service will be better from here on out) Good luck.

It just felt more intimate and thoughtful. You can either rent just the downstairs area (up to 35 people I think), or you can rent out the entire house (up to 75 people). We rented out the whole house: the downstairs which had a living room area, dining area, full kitchen, and bathroom. And upstairs, which was a big open room that we used for the main hosting. There is also an elevator lift accessible. One of the nicer things about this place is that there is an additional staircase going from the kitchen right up to the main room upstairs (butler's staircase), so it was super easy to bring food up that way without getting into anyone's way. We set up the food tables right along the wall to that entrance. The building is old and charming with furniture pieces and lighting to match the age of the house. It's very well kept and cared for. We had about 45 guests and just about everyone commented on how nice the place was! I think my family will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future events. The woman who was in charge was so nice and kept in contact with us very well via email throughout our booking time with any questions we had. I absolutely recommend Acton Woman's Club for any parties or events you may have!

It was very impressive how many people commented, as they arrived, on how wonderful the setting was -- "How did you find this place?" We had a great night and much of the mood was provided by the ambiance of the AWC. Wholeheartedly recommend choosing this location for gatherings!

Last night I had the steakhouse burger (partner had the same) with sweet potato fries and a glass of their house red. All very good, I would gladly come back for these items. My partner was also happy with his meals both times. The service was wonderful! It was a crowded Friday night, and the bar was full, but we were able to order our wine right away thanks to the attentive bartenders. Our table came up sooner than estimated, and our waiter was attentive and friendly. Our food came out quickly. We'll be back!

There is also a cool vibe like an upscale sports bar. Unfortunately, the food in Littleton was terrible and the service a bit unfriendly. My favorite salmon bowl had overcooked dry salmon, barely any avocado (like only a few tiny cubes) and the sauce was just dumped on it. It was marginally edible. The usually friendly service was not. I tried to get the attention of one waitress from the adjacent table to all ask a simple question. She walked by me twice without stopping. And, on the third time, she told me "I can't help you I'm not your server." The restaurant management needs to come here and up the game.

If you're considering an event here, book it now and you won't be disappointed. First off, the property is stunning. The house has beautiful rooms to get ready in with great light; the facade of the house makes for beautiful photos; the barn is iconic and warm; the gardens were stunning in full bloom; there are fences and paths through the woods galore. We had our ceremony at the top of a hill overlooking a scenic New England field and pond. The reception was in a beautiful field under a big tree for shade. And for those worried about unsteady grandparents, there were easy ways to help them get around. Everything was beautiful, a real classic New England farm. Then, the decorations! Every small detail was perfect. All of the flowers were fresh from Wendy's garden and the arrangements were PERFECT. The signage and table settings were gorgeous and involved freshly stripped bark with calligraphied names of all of our guests. There were blankets on the back of all of the chairs for when it got chillier at night! Seriously, Wendy thought of everything. And last, but certainly not least, Wendy! You couldn't ask for a better planner, friend, and kind soul. She has been a wedding planner for decades and now she and her husband run the Phineas Wright House. I didn't stress once on the day of the wedding because I knew Wendy had it all under control. From the moment my husband and I started planning the wedding, she was alongside us supporting and cheering us on. I would often say "I'm so grateful for Wendy!" We had started our wedding planning with Wendy when we were going to have a 100 person wedding elsewhere, and by the end we had a 12 person, socially distanced wedding at her home, and honestly it was absolutely perfect. I still dream of the Phineas Wright House and our magical wedding day. I wish you the same joy!

I actually really enjoyed this little area, there was a great shopping center that was just across the way with lots of options. I went and worked down there on my laptop one of the days in a comfy couch that had its own little tv to watch something too.
