Absolutely the best Italian subs I have tried in A LONG TIME. Let's start by saying that I was born…read moreand lived most of my early youth in Philadelphia, but I was now living in Maryland. I go to Philly sometimes for sport events (Eagles and Phillies) and I always buy cheesesteaks and hoagies at different places to get a taste of who is the best among the many. This time I decided to find places in the Wilmington and New Castle area--after reading many reviews, Gaudiello's Italian Hoagies was the one spot that caught my attention so my wife and I went for it. When you walk in, the place was very clean, and the person at cash register taking the orders was extremely nice and went out of his way to accommodate our orders. I asked for (to take) four different cheesesteaks and one hoagie; all the subs were properly labeled with the ingredients we ordered on each separate order. When I tried my cheesesteak and my hoagie at home, I was blown away by the amazing taste and quality of the meat (cheesesteak was made with ribeye meat and the hoagie with prime Italian ham), and the bread was SUPERB! For next occasions going up north, I'm ONLY stoping at Gaudiello's.

Ohhhh, baby. This place is GOOD!…read more Upon learning that my local smokehouse had permanently closed, I went on a hunt for BBQ joints near my husband's job so he could pick up some take-out on his way home. Locale BBQ Post fit the bill. We called early to order ribs and sides, and by 1:15 they were already sold out of jalapeno creamed corn. So, we ordered a rack of ribs (to share), a side of mac and cheese, some cole slaw, and the meal came with a piece of cornbread. Everything I ate was awesome. The ribs were extremely tender and fell right off the bone. With a little sauce, they were perfection. The cornbread was also incredible. It was a little dry for my liking, but the sweet butter that came with it soaked right into the bread and made it taste incredible. The macaroni and cheese was pretty plain, but with a little crushed black pepper, it turned into magic. Even the cole slaw was good - and I am not a big cole slaw person. I finished my meal and was absolutely stuffed to the brim, and purely content. I will absolutely be eating here again!!

It pains me to give a negative review, especially since I've been wanting to check them out since…read morethe day they opened few years back. Service - wow could you be more indifferent? I came in hoping to be steered towards maybe some of their fast moving items or popular items, but no. I said I'm not sure what to get, and the gentleman walked away to go back to doing whatever he was doing. I ended up going with the 1/2 brisket. Hold on, ill be right back, I need to get a hunk of brisket out from my teeth. Phew! Ok back to my review. I was then asked what sauce I wanted. Since they have their own sauces, I wasn't sure which one to get so I asked for a recommendation and told the second guy I like sweet and spicy. So he grudgingly pointed to the list. Food - was really really really hoping the food would be amazing. Bc all they do is bbq, right? Boy was I off. Brisket was tougher than leather. How would you even serve this to someone? The strips cut were rock solid... dont even try to sell me that this is how brisket is supposed to be!!! Btw im struggling to finish this meal mainly bc it wasnr cheap and its food,, and i dont waste.. i might have to call my dentist after this struggle.. Their slaw was good and crunchy, hence the extra star. I'm good, ill stick to some of the other bbq places in wilmington. Food and service don't make me want to give them another shot. But you should give them a try, i hope your experience is better than that of mine.

But before all that this guy is hungry after work and without local food trucks in the back parking lot and Sculpture garden; I can always rely on the Cafe to satisfy me with a delicious freshly prepared sandwich. I was excited to take my coworker to the event and she settled on an egg salad and ice latte for her meal with some toppings removed while I opted for a curry chicken salad on a croissant with chips. All in all the sandwich was filling with a distinct flavor that I've come to expect with curry seasoning. My friend had large sandwich with arugula and the egg salad that she gave me some of the arugula since there was so much. Adding that to my sandwich broke up the savory flavors with every bite. We got to the muesum just as the event was starting which I'm glad as the muesum and café can get packed quickly. We were able to find a table and unwind before exploring the muesum. I always like this event because I can enjoy a wine with sandwich and feel a little bit classier. The real MVP in dealing with our indecisiveness and being patient was Diego who took our order and walked us through the cash app loyalty program that we signed up for as I know I check out the cafe and muesum least quarterly. He was warm, friendly and took our light hearted banter. I also just found out that they do afternoon tea so another fun event/activity to check out. The cafe always takes care of the wide range of visitors that visit the muesum and we left full, happy and chatty.

From that perspective, you can't go wrong trying out one of the regular or special drinks. I haven't eaten much food, but this time I got a chicken quesidilla and it was not very good. The chicken was didn't appear to be the best quality, it was very bland and while I love cheese it just felt like it was very heavy without much flavor. Perhaps there are other things on the menu that are better, but this was a miss for me. I have had their charcuterie offerings during events and happy hours which seem to be made with quality ingredients.

Many restaurants place great emphasis and effort on the grand opening to garner good reviews and then drop their quality of service and food over time. This wasn't the case at First Watch. My wife and I visited First Watch a year ago on the day after Thanksgiving and were delighted by the quality of food and service, specifically the thoughtfulness and attention to detail from the staff so much so that we had to return one year later. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our hostess who lead us to our table where our family was already seated. Our server promptly arrived to offer beverages, take our orders, and answer questions. As we waited, the manager greeted us at our table and asked if there was anything we needed while our orders were being prepared. The restaurant was well lit with natural lighting and spacious as we remembered it a year ago. The menus were clear and offered a good selection of entrees, sides and daily specials. I ordered the Farmhouse Hasher with eggs over easy. My wife ordered one of the specials -- the double crunch breakfast tacos. Both were brought to us promptly. My wife loved the tacos and said she hadn't had such great tacos like that in quite a while. The farmhouse hasher was as I remembered it - the potatoes were cooked and seasoned perfectly; the bacon nice and crispy; and eggs over easy delicious. This will be our annual day-after-Thanksgiving morning tradition from now on!
