At this point, I'm genuinely over it…read more I'm tired of this shop repeatedly not honoring its own posted business hours. This is NOT the first time I've made the trip out here only to find the shop closed early with absolutely no notice. This time, the posted Friday hours were 11 AM-7 PM. I drove over TWO HOURS to come to this shop and arrived at 5:15 PM, only to find the doors closed. No explanation. No sign on the storefront. And nothing posted on Instagram letting customers know they were closing early. Seriously, what is the point of posting business hours if customers can't actually rely on them? I understand that unexpected things happen. If you need to close early, that's your prerogative. But UPDATE YOUR CUSTOMERS. A 30-second Instagram story or a sign on the door would have been enough. Instead, customers are left driving hours out of their way just to show up to a closed business. And this gets even more frustrating: I previously left a Google review about this exact same issue, and that review is now gone. Whether it was removed by the owner or otherwise, the fact that my review addressing a legitimate customer experience disappeared is extremely concerning and gives the impression that negative feedback is being swept under the rug instead of actually addressed. I have tried to support this business, but there is only so much inconvenience a customer should be expected to tolerate. Your customers' time matters too. If someone is willing to drive TWO HOURS to support your business, the least you can do is have accurate hours or communicate when you're changing them. At this point, the repeated lack of communication makes it feel like the shop simply doesn't care whether customers show up or not. Do better. Update your hours. Communicate with your customers. And stop making people waste their time and gas just to find out you're closed.

If you have any questions just message them on instagram @kpopjoystore and ask! They're very responsive there and post updates frequently. Also check for their hours there. They also have a stamp card too so make sure to ask about that. Parking is easy since it's in a large plaza. The store is on the 2nd floor and sign is easy to spot. (It looks like they used to be at the Plaza West Covina mall but they are not anymore. Just FYI: their address in La Puente is correct and is only 10 minutes from the mall) I love supporting smaller honest businesses. Their prices are very reasonable if you take into account how much international shipping and tariffs are these days so I think it's definitely a steal! I've visited other stores locally and prices are often marked up too much. I'm always wary about online stores as well because people sell a ton of fakes now and you never know if it's legitimate or not. Being able to see the product is always the safest method. I had a nice chat with the owner the other day and he was very sweet. He also threw in a couple freebies which I really appreciate! My wallet won't be too happy but I can't wait to be back again!
