Update: Friar Tux really did their best to make things right. After a couple voicemails and apologies, they sent a generous coupon for my next visit. I think they've done their part to make things right. Great service overall and for trying to address issues. -------------------------------------------- My original review was 5 stars, but I had a horrible return process. I did not get a receipt for return after I was told I would. Was notified that my tux was not entered into the system a day after upon return and was asked to call in a couple days to make sure my tux was found. Why would it be my job to call in a couple days for a mistake I did not make? I even returned my tux to the exact location I rented it from. What an inconvenience. For the money spent, this should not be an issue, especially if I returned the tux early in the morning, hungover, the day right after the wedding. The tux was not even that great. Shirts are loose, shoes are uncomfortable, and no socks are provided. Had a better experience and fit at Men's Wearhouse and Joseph A Bank. read more

This was the best experience I have had at a Tux Shop ever! When we walked in we were greeted by two very cheerful employees. The first was Nathan who helped us through the whole process. We told him what we were looking for color wise it I wanted my fiancé to try on the styles so we could see what he liked. He tried on different colors and styles both tux and ties. We finally decided on what we wanted. He explained the whole process to us about measurements (the whole bridal party is out of town) and they made it super convenient for us to coordinate everything with our bridal party. He answered all of our questions, was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this store to any bride in need of bridal party tux rentals. The people at this location are very friendly and helpful. They make it very easy and convenient. Not sure the name of the lady that was pregnant when I went but she especially helpful and friendly. Be smart and don't come during prom. If you do go during school hours. Don't go the day you need the suit and get frustrated if there is a wait. The schedule day for pick up is always a few days out in case you need any changes last minute. I personally think they are staffed well but it is hard to tell when there is going to randomly be 20 people coming in at the same time. So just make sure to go when you have time. That way if they are packed you can come back when it slows down. Suits are very clean and comfortable and it seams they give you knew shirts every times because they look and feel brand new but I'm not sure. read more

Yup, I'm reviewing Friar Tux. There was a big after-hours party there and we all dressed in tuxes and drank free designer vodka. No we didn't. Straight up tux fitting for my friend's wedding. I'm sure in the world of Tux shops this place is like effing Cheesecake Factory or McDonald's, but I'll take a bullet in my mom-n'-pop-loving gut for this one. The staff was young, energetic, helpful, and tolerant of our antsy-ness since it was hot as hell out and we wanted to start the Groomsmen Beer Drinking Day as soon as this little black tie hurdle had been surpassed. They had a fine-enough selection including the all-important CAMOFLAUGE vest and lapel, for all your Metal Mullisha wedding needs. They also stocked 5 or 6 kickass hats, none of which we could convince the groom to let us sport. We were sized and fitted in no time at all, I got a followup email later that day, and not even the starngely hot girl who kept walking near us and farting could ruin the experience. This is the location I got fitted for the 2nd and honestly, unnecessary time (long story, see my review for the Westco FT) for my wedding tux last year, but my groomsmen used FT locations closer to them...so this will be a review of my own experience rounded off by the experiences my buddies had. First off, if you come here on a Saturday to get fitted, or for that matter, have any business of any kind to transact with these guys, expect to wait. The selection of styles at FT is probably the best of all the chain tux stores, because believe me, I looked. I'm sure that's a big reason these guys get so slammed on weekends, and on top of that, their prices are right on par with the quality of their products and their customer service. My groomsmen all reported no problems with their fittings, they all looked dapper and stylin' on the day of. Just stay away from the West Covina location if you want to avoid the embarrassment of not having a tux on your special day...trust me on this. read more

I personally went to Friar for my own wedding. I got the groomsmen bowties and Wing collar tip, and my brother got a full Tux with very affordable price. We all know that the Tux is going to be worn once or twice. Their staff are very friendly and are willing to help you as far as you go. I personally recommend SHAWN. He was of great help to make a very good deal with me it took us two days to decide everything but he is very patient and smart too. read more
