Weeeeelll. My boyfriend and I searched for weeks looking for the right truck. Neither of us had a good past with financing vehicles, and had worked so hard to get where we are-- finally ready to buy a new pickup. Sheryl & Kyle were fantastic to work with today. Out of all the dealerships we went to, Fresh Rides was the ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE. the people, the truck, the environment, process. Everything. I worked with Jason for a steal of a deal on a Dodge Ram truck. After dealing with dishonest used car sales people up and Colfax and Federal I went to Evans for a great priced deal. The truck I bought had a few minor issues, but nothing that couldn't be easily fixed. Whomever had my truck took good care of it and it had a clean Carfax report but was too lazy to even attempt to fix the issues. "Uh oh, cruise doesn't work anymore, time to trade it in." hahahaha. All it needed was a new vacuum seal which I improvised with a heat shrink tube using a lighter. I offered a "fair" price and they countered my price plus tax. Everyone was happy. I even got a free ballcap that says "Freshrides". I personally would rather deal with a small owned business like Fresh Rides. Drove up from Denver to take a look at a truck. Called ahead and was somewhat disheartened to hear that the truck was out on a test drive with someone that was "pre-approved." We decided to go get lunch and told them to keep us posted. That's when things get... odd. They got a hold of us as we were about 15 minutes out of town to let us know that the truck was still available as the prior persons financing fell through (wasn't he pre-approved?) And that it is "deleted." Even with this being known, we took a quick look at the truck and discovered it had a selectable tune (The gentlemen we were working with had no idea what I was talking about. A young lady in the office did, so props to her for being informed.) a very damaged drivers side door, and a few other issues. For those of you who don't know, a "delete" on a diesel truck is when you remove the EGR Cooler, the Diesel Particulate Filter, and the Diesel Exhaust Fluid system. All things the EPA mandates be on current diesel vehicles that operate on public roads. After doing some research, I came to learn that knowingly selling this truck constitutes a federal crime that is punishable with fines up to $25,000 from the EPA. The somewhat larger issue with the "delete" is that the truck will not pass the state mandated emissions test. Before we learned of the legal ramifications regarding the delete, we had made an offer. They stuck to their guns of their original listed price, and if we wanted the door fixed, it would be full asking price +taxes and +fees. Their sales manager walked by us a few times and wouldn't even acknowledge us. We were continually reminded that the truck "books at 37" which is laughable given the condition it's currently in. Word to the wise: exercise extreme caution when dealing with this dealership. It's clear they're unwilling to negotiate, they're not very well informed when it comes to their merchandise, and if they're willing to commit federal crimes, then who knows what else they're up to? read more

With all the over priced vehicles they have on their lot it's a wonder why they wouldn't be busting butt to make a sale. Maybe learn how much a vehicle is truly worth before you put it up for sale. Place must be a front for something else because when we went inside, they sure didn't act like selling a truck. Will go somewhere else where they seem interested in customer service. I went to Fresh Rides looking for a truck for a not for profit organization that works with the homeless. The man who came out to help looked me in the eye and shook my hand. I thought it seem like a good sign. We told him what we were looking for and asked about two specific vehicles. He steered me toward the older of the two. He stated the vehicle had only one owner and 'runs great.' I asked him if there were any issues with the truck. He stated that they had checked it out and everything seemed to be 'in great condition.' I let him know again that I was representing an organization that HAS VERY LITTLE MONEY and that the purchase needed to be solid because our private funding is all from donation or out of our own pockets. He assured me it was a great truck and I test drove it. The truck was slow to start and let out a huge cloud of black and gray smoke when it finally turned over after the third try. I was already skeptical as I drove out. I immediately took the vehicle to get checked out byt a local reputable diesel shop. It cost over $100 to find out what Fresh Rides was trying to sell me. The asking price for the vehicle was around $12,000 - HIGH for the year of the vehicle ('99) . The mechanic told me that he was familiar with Fresh Rides and that the trucks they have looked at in the past had been OK. However, this one was as the mechanic put it - "the truck obviously had some issues that they tried to intentionally cover up." The mechanics over at Fresh Rides had taken the time to thoroughly clean the engine, the turbo, injectors etc. to cover up the fact that the blown seals in front AND back were leaking oil all over the engine. The pinion seals, gaskets on the front and back needed to be replaced ($1000) , the air filter seal was broken and needed to be replaced, the Air cleaner was broken and letting dirt into the engine, the Intake system was toast and needed to be replaced ($350), the TURBO had been taken apart and cleaned but not repaired. The Turbo replacement would have be about $3500, the turbo wheels were totally chewed up and they INTENTIONALLY HID THE PROBLEM AND PUT A NEW AIR FILTER IN TO COVER IT UP. The tread on the tires was very low, they all needed replacing, the paint was cracking in many places and the clearcoat was entirely gone, the air box was broken, it needed an entirely new exhaust system and intake on both right and left sides, the factory exhaust system had been hacked apart. The mechanic said that it would cost a minimum of $5000 - $7000 to get the vehicle in SAFE working order. When we got back and sat down with the guy and told him what we had found out we offered him a fair price for the truck - taking out The the $5-7000 in repairs the truck needed. He claimed that he had 'more skin in it than that' and that he had someone coming in the following Wednesday that would probably buy it. I said that there were major issues with the truck that he should be disclosing. He then said that I was 'making a big deal out of little issues' and they he could 'work with me on the turbo hell I can replace that for $100" he said. I said that we were too far apart on the numbers and that we wouldn't be doing business with them. He just stood up said alright and walked off. I WOULD NOT LET A FRIEND OR EVEN AN ENEMY BUY A "FRESH RIDE". THE ONLY THING "FRESH" ABOUT THESE RIDES IS THE GLUE THEY USE TO COVER UP SERIOUS ISSUES. THERE IS A SERIOUS LACK OF INTEGRITY IN THIS BUSINESS. read more

Purchased a Ram 5500 from Sheryl. When we took it on a test drive we noticed that the check engine light was on and the low radiator fluid indicator was on. We spoke to her about it and was told they were aware of the issue and it was schedule to be repaired by the mechanics. We put a deposit down and was told we couldn't get financing on it until it's repaired because the the finance company wouldn't approve the loan until it was repaired. We picked the truck up did the paperwork hooked our trailer a few days after to head out to work and as we were driving the truck shut off. We had to have it towed to them from Thornton to Evans cost almost $600 just to have the truck towed also had to have the tailed towed back home which was $450. The called the next day told us it was the ecm fuse. We were told that the mechanic said it was because we had a eld device plugged in. Which we have to as we run the truck commercially. I might ad we have never had a problem with this at all In any of our other trucks. The original issue was with the ecm which we were told they replaced. Get the truck back and again same thing happens. We put a new fuse in drive it out their mechanics. I was told by the owner his mechanic is the best in Denver. He looked under the hood and said it was happening because we had put in a aftermarket air box and filter and that we had installed it incorrectly. (You can't install it incorrectly the connections only snap in to the correct ones). Get the truck back a third time in less then 2 weeks then we are in Minesota and the fan clutch goes out taking out the radiator, fan shroud cover, fan the whole works. $3600 later we are back on the road. All good for two weeks and then we get a message saying "regeneration in process dpf filter 100% full" truck goes into limp mode in the middle of the night. $2200 to replace a sensors and force it to go through the regen process. This is after owning the truck approximately a month. Then 4 days later we are are driving through the mountains in MT and our abs light and check engine comes on. Turn around go to the Les Schwab we just passed and we are now looking at $3000 in repairs as the front and back hub assembly, rotors, calipers seals and ball joints all are pretty much toast. This one honestly gets me the most as they knew we were a hotshot trucking company and that we are pulling a 44 foot trailer behind loaded with 15,000 pound give or take (we also purchased the trailer from them same day as the truck) these issue could have killed us or someone else. All in all we paid around $43000 for the truck $18,000 for the trailer and we have put close to $10,000 in repairs and haven't even made the first payment on the truck. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I will be contacting the BBB and possibly an attorney about the situation I have already contacted the finance company to let them know what has happened. I have several text messages from Sheryl only after the finance company called them. She asked about the situation and I explained to her. They tell you they have a warranty but won't let you use it. You have to get permission and they just say bring the truck back here. Doesn't even matter if your in another state. I have given them ample opportunity to fix the issue and work something out with us which is apparently not something they want to do. Sheryl just said well poop in her text about the situation. (See my pic) This is so frustrating as well as a financial burden we have spend $1500 or more on hotel expenses being broken down and the embarrassment of having to let our customers know we are once again broken down. It makes our company not reliable. Had we been informed about all the problems we wouldn't have purchased the truck. I am also in the process of contacting the previous owner to find out what issues the truck had prior to him trading it. I will not drop this until we get some sort of compensation from them. The first time went there I was "greeted" (more like leered at) by a guy with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, greasy hair and looked like he's on work release.
