Asian staff preparing behind the counter were told several times about the order but, still, forgot the protein that we paid extra for the other bowl! The other bowl was filled with 90% rice and 10% the rest of the ingredients so, you were paying $12 for the rice. I called few times to inform their mistakeS and their phone just rang and rang but no one answered!! And, I live pretty far from the place! Good food but needs improvement. We ordered a pangoa which has "brown rice, avocado, aged cheddar, cherry tomatoes, black beans, corn, cilantro, lime wedge, fiery bbq sauce" with steak as an add-on. We also ordered 2 drinks and a baja burrito to-go. Complaints: - the pangoa was completely missing avocado - the lime wedge was the driest lime wedge I have ever encountered. I don't even know if I got a drop out of it - it felt like the woman who took our ordered was rushing us. We started off ordering a burrito, she asked us if we wanted anything else, and we said "um" and she said total and directed us to pull up. Her mistaking our order was finished a couple of times was very inconvenient. We were also not taking long to tell her the orders as well. It is incredibly unprofessional how your staff are doing their little tip entrapment scheme at this store. To ask me if I would like to tip while displaying the atm handheld like a flight attendant selling pretzels is ridiculous. I get it, by confronting the purchaser out right they feel more obligated to tip. Because of this cheap trick to make a buck I will no longer go to this store. If you get a tip, it is because of the food and the service. Not because you out right asked for one before you even earned it. I'm giving this place a 5-star review. Why?: I've been twice already in less than a week. Not like me to do this especially when I remembered to bring a lunch to work but that's how good my first meal was - I craved a repeat! Plus, it's healthy! What took me so long to go here: I avoided this place because although several people told me it was good, they also said it was pricey. Let me tell you... the price is worth it - quick and friendly service, good portions (it's 2 meals for me: lunch and supper), sriracha sauce on every table (yum), fresh food - yummy veggies and chicken. Why I went: I was joining two out-of-towners who remembered someone raving about this place last year and had it on their list to go this visit. All 3 of us were raving about it afterwards too. One comment from the table: I am never eating at a fast food chain again - not when you can get this [awesomeness] for just a dollar more. I ordered the Buddha Satay bowl (recommended by the server as the most popular when I told her we were first timers) and it was sooooo good. The other got a teriyaki bowl with rice and steak. The other got a teriyaki with noodles, falafel and different toppings like cranberries - she was adventurous and she enjoyed every bite. The place was clean, bright and was a nice place to sit and eat. Back again already: Today, I got the same order and I introduced a newbie who got a chicken smokehouse burrito and when I said I would Yelp 5 stars - he agreed! Again the place was clean, service was quick/friendly, good food! I will continue to go here so long as they keep up the great everything. Get your Groupon: the newbie told me freshii was on Groupon - bonus!!! We both picked up 3 each because we will be back. I hope you go and I hope you have as great an experience as we all did. This is my go to when I want to eat and not feel like a human trash can after. The food is well priced and of great quality. I recommend the Pangoa Bowl with Greek ranch instead of the BBQ sauce. I noticed Freshii opened up a few months ago and thought it'd be good to check out. Fast forward to today...I finally made it! My coworkers kept telling me how good it was, so today when I had a hankerin' for a salad I headed over. It's tucked away in the end of a strip-mall, but don't let that fool you. The place has huge windows, lots of light, tons of seating, and is nice a bright. There were a couple people in there ordering, so I took a look at the menu and perused the fresh veggie offerings. The staff were nice, but not really helpful. They didn't offer any recommendations or ask any questions - just kind of let me stand there with a confused look on my face until I was ready. A couple suggestions would have been great, but eventually I managed. I settled on a Cobb salad + chicken to go. It was delicious! Greens, avocado, tomatoes, corn (so much delicious corn!), blue cheese and bacon with honey Dijon dressing. It was big, it was all SO fresh, and it was fabulously delicious. It was a little pricier than I had expected, $13 for the salad + chicken, so it won't be an everyday lunch but it was a great, healthy, fresh treat. I'll be back another time to check out the rest of the menu - it looks good! read more

I had an opportunity to try Freshii in Burnside recently (in the former DQ spot). The experience had its positives and negatives. First, the positives. The staff were friendly and service was pretty quick. The proteins you can add to the dishes are advertised as hormone free. I had a Cobb wrap, which was filled with fresh veggies, blue cheese, and dressing. Though the dressing had a bit too much vinegar for my liking, I am sure it would be perfection to someone else. On the not so positive side, despite there being 2 employees and only 1 other customer present, there were at least 6 tables that remained not cleared/cleaned. I decided to take my food to go. I also tried one of their detox drinks. The flavours listed in the ingredients weren't really distinguishable. I did not care for it, did not finish it, and wouldn't get it again (unless, of course, I was doing a full juice cleanse - but if food is an option, this won't be included in my future orders). Overall, a mixed first visit. I will try it again though; not many places make the effort to provide hormone free meats and it is worth the support of a second try! read more

Walking in I was a bit nervous as I'm pretty picky when it comes to my salads and bowls. I let the lady know this upon ordering and she was amazing. Told me to take my time, let me know how ordering works and that if I wanted to take more time there were sheets to build my own.?!? Whaaaat! This alone deserves the first four stars. I made my mods and added a bunch of stuff. Waiting for the total (expecting super $$$) 12 DOLLARS!! Are you kidding. That's a great price for a salad as modified as mine.
