Everything went great. Tia gave me exactly the cut I wanted. She also recommended a colorist for my second visit. Carson was wonderful as well. I highly recommend i read more

Micah is terrific and did a beautiful job on my fine, limp hair. I highly recommend her!!

I had been going to Fresh Salon for a little over 2 years now, I had been pleased with the services I had received from Kris. Kris gave a beautiful cut and a master at the precision bob cut. However, the last 3 times I have gone to see her, my cut has been below par. Once too layered, so as it grew out it looked horrible. The second time left lopsided, the final straw and last time I will ever see her my hair too long, lopsided and over cut with layers. Kris is rough, cutting my neck with her scissors, ripping a mole I have on my scalp. She has a total disregard for service and customer satisfaction. Secondly, the political opinions should be left at the door, no one wants to hear how you feel about politics in America these days. $80.00 a cut, the salon charges a 3+% for using a debit or credit card. My cut not worth $15.00 let alone $100.00. I am sad and disappointed in the decline of what was an amazing hair stylist. This is the last time I will have Kris cut my hair, and after my cut on Friday... I should get my money back, the cut is simply pure crap, I would have gotten better at Supercuts. read more

Long time client and the reason is consistency, honest input into what is best for my hair type/condition, professionalism, and great results. Highly recommend! read more

I had an amazing stylist back in SF, and was nervous about replacing him when we moved to Charlotte. However, I felt reassured that I found a great new stylist after my first haircut with Cris. Cris gave me a haircut that was exactly what I was looking for and that grew out beautifully. I just got my third haircut from her today and don't think I will be able to go to anyone else. Cris is also very relaxed and easy to talk to. I've also gotten my hair highlighted and glossed by Christina, and she gave me the exact color I was looking for each time. As someone with jet black hair, I was nervous about getting my hair dyed, but she did a great job both times. The staff at the salon are always really nice and helpful, and it's so easy to make an appointment. They also carry Davines now, which is awesome. The prices are reasonable. Overall, I would recommend Fresh Salon! read more

I have been having my hair colored by Jazzmin for a couple of months. Each time she has done an incredible job delivering the color I want. she is great at asking the right questions to provide the right results. I am impressed by her knowledge and her ability to make a quick decision . I must say my expectations are pretty high. Jazzmin has exceeded them every time. read more

Jen is the most AMAZING colorist and the best who has ever worked on my hair! She is a true professional with an incredible eye for detail and a deep understanding of color. Every time I leave her chair, my hair looks vibrant, healthy, and beautifully styled. Not only is she skilled, but she's also warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about making her clients look and feel their best. I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my hair! read more

Glad I came back to give this salon another shot. I Had my hair fixed by senior stylist Christina. She turned my winnie the pooh colored hair to a lovely natural shade of soft walnut with palomino highlights. Absolutely loving it. Just want to say Thank you!! read more

Went here for the first time had a great and affordable experience with mkayla! Going to return

I love Fresh Salon. I told my hairdresser, Cris, if she ever moves, I'm going to have to follow her. The staff is friendly and professional. Everyone is wearing a mask, including clients. They have masks available if you forget yours. They provide hand sanitizer and take your temperature before cutting your hair. I have never been disappointed in the six years I've been a customer. I highly recommend Fresh Salon! read more

I have been going to Fresh Salon since moving to Charlotte in 2019. The receptionist helped me select the right colorist and stylist (Jose and Cris) to fit my budget and needs. I always feel so much better after they do their best to make me more presentable. read more

*UPDATE* Got a wash, trim and blow-dry with Emily who was meticulous with the cut and was expertly able to straighten my thick, curly hair. Check out her bio on Fresh's website, it was 110% correct! read more

I'm in love with my color and cut from Fresh Salon. Sending props to Jose for an amazing color and Cris for killing it on an angled razor bob. I'm feeling so sexy and sassy. From making my appointment to leaving the salon feeling like a new woman, I was treated so well. read more

This review is based on one visit. The person who cut my hair had me out of the chair in 20 minutes, and that's counting some chatting, a shampoo, a timeout so this person could get a bandaid because they cut their finger with the scissors, and using the hairdryer to finish. Some might be into a quick trip like that, and I might be too, except the result was an expensive haircut that looked rushed and sloppy and lacked finesse, and even a month later is so disappointing to me. read more

I had a haircut last month in Fresh Salon. The cut was horrible. I called and asked them in advance if they know how to cut men's hair and they assured me that they do. I paid 79 dollars ,including tip and had a horrible cut. The lady who cut my hair was very nice and friendly. But could not cut men's hair. read more

I have straight Asian hair, the kind that looks frizzy if it's layered incorrectly. That being said, I was a bit nervous about trying a new stylist closer to home as I've been seeing an asian hair specialist (yes, there is such a thing!) in Chicago since I'm out that way for work sometimes. Planning my haircut around work was getting old so I decided to do some Yelp research. Based on reviews and photos alone, I decided to book my first appointment with Ken for a trim and overall shape up. I showed him a photo of what I wanted and he also provided helpful recommendations on different variations based on my hair length and weight which I preferred. Not only did I feel comfortable with his level of experience and professionalism, Ken is super personable and fun to chat with too! Less than an hour later, I was amazed with my results! Thank you Ken for giving my hair life again! read more

I chose this salon due to the great reviews. I'm very pleased with my services. Cris gives a beautiful and easy to style razor cut. Jazmin gave me lovely highlights. They both listen well and are excellent at their art. read more

First time experience was nice. Tia was very welcoming and professional. Will likely start making appointments here for future haircuts!

This is the place I was looking for, everybody is really nice and professional. I did my eyebrows with Jose and he did a beautiful job and then I went back to cut my hair and it was another pleasant experience. They have another client for sure. read more

I had my second visit with Makayla today. The first visit was to tame my undercut. This time, a full haircut. She was so attentive and actually gave feedback about what would look good. Other places I've been to, it's just "whatever you want." She was checking in with me regularly (but not in an overwhelming way) to make sure I was still liking the way it was turning out. For reference, she cut a short bob with an undercut, including shaved sides. She was also really careful about my still-healing helix piercings which I greatly appreciated. I felt so much better walking out of Fresh than when I walked in. Thanks, Makayla! read more

Very disappointed. I scheduled an appointment for the morning of my prom. I walked in and was told that there was no appointment under my name and that my appointment was scheduled by an employee who had been fired earlier that week. Not sure how that relates to me because that employee was not scheduled to cut my hair. I showed them proof of my scheduled appointment and they still offered me no solutions. Not very apologetic either. I will not be going back. read more

Called to schedule a shampoo and blow dry. The pleasant young lady told me that Jose was the only available stylist and his charge was $50! I guess he must be darned good. Unfortunately I considered $ 50 to be a little pricey so on to the next adventure! read more

Fresh Salon is a great place I've been going there for 10 years. Jenn and Tia both are so experienced. Along with other stylists who I've had color my hair. Wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

So I thought I would try a new place. Based on reviews, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, I left with the worst color of my life. The colorist asked what I wanted and then did not follow through or ask questions to make sure it was going well. I figured she did things in an order I wasn't used to, but apparently I should have spoken up sooner. When I finally realized what had happened, she tried to make it sound as if it was my fault.. I left practically in tears. I asked if I could make another appointment to get what I was hoping for and she attempted once again to make me feel like it's my problem so I decided not to book that appointment after all. I spent quite a bit of money for hair that I now have to go get re-done at a salon I can trust. This place will be a lesson learned and a hard pass from here on out. read more

I went to this salon for the first time the other day. This is a very nice salon. Everyone is friendly and polite. I had my hair highlighted and cut. They did a great job! I only took one star off because it was much pricier than I am used to. I will probably not be back, but only because of the cost. If my budget allowed I would definitely continue to go here. read more

Tana is a fantastic colorist, trust her completely! Bonus that she is adorable, sweet and always runs on time.

The owner of the salon reached out to me after seeing my last review and graciously offered me a re-do -- a complimentary cut and color. The salon manager called me promptly to arrange an appointment and see how they could make me happy. I am very pleased with the new results. The colorist, Ehron gave me subtle natural-looking highlights and a more flattering base color. Tia, the stylist, accommodated my request for a minor trim and just cleaned up the overall line so that I could grow it out more. The manager also sought me out during my appointment to ensure that everything was going well. I want to acknowledge Fresh for taking proactive steps to ensure a satisfactory experience for their clients. I often see businesses claim that they strive to exceed customer's expectations, but few actually deliver on that claim. Fresh made a coordinated and professional effort to turn around my perception. Well done! read more

It's always a great experience at Fresh. Tana always gives me a great color. She asks what I want to do, then produces a great color! I have been going to Fresh for years! Great salon . read more

Talk about history repeating itself, wheeewww! Long story short, I got a terrrrrrrrible dye job at a salon in my new city of Atanta. Terrible as in wicked-witch-of-the-west-terrible. I knew I couldn't walk around looking like a wackjob forever so who did I call to save the day? Fresh Salon. I asked for my favorite stylist Jen who had done my hair previously when I lived in Charlotte. However I was told she was getting married and would not be there. (congrats, Jen!) They recommended Kaia for this delightful job. Thank God for Kaia! We had a thorough and honest consultation about realistic expectations for my hair. Obviously we wanted to preserve the health of my hair and work on extracting the god awful dye that was killing my soul and my vibe. She did a color correction, highlights and toner today and friends, let me tell you, I am blown away by the results. My hair looks awesome, still feels healthy, and is attractive once again. Sure, it took 3 hours, wasn't cheap, and my scalp is sore but considering how important hair is, it's well worth it. I cannot impress enough how grateful I am to Fresh. Not only is Kaia a miracle worker, but the gals who booked my appt and I checked out with are sweet as can be. I encourage anyone looking for a quality, classy and talented salon, please check out Fresh. read more

I had a great experience at Fresh Salon. Kristen was skilled, friendly and professional. It was my first haircut there, since I live in New England, but as a frequent visitor to Charlotte it won't be my last! I was impressed with the Fresh Salon's safety measures during the pandemic and felt very safe. read more

I would not recommend this place for color at all! I made the mistake to go there following the previous reviews, there must be two Jenifers, because the one that took me had absolute no experience on how to color hair ( I should have walked out the minute I noticed her asking for advise to her co-workers) after I explained my fears she assured me that it would be OK and she had 10 years of experience...well, exactly what I feared happened! The color washed orange! I went back for color correction they assigned me to Jose, and now I have a horrible 2 shades of maroon washing off into pink!! So disappointed!! Do not go to this place, it's not at all what their website is set to be and I am not sure what the previous reviews are based on. read more

Loved the staff and the salon looked so nice. They also followed COVID protocols. Everyone was wearing mask which is good and also everything was so clean. I got my hair dyed recently and I showed my stylist a picture of the style and color I wanted my hair to be. It was a balayage in a of mix of gray and blonde sorta but my hair didn't come out the way I wanted to be. It was basically the same style I had before. I tried making it work but it's basically the same thing I had when I had gotten it dyed the first time. read more

2nd time going to Crystal -she was great. This not a leather couches/lemon water, pampering atmosphere type salon, like Planet 21 in Arboretum . It is located in the center of the Promenade on Providence strip mall and my haircut was $10 higher- then Planet 21. However, I like will take it since Crystal is always on time and doesn't make a lot of small talk that extends your appt. for hours! Time is money for the customer too-I get out of here in under an hour-cut only-long hair. (Haircut and separate colorist like higher end salons) read more

I went for a curly cut yesterday with Cris. Loved every bit of it. The staff was very welcoming when I walked in. they checked me in and Cris arrived promptly to get me. She asked what I wanted and delivered it! The salon itself is nice as well. I recommend this place, as well as Cris. read more

Super frustrated with my experience. I went to get my hair done for prom and asked for a curled blowout. Everything was great about my experience except the hair. I asked for curls like the picture on the left and the right was what it looked like when I was done. It was completely straight with a weird wave to it!! it looked horrible. Also they don't tip on card so going to get cash or check to bring back was super inconvenient! will not be returning :-( read more

Customer service is extremely important to me, so when I receive excellent service, it's worth writing about it. Amanda has been cutting my hair for years, not only is she an excellent stylist, she is friendly and listens to me when I want to try something new. I have NEVER left her chair disappointed and I am pretty picky!!! I have had complete strangers (no joke) comment on how great my hair cut looks. As for color, I can't say enough about Jen. She is a fantastic colorist, hands down!!! She knows her stuff, from the color that best suits my skin tone- to special care she takes to keep my hair healthy. There is no pretense at this salon, just "down to earth" professionals who excel at their work. read more

Very pleased with my last visit. I'm fairly new to this salon but have had nothing but great service since I've been coming here. Kristen has cut my hair twice and Jose has colored my hair once. Both did an excellent job. They were professional and friendly. I plan on continuing using Kristen and Jose going forward. read more

I called Fresh Salon, and Taylor was very friendly and helpful on the phone, she suggested Cris, for my haircut. I was able to book the appointment within two days, which was great! I arrived with about 7 minutes to spare till my time, and I logged onto their wifi to show pictures of what I would like. The ladies at the front were very kind, as they checked me in. Cris picked me up right on time, and was happy to meet a new client, which put me right at ease. We discussed what I wanted and she gave me suggestions and helped steer me in the right direction. She gave me a great hairstyle and I am super pleased :D I will be back for sure, Thank you Fresh Salon. read more
