My groom and his groomsmen got their tuxes here. The employees are really friendly and were very helpful. They gave us a quicky tux 101 lesson, so we could make the appropriate choice on what the guys were going to wear. They have a lot of choices in styles, colors, and designs. Everything was decently priced. The groom's tux rental was free with the rental of the 5 grooomsmens' tuxes. The guys got their tuxes and shoes for about $100. The tuxes had to be back in 4 days but since we were having a destination wedding, we wouldn't be able to bring them back until the 5th day, which would've costed an additional $20. The sales guy was just like okay, I won't charge you and we weren't even complaing. Cool! Anyway, the tuxes looked great, not cheesy, rental-looking at all. Everything fit the guys really well too. So far this place has been awesome! We decided to make a very last minute change to our entire groomsmen party and they were perfect in getting everything together. I got a call to confirm everything and was able to view all the fittings on their website. THEN a week before the wedding we had another change and they didn't even blink an eye. I'm not one to write bad reviews but this place is terribly understaffed, especially on the weekends. I had mistakenly chosen a tie of the wrong shade of yellow and picked up the tux the day before prom. Prom day, I decided to go there to change it and I waited 20 mins before leaving without a change. Granted, the two employees were working with orders, but they chitchatted along w/ no regard to even the people behind me who just wanted to pick up their tuxes. The people being served were people fitting on tuxes and ordering, which simply takes forever! Had I not left, I would've most likely waited much longer. There is no concrete line for people picking up orders to wait in. The system isn't so flawed when getting fitted and has a signup sheet to keep order (thus the 2 stars) but for simple inquiries, make sure to keep track of time. read more

When we opted not to have a bridal party for our wedding, my groom & I thought getting his tux would be easy. Turns out we were wrong. The associate "helping" the groom with his tux was less than helpful. The groom asked questions about the fit (the pants were very saggy & didn't look like the right size) and the associate told him it looked fine. Another associate saw the fit and immediately suggested he try a different cut & size which fit great. It was bothersome that the first girl was just going to let him walk out with these ill-fitting pants. But the problem was solved I guess. While at Friar Tux, we bought an ivory tie to go with the ivory shirt we requested with the tux. There was no ivory shirt to try on, but we were assured the tie & shirt would go together. On wedding day, the groom discovered the "ivory" shirt he was sent did not at all go with the tie, it looked like a cheap white shirt. (Upon speaking with Friar Tux staff they said their Ivory shirt is "subtle." Well it doesn't go with the tie they sell which is sort of a problem.) Luckily, the groom was able to purchase a tie locally, hours before the wedding. Even more lucky was the fact that nobody told me, the bride, about this before the wedding because this could've easily triggered a Bridezilla melt-down. I appreciate that once Friar Tux was notified of the issue & our poor experience, they said they would refund the cost of the shirt and also refunded the cost of the tie when it was returned. There are a lot of other places to rent formal-wear, I wouldn't recommend this Friar Tux location. read more

Nothing but wonderful things to say. We inadvertently showed up at this location right at there closing time, and they insisted we come in and look around anyway. Not only did we look around, but they did all the sizing for my groom and his best man and helped us put together the entire look even though they were after closing. Olivia, our consultant, was so helpful and energetic. She made the whole process seamless and fun with her fantastic attitude and customer service. We will definitely go to this location for any future formal wear needs. read more

I am understanding it is prom season but this is absolute BS. No one is in control of what is going on and I have yet to be told anything about if and when I will ever be helped. Be aware of the calendar when you plan to visit! Sunday's were the only days that worked for us, which happen to be one of the busiest days for returns. Great experience at Friar Tux for Prom! Wyneth helped me with everything and made the whole process a lot easier.

DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL!! This is by far the worst company I have had to deal with. They schedule a "fitting" and yet when it is time to get your tux (usually 2 days before the wedding date) the tux is completely off on size. They do not have trained staff to do fittings or pick ups for the tuxedos. For my wedding, my dads, brother and 5 groomsmen shirts didnt button or fit, they were too small. My brother and 3 other groomsmen had pants that didnt fit. My husband's vest did not fit him at all. And they gave our officiant the father of the groom's tux, which they sent out because that was too big for him since he isn't as big as the father of the groom. Our groomsmen, my dad, my brothers, and the father of the groom had to go back multiple times just to get a tux that fit them. Mind you, this is all happening TWO DAYS before my wedding. The father of the groom ended up having to go back on the actual day of the wedding just to get his tux. If you want to get a tux and have it be headache free, then I suggest to not go to any Friar Tux. They are all awful as these issues were from both the Brea and Rancho stores. They do not deserve any stars and I wish there was a button with no stars to give. Steer clear from this awful company and pay a little more at Men's Warehouse or Jos. A Bank, it will be worth the extra money spent, trust me! read more

Shopped for a tie as a gift here and received the BEST service from Danny A. The purchase was not very expensive but I customer service that I got from Danny was beyond what I had was superb; he went above and beyond what was expected. I found out later that my child had also visited the store and was helped by Danny. It was fantastic to hear that she received the same excellent service. There have been times that my teenager has been discouraged to shop at particular stores because of the poor customer service that is given especially when unaccompanied by an adult. It's great to know that there are services and stores that will give everyone the same wonderful help that we all hope for. Thank you, Danny, and the store manager there, for your help, your outstanding service and for giving us a new place to shop for menswear.
