Before we even started, Jasmine made an impression on me as she consulted with me regarding the products I use and my everyday routines to gather an understanding of my hair. She even provided tips! It was my first time getting a silk press and Jasmine ensured I understood every step along the way which eased all my hesitation. You could tell she was knew hair well. It was suggested I get a protein treatment and my ends trimmed. I couldn't have agreed with her more. The difference was a major transformation. I love the setting of the salon as well. This is not an Aveda salon!!! They fried my hair and it is coming out in clumps. Do not go here unless you want damaged hair!!! I was told they were using Aveda. I have long fine blonde hair that has taken me 10 years to achieve by using Aveda products. In only one hour after the stylist bleaching and putting foils "under heat" lamps has ruined my hair. NOT something done at Aveda. It is already half gone and afraid I will soon be bald. I am old and will be dead before I have grown my hair out again. I am so disappointed I made an appointment for a haircut and asked for a trim and for my layers to be shaped. I've been using Tahira at Pur Salon for about 4 months. Pur Salon is very friendly and careful with Covid precautions, taking temps when you come in and enforcing face masks. The stations are pretty far apart which is nice. Tahira does a wonderful job in styling hair to fit your features. I don't even have to blow my hair after washing and it looks great and stylish. All the stylists seem to work together well, which makes for a pleasant experience. read more

I had a consultation two days before my appointment where I showed the stylist what I wanted done to my hair. Confident that she could achieve the color I wanted, I came to my appointment really excited. Long story short, I left in tears. I went from ombré to blue and green. I have photos. My stylist worked really hard to get out the blue after my mom mentioned how terrible it looked. It was nothing like what I wanted. My stylist told me it was because I had box color a few years ago. Which I believe and understand. Like I said, she worked really hard to get the blue out after my mom and I got upset. The receptionist that was helping my stylist was so rude. She actually got mad at me and walked away refusing to help me all because I didn't like the blue in my hair. I couldn't believe it. All I did was ask how long it would take to get the color I came in for (white/gray). If you're in the service industry and someone doesn't like your service, deal with that professionally rather than making a snide comment and refusing to help. Overall, my stylist tried hard to fix the mistake but I am incredibly disappointed with my hair and the receptionists terrible attitude. I did appreciate the effort my stylist took to correct the color, truly. I'm sorry to have to write a bad review. read more

The level of expertise or knowledge of hair cutting (at Pur) is on the level of a kindergarten student with a dull pair of preschool scissors! Actually, the kindergartener would probably do a better job! This is a place with near failing cosmetology students getting 5- 6 times the monetary amount of what their talent actually reflects! Find a salon where the personnel's talent is reflected in the prices! This "AIN'T" it ( bad grammar intentional!) Run in the opposite direction of this place! The owner is rude and unprofessional. Called in at 12pm to see if I could get an appointment. Before I could even finish my sentence to say for a cut she very rudely interrupted me to ask for what? What's with the attitude? I finished my sentence and said for a cut. She said there was an opening at 2. I check in at 1:50. After 40mins of sitting in front of her I go up and have to interrupt her conversation after standing there. I told her I had a appointment at 2 and it's been awhile waiting. A walk-in had been taken in front of me?! She looks confused as if I didn't have an appointment or have not been sitting right in front of her. This isn't the first time I've been in either. I've never gotten my hair professionally colored, I have always just done it myself but it really started getting brassy so I decided to try this place. The appointment process was super easy you can just go online or call but they literally can get you that day or the next which was lovely. The girl who did my hair was super nice and professional. She did an excellent job of getting the brassy out and really came out with a beautiful icey blonde color. The salon was extremely clean all staff very friendly. Prices seem to be the norm of any nice salon. Mine was $120 for everything which didn't think was bad. They also will give you a glass of wine to unwind which I a great thing because I always go after work. This will be my new go to salon for sure! read more

I had been going to Jackie for about 4 months. Loved the quality of her cuts and color. In fact she gets 5 stars. However, the staff answering the phones leaves something to be desired. I had a conflict with my recent appointment. I called in the day before and asked if I was 10 minutes late would that be ok. The receptionist said she was sure that was fine. I called the next morning as soon as I knew my exact timing and was rudely told that I was already too late (5 min) and they could no longer accommodate me. Another appointment was offered for later in the day. Unfortunately, that didn't work with my schedule. Honestly, the receptionist knew the day before that there were openings later In The day and did not offer that. Sad to lose a good stylist, but the front desk staff needs help. read more

Like others who have posted reviews, I had a consultation a few days before my appointment with the stylist I had been going to for some time since I wanted to change my color a bit. I showed her photos of what I wanted and what I didn't want. She was confident that she could deliver the results I was looking for. Like others, after several hours in the salon (and her first attempt to fix my color), I left in tears with ORANGE hair. She tried to fix it again a couple days later when she was back in the salon and even brought in numerous other stylists to consult. While the addition of low lights did slightly improve my color.... I'm now going to have to go somewhere else to try to fix the mess. I look like have have had three separate colors put on my hair in horizontal bands... near the roots is still bright orange. Disappointed that I had to pay nearly $200 for this hot mess and now have to go elsewhere and pay again to get it fixed. Stylist clearly was in over her head on this color process. I went to this salon yesterday to do my haircut and hair coloring. Hair Coloring she did good. But she spoiled my haircut. I was having long medium hair and it's very thick and beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about Pur Salon. I went in several times to buy products, and finally bit the bullet and decided to make an appointment for a haircut. I made the appointment online via their app, and was able to get the time and date I wanted. When I got there, I was greeted warmly by name, and offered water or coffee. I only had to wait a couple of minutes for my stylist Emily to be ready for me. I sat down and showed her pictures and we talked about my life, what I wanted, what I didn't want, and I feel like she really took into consideration everything I said. Was in the area for a family event and stopped by to get my hair fixed up. Natalie was great! She took her time checking out my hair and mixing up the color. Conversation was so easy and it seemed like she had everything done and working it's magic within the first 20 minutes of being there. She got some color on my face, but she wiped it off immediately and I didn't have any color on my skin by the time she finished. Water temp for the hair wash was perfect and she took care not to get water on me or my clothes. She dried my hair in record time and did a great job blowing it out; she didn't leave it half frizzy like some other places I've visited. First timers get a deal, so my service was even cheaper than the already reasonable price she'd told me when we started. You also get this cute welcome packet with more coupons in it. Four months later I am still recovering from the worst haircut of my life. I told my stylist I was growing my hair out and 45 minutes later I had no hair. She kept cutting and chopping and talking about how experienced she was and how she trained everyone in the salon. Meanwhile, my hair was layered, stacked, thinned, then curled oddly to cover it up. I cried for days. I am still crying as the 'stacking' is still growing out (and my hair doesn't grow fast) and it is so bizarrely uneven I can't style it. I will never go back to this salon. I can't even begin to share the amazing experience I had at Pur Salon. I am about to start chemotherapy and my doctor suggested that I cut my hair short so the experience of losing my hair won't be as traumatizing. I have always had longer hair and the thought of having short hair was bad enough without thinking of what this really means for me. I called the salon and asked if I could bring some friends as moral support and they said that was fine. More than fine, they went out of the their way to support me through the whole process. My friends stood by me and Shannon gave me the best pixie cut and talked me through the whole experience. Since I found out I have cancer it has been one blow after another and a complete emotional roller coaster.
