We came to Frickers because a friend of ours said the wings were the best. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a big fan of wings. With that said, the wings were large, breaded wings. But there was no sauce on them! I'm not sure if it's because we got medium and garlic wings, but they were absolutely dry. And if you ask for sauce, they charge you for it. I guess I'm used to wing places that have sauce all over the wings regardless of what flavor they are. So I was a bit disappointed that our wings seemed to have very little flavor since there was no sauce. As for the place itself, it wouldn't be the first place I would go to to watch a game. We were in the room farthest from the door and where I was sitting, there wasn't a good view of the TVs. There was one to the left of me but since it was directly to my left, it hurt my heck to turn to watch it. Behind me where were some smaller tvs but it was uncomfortable to sit completely turned. And the TV in front of me was all the way on the farthest wall from me and it was so tiny and blocked by tables, I couldn't even watch it. If you're going there to watch an event, make sure you get there early enough to get a good seat by the tv because the tvs aren't that big and depending on where you are, you probably won't be able to see it. Will not be back! The only difference between the food we had today and the school's cafeteria was the Buffalo sauce. Wilted lettuce, overcooked and stringy chicken on a stale bun with soggy fries. The inside of just about every Fricker's I've been in is a gaudy mix of light wood and beer signs. The smell of grease and vinegary wing sauce wafts through the air. Breath in too deep and you might have a heart attack. Do you want to go to a place after just rolling out of bed? Go to Fricker"s because no one will care. Do you want to get good wings and drink light beer? Go to Fricker's because that's what they are known for. Do you want to freak out a high-maintenance, mostly-vegetarian, prissy, cosmo-drinking chick, who "doesn't like meat on the bone" with a mountain of greasy carcass you've sawed down to nothing? DEFINITELY go to Fricker's! Sure you could try their steak, or shrimp, or whatever else they serve. But, really? You'd get a steak from a place known for wings? The server girls are normally polite, but sometimes drowning in their work when the place gets super crowded on the weekends. The sauces for the wings are good. I've had everything up to their signature Little Kicker blend. I've told myself that I will try their hottest wing sauce called Killer some day, but I like my colon where it is, thank you very much. Another favorite of mine is the Frickin' Chicken Sandwich. A breast of chicken with the wing sauce on it is sometimes just what one needs when they want to have all of the wing sauce goodness, but none of the mess. Go to Fricker's. I had a Fricken Chicken salad with Garlic Pamesan Chunks. The chunks were good but the lettuce was old. I guess that is not the thing to order at this Fricker's. I should have sent it back but I don't do that unless it's horrible. Sometimes I will mention it after the fact to a manager. I didn't say anything so I can't complain about it here too much. We also had 10 BBQ Wings, drums only. they were great. Meaty with a good tasting sauce. Fries were ok but nothing special. Service was good. I would return but watch out for that lettuce. Everything was 4 star but the 2 star lettuce makes this a 3 star experience. read more

I used to be a big fan of Fricker's but I most likely won't be returning after last night. I almost always enjoy the chicken chunks as my meal and it appears that they have changed for the worse. I could tell at first glance they looked square and different. When I first asked if they had been changed they said no, then the story changed to they changed MONTHS ago. A new vendor. Wow, what a disappointing trip to frickers. After arriving with my wife and two children, we placed an appetizer and drink order. My wife ordered a tall beer and a water. We received the apps right away, my wife got a short beer with no water. Approximately 30 mins after that. The waitress unapologetically returns and asks what we ordered because our food was lost. After another 15 mins or so our food finally came, again no apologies. The waitress also made herself scarce after the food incident, so we were left with empty drinks. After all was said and done my wife asked if they take anything off the bill since we had waited so long for our food. The manager then came over with 10 frickers bucks with the same passive agressive nonchalant attitude. Laughable performance. Time to restaff. read more

Horrible! Used to eat here a few years ago and enjoyed, have gone back twice this summer (both times with friends). The menu items are the same as you can buy at the grocery store and do yourself at home...even the menu says the chicken is Tyson frozen chunks, corn dogs are Eckrich, etc. Except, they do something that makes them taste WORSE than you would do at home. The hub's cheeseburger was the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger and he said Mickey D's tasted better. It was 94 outside the last day I was there, and it was almost as hot inside. The waitress said they "don't turn the air on much because the elderly people say it is too cold". I didn't realize Frickers was the place to be for the geriatric set. read more

Awful service! Waited at the bar forever for drinks then, received nothing. The bartender was cognizant enough to notice when (I being 27 years old, with my parents, coming from hospice, without my id (since I was in a hurry to attend my grandfathers passing), took a sip of beer.) but waited till another server took our food order, to lecture the girl actually taking our order, how the manager was going to be upset.... Great staff. We love the chunks. Excellent beer specials. They have improved on their TV's and the sports scene is better. If I ask for a game, they find a way to put it on a tv that is viewable for me. Always accommodating. The managers really care at the Sylvania location, and the waitstaff is AWESOME! EVERY one of them. Their timing is impeccable. We special order every time and the cooks get it right every time. Stick with the chicken; they also have very large salads. In December, you can purchase $25 gift cards and you get a free $5 card, all for use beginning in January. Good deal for a frequent flyer. read more

The best chicken wings in Toledo. They have a great atmosphere, and they show all the UFC fights. Nice patio for smokers as well. Amazing blue cheese dressing. Great bar food and a great atmosphere for the sports fan. Only downside is the price of soda ($2.29, but free refills). Large chicken wings with great sauces as well as great chicken chunks. The resterant was clean. However they do need to wipe their menus. They are always sticky!! Minor detail. The waitress was very friendly, the service is slow, however the food is good. We always get naked wings. Their choice of sauces are a little spicy for me. The long Island Icetea was very good. Overall a very good experience. This weekend we are in town and my boys and I decided to stop by...sadly we are very disappointed in the quality of the chicken. It's grainy, rubbery and dry. Not the most amazing wings ever, but...decent. I'd eat them again. I did the wings and ribs combo(I'm from Kansas city mind you) and I'm shocked how good the ribs were. I didnt care for the bbq...but the ribs were perfectly tender and fell off the bone. Had angry orchard on tap, it pairs great with their medium sauce. Waffle fries were cool in the middle and bland. Wait staff was good, we sat outside(kinda wish they had outside non smoking for couples w kids) very fast service but food takes a minute.
