This is one of those local 'if you know you know places' and goodness only knows what the name actually is - the sign out front just says Bagels, the sign in the door says Fresh Bagel Delight and Yelp thinks it's Fresh Hot Bagels. Honestly, I don't think it matters since the Bagels are actually worth it and there's something cool about just calling it "that good Bagel place". I grabbed a Breakfast Bagel (onion) with sausage egg and cheese, a very hearty breakfast for under $10. As others have said the bagels are great; chewy without being too dense and good balanced flavor. The cashier recommended the Cuban next time so I guess I have a reason to come back and try more. There's plenty of spots to sit and munch if you aren't in a hurry and the interior has a bit of a nostalgic feel. read more

Fresh Hot Bagels - Bagel with egg and cheese - Bagels Near Me - Bear, Delaware

Hands down the best bagel shop in Delaware outside of the NYC area. The bagels are always fresh, soft, and perfectly baked -- exactly what you hope for when you walk in the door. You can tell they're made with care, not rushed or mass-produced. On top of that, the service is outstanding. The staff is friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, even during busy hours. Orders are handled quickly without sacrificing quality, and they're always happy to make recommendations or customize your order. If you're craving a true, high-quality bagel without driving to New York, this is the place. Consistently great food and great service -- highly recommended. read more

Good place to get a bagel and cream cheese - close by. Service is quick and the bagels are fresh.

Don't feel like cooking breakfast at the camp site again this morning so we drove 10 minutes to get here. They had a dozen flavors of bagel. I had the Sun-dried Tomato with bacon, cheese and egg, it came out hot but I couldn't taste much sun-dried tomato on the bagel. Hubby had Cinnamon Raisin with sausage, cheese and egg. It was much better! Wished we could add something extra like pickled onions or jalapeños! Overall glad we've had this option in the area! read more

I ordered a scrapple, egg & cheese bagel sandwich. They put them thinnest piece of scrapple possible on the bagel, and it was only one piece. Absolutely terrible! How dare you charge $8.99 for a skimpy sandwich like that! Will NEVER go there again!!! read more

This little gem of a breakfast spot serves up fresh, delicious bagels at a decent price and with friendly service. I'm from out of town, but every time I stay with my brother, I make a stop here in the morning. The cheddar and everything bagels are my go-tos and they never disappoint. Add some bacon, egg, and cheese, and you have yourself a fulfilling breakfast. If you like crispy bacon, ask for it "well done" and they'll give it a little extra cook time for you. There are various booths and tables inside, so plenty of seating, and folks don't tend to hang around for hours, taking up tables while typing on their laptops or anything. The coffee is decent, but they're served in carafes, so sometimes you get fresh, hot coffee, and other times you get cooler dregs. They'll refill the carafes if you ask, but right now that's the only thing this place is missing to make it 5 star in my book. read more

If I could give this place 0 I would. Made an order over the phone and upon picking it up seeing I am missing an item. I go back to address my concerns and they told me I wasn't charged for it and I needed to place another order. I ordered a Taylor ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel and then a separate order of strawberry cream cheese on a bagel. Why would you put strawberry cream cheese on a Taylor ham egg and cheese? Instead of making things right they dismissed us and asked to order again even though it was their incompetent employee. Will not be coming back. Ridiculous. read more

Way to expensive. Over $2 a bagel....thats over $12 bucks for a half dozen. Bagels are good, not always the best selection. Obviously struggling business. *Front case of salads/cream cheeses are empty *Herr's rack empty (usually a sign of super busy or haven't paid their Herr's bill and not getting restocked til the bill is paid. *Chairs up on tables like they're closing 3 hours early (which they do often close early) *People are super friendly and super slow. Sandwich they were making for the 1 other customer did not look fresh and took forever. My Egg was dry and more like a premade patty they heat up, bacon tasted old. The bagel was the only good part, its a good NY style bagel. I regret no driving a little further to my favorite bagels shop. Will never make this mistake again! Go to The Original Hot Bagels Chestnut Hill Rd in Newark if you want excellent NY Bagels @ $8 a half dozen and $15 a dozen AND their sandwiches are cheaper, fresher, and fuller. Their salad/spread case is FULL and FRESH. Always busy there. I will never go back to the Fox Run bagel shop. read more

I've tried 5 times now and the cinnamon raisin bagels have legitimately had one raisin in them every time

Good place. Inexpensive. My wife's choice for her Bday breakfast. You can order a dozen bagels, you just need to order a day ahead. Good family owned business! read more

Their NY Style bagels are the best. Good texture and big selection of flavors. Best to arrive early before some get sold out. Better yet, call your order in the day before and get exactly what you want. read more

do not believe any review that isn't 5 stars, their food is amazing they have the fattest bagels, with the most generous amount of spread. the bacon egg and cheese hits everytime. at least 6 different options of bagel flavors. they are always quick with their service. it's a cute small family business. i moved three years ago and still crave this bagel place nothing will replace them in my heart and belly. read more

THE BEST BAGEL PLACE EVER. The ladies are the sweetest people ever and always remember my order when I come in. They are super helpful to allergies and they clean the grill off every time for me for my dairy allergy. I go here about 3 times a week and my order has been perfectly made with love each time. I highly recommend!!!!! read more

Way too pricey. Save your money and just go to IHOP, you'll atleast get fresher ingredients there. They gave me burnt bacon in my omelette and charged almost 10bucks for something that was over cooked and horrible . read more

They do not make enough bagels so you can't order a dozen. I understand you only make so many bagels but are you trying not to make money. Breakfast sandwich was almost $9.00 way to expensive. read more

Good place to grab a quick breakfast. Standard bagel and cream cheese selection. Service and ambiance are average.

best bagels in delaware, get the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel with ketchup. oh lawd

Not a whole lot to say here. The service is friendly. The food is good. As far as selections, it's what you would come to expect from a bagel shop. While I would not put them at the top of my list, I would not scratch them off the list either. Good food. Check Fast service. Check Clean storefront. Check Throw in a fancy espresso maker and a barista, I will be there once a week. read more

Super friendly service. Decent variety of bagel and spreads, all made in house. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich and my husband had the steak, egg and cheese sandwich. Both were made to order and quite substantial. The sign says "no public restrooms" but customers can use them. They are large and clean. read more

Nope still hasn't gotten any better and prices r even higher - now it's $2 a bagel !!! $2 !! Anywhere else I have tried is $1 - outrageous !

Just came from here and my Bagel was pretty decent like a 8/10 I wish they toasted it a bit so my juicy eggs didn't soak up into the bread making it a tad bit soggy. As for the coffee 9/10 Wish it was a tad bit stronger but to each their own. The display was pretty chill nothing but good vibes. read more

Have been here a few times recently and decided to write a review. Have gotten a variety of different breakfast sandwiches on a few different bagels as well as a few muffins and toasted bagels. Food is good, has always been fresh and a decent size. Muffin are bigger and have been really good. Only downside is how overpriced they are, even the drinks. Other than that, I'd have given them 4 stars. read more

Nice establishment, friendly staff, and amazing bagel sandwiches... My favorite is the scrapple, egg, and cheese. Coffee is solid and it is right around the corner from my sister's house. Free wifi and never a long line, even on Saturday. If you need a quick and easy breakfast joint, I would highly recommend trying Fresh Hot Bagels. Amazing selection of bagels and every time I stop in they have something new on the menu. read more

I found that these are the best bagels in the area. The bagels and cream cheese are wonderful. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious. For lunch I have only tried the chicken salad on an onion bagel, and the chicken salad was fabulous. By lunch time they are often low on bagel choices. The only thing they really need to improve on is the coffee. It's not very good, so grab some juice or stop by a coffee shop if you are picky about your coffee. read more

Great little business! I love supporting smaller businesses and this one is great. I wish they were open later, however. They could get more customers that are college aged and wake up later and still want breakfast. They have a good selection and the bagels are fresh. Quick service too. Definitely not as good as Bagelmania tho! read more

Just not good. On a random Wednesday, mid-afternoon (2 customers already seated/eating, no one in line), I waited several minutes at the counter before even being acknowledged. Bagel was ok, but not the best texture/flavored egg-bagel I've ever had. It had been toasted as I asked, but was served cold with veggie spread that was watery and almost tasteless. read more

Just found this place. Friendly fast and my bagel was good. I got a whole wheat and asked for it toasted with just a touch of cream cheese and it was just the way I like it. I'll be back for more. read more

Fast, friendly convenient & great customer service. The wait is a little long at times but the food is always hot and fresh.

I love this bagel shop, I get an everything bagel and lox everywhere I go when I travel, especially NYC, heck even abroad, and this is one of my favorite places for it. They're bagels are fresh, perfectly doughy, they're cream cheese is perfect, I get the scallion one that's creamy with specs of scallion in it. The customer service is great, I think it's a lady and her son, family owned business which I fully support and they're smiles and effort to make great food keeps me coming back as a loyal customer. read more

I have tried on several occasions to buy bagels here. The bagels are fine but each time the service was lousy. One time I had to wait until the woman finished her phone call. I looked at her, she looks blankly at me while she continues to talk. Maybe she figured since I was the only customer in the store I didn't even rate a smile or a "be with you in a minute". Not sure how long the call went on but it was not as if she was trying to wrap it up quickly. The next time I tried them the service was prompt but the workers must be told not to smile. read more
