It is a buffet style so you can eat as much as you want. The servers are so nice. It was not busy at all and was so calming. They also have a tea and coffee bar in the morning, and hot water for tea in the evening. I wish I could eat here every day! The food is local, fresh, and so healthy. A dream for a dietitian like me! I love how they decorated for Christmas too.

The restaurant has a wall of windows that overlook a partial green space but also a parking lot. This is a buffet with a nice selection of salads & a few desserts - this salad bar is the highlight. The hot entrees were sliced pork loin (which was dry) and a fish & dill potato stew (which was nice). There is also a vegetarian hot main - a carrot/potato mash patty (interesting), wild rice with cranberries (very good) and mixed veg. Drink prices are good and I asked for a house red that was very nice. It's a unique experience and we were amused by the fact that everyone was more quiet than in a usual restaurant - the idea of being in a monastery (even a former one) stayed in people's minds. NB - breakfast is taken in silence, as an ode to the previous inhabitants. The food is a 3-4, and the service & unique nature of it brings it to a 4.

It's hard to pick as each item looks better than the last. Sticking with the basics though, croissant, almond filled croissant and a hazelnut roll. Oh my gosh. The almond filling was amazing. Like a marzipan but lighter and more almond flavor. Generously filled into a sliced croissant. The hazelnut roll;similiar to a cinnamon roll but an elevated taste with real hazelnut paste. Basically everything in that bakery is top drawer as they are using pure ingredients. Definitely stop in and try anything. No disappointments only regrets that you eat more!

My salmon bagel was also a star! So fresh, good toppings and great crunch. The bagel was chewy and delicious too. Service was fast and we enjoyed everything we had!

The pear martini with gin was bright and elegant, lightly sweet with a clean botanical finish that felt refined rather than sugary. The MSG with mezcal cocktail brought a smoky, adventurous character with depth and balance that made it stand out. The chili con carne was pure comfort. Rich, slow-cooked flavor, hearty without being heavy, and perfectly complemented by fresh greens and crisp bread. What truly elevated the experience was the amazing service from our waitress. Warm, attentive and effortlessly welcoming, she made the entire meal feel relaxed and personal, the kind of hospitality that turns a good dinner into a memorable one. A charming local spot with thoughtful drinks, satisfying food and genuinely exceptional service

Started with a few favorites from the fabulous waitress who took great care to go over the menu with my group before we ordered. The French Onion and Creamy Tomato were both excellent. In particular, the French Onion might be the best iteration I've ever had. The crusted cheesy, bready top held up well to savory broth and caramelized onions. The Buvette, Tartare, and Escargot were all also very delicious. The Buvette was tender and beefy on top of a bed of cream of corn, roasted corn and tomato caramel for a slight sweetness. The Tartare was a classic rendition, beefy and mustardy, and one of the few times I've had tartare that was filling. After our meal I was snapping a photo of the restaurant and the owner Louis saw me and took a few photos for me. He's an excellent photographer as well!

I booked resos for six of us here on vacation as I heard this spot fills up quickly. We sat at one of their picnic benches in the center room. I ordered the breakfast of eggs, sausage, toast and hashbrowns with a side yogurt. The breakfasts are HUGE so you can easily share with someone else if you're not in the mood to eat a full one yourself. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the toast buttered and fluffy, the hashbrowns were cooked well and seasoned well which is such a bonus as I find sometimes hashbrowns are lacking a lot. The side yogurt was surprisingly the highlight for me! It came with maple syrup, fruit and granola. I absolutely devoured it! The service was great here too, and they came by with drip coffee top up! They know their audience. I would 100% go back here!

Pesto is not a standard or commonly expected dressing for a Mediterranean salad, and there was no indication on the menu that tree nuts were included. After eating the salad, I experienced a severe allergic reaction that required an ambulance ride to the hospital. While this was happening, we were still asked to pay the bill, and the meal was not comped despite the seriousness of the situation. I understand restaurants cannot account for every allergy if they are not informed ahead of time, but menus should accurately disclose ingredients, especially major allergens like tree nuts when they are used in unexpected ways. I also reached out privately afterward hoping for some acknowledgment or support and never received a response. I hope this review encourages better ingredient transparency and more compassion in emergency situations moving forward.

The passing trays looked amazing but we couldn't find seating to save our lives so we struck out to look for another location nearby. You start with a base: quinoa, rice, bulgur, fries (poutine), or lettuce. You choose a number of chicken tenders in one or two flavors, then choose from a variety of toppings. The staff here *understandably* is not great in English, which can of course change depending on where you go and when you come. This was one of our first stops before my high school/college French instruction "clicked on" again, so ordering was mildly stressful for our family. It would have been nice if there were some pre-designed bowl recipes to select from (like Cava, for example). For those of you willing to play the language barrier game, the sky is the limit in terms of how you can personalize your bowl. Like every Quebecois dining establishment, this fast food chain is head and shoulders above any American equivalent. Even their poutine (which can be messed up, I assure you) was among the top poutines I've eaten. This is a great place to grab a quick meal, as light or heavy as you require.
