I first heard of it about a week ago and after checking out the online menu, knew it was a MUST try as soon as possible. The actual menu in person is a magazine in thickness, the breakfast lover's dream. LOL Lots of free ample parking. Pretty big inside, with seating I would guess for 100, high ceilings, lots of natural light, a TV on each far wall, basic tables, partial view of the kitchen through glass walls. Friendly staff. I first tried it at 8am on a Saturday and we were only the 2nd or 3rd table taken. Started with the Peanut Butter Blast smoothie (strawberries, bananas, PB and chocolate milk) which was creamy and very good, of course too filling to add to a big breakfast, unless you are a massive eater. My Mexican skillet (steak, black bean, peppers & corn blend, red onion, tomato, white cheddar topped with avocado, mild salsa & sour cream on a bed of home fries with one egg) is massive itself. It tasted quite good, although some of the cold topping on the side I pushed a bit away from the hot parts of the dish to keep them warm. My friend had the Two Eggs (with bacon) that comes with thick, white buttered, fresh toast that he loved, actually saying it is one of the best toasts he's had. Decent coffee I think is unlimited. We both walked away pleased, myself overly full.
I actually came back for a 2nd visit the next day! It was after 10am this time and the place was quite busy, not enough to have a wait, but getting closer to capacity. The Breakfast Brioche was very good (egg, bacon, yellow cheddar, lettuce, tomato, avocado & fresh herb mayo on a soft brioche bun that has their P&S logo stamped on it). The server asked if I wanted cheese on the home fries, which is not common I find, so I said yes. It looked like spaghetti when it arrived - clearly the cheese was put into some kind of dispenser, and not really melted, but started to melt a bit on the home fries, and was good albeit not a large amount. Nonetheless, I do look forward to coming here again soon, probably for a lunch to try something sweeter.
3rd visit: the following weekend on a Sunday at about 7:30. I was the only customer for the first few minutes, which was nice and relaxing. Friendly service still. I tried the 'Avocado Bacon' (2 poached eggs, smashed avocado, bacon, yellow cheddar, arugula, microgreens, tomatoes on 12 grain toast with choice of fruit or home fries. I didn't say anything at the time, but I'd have recommended that the tomato, egg, cheese maybe all be put in the oven and then the cold ingredients put on last minute. The whole dish was cold and the cheese slice not melted, so I didn't enjoy it near as much as I would've if it was still partly warm. I believe the dish is meant to be served this way, so just my preference and not an actual complaint. Otherwise, I will busting full again and still will come back here, but be more aware of dishes with hot & cold ingredients.
4th visit: 8:30am Saturday, not too busy. Californian omelette (FIVE eggs, bacon, caramelized apple, Swiss cheese). Very tasty. Massive, with home fries. Detox smoothie (blueberries, pineapple, banana, Greek yogurt, OJ) very delicious and creamy. Friendly service.
5th visit: 9am Sunday, not too busy again. Sante Fee eggs benny (black bean, peppers & corn blend, avocado, red onion, tomatoe, white cheddar, spicy drizzle). Much better than the 'Avocado Bacon' above. The cheese was still not melted, but the heat of the English muffin and egg softened the cheese at least. The spicy drizzle reminded me of a Sriracha, but gave the kick that slight kick that helped. read more
