Eat here if you want a sore stomach. 10 years ago this place was fantastic. Go to the dollar store for a frozen pizza and save $$$ and.... well, a sore stomach. This is after 3 recent visits. NO MORE. It's garbage. read more

The ambiance is your typical neighborhood pizza joint. The have a digital menu and a paper menu for you to check out prices and items, but don't bother with the three screens over the counter. They use them as a fast scrolling photo display. You get maybe 3 seconds so see a list of daily specials before10 screens of Photoshopped food pops up. Good luck on getting anything custom made! I especially asked if they made crispy but juice chicken tenders. I got a quick nod and a happy smile 'yeah' So I order the five piece tender meal. What I got? 5 big breast tender, thin, dry and a dark burnt brown around the edges. Soggy fries since they dropped the fries in the same container under the tenders and didn't leave any steam holes. Also included 1 BBQ sauce and 1 honey mustard, these are just included your not asked what you want to dip. Also a gloppy cole slaw cup of about 2 tablespoons and a whole Italian roll, which for some reason was wrapped in a long short piece of aluminum foil thatdoesn't go all the way around the roll but folds over the ends easily. Except for the coleslaw I would have gotten a cheaper meal at half the cost from wawa and it would have been more tasty. read more

It was definitely okay. Just not special. I went just to try it based on recommendations and they had the usual selection of pizza available by the slice. I am not rushing to get back, but I would eat there again if I was in the area. read more

I would give them no stars but then i can't post...... loyal customers for over 20 years..... wrong pizza was delivered.... spoke to person that worked there... they offered a pizza credit for the future so fine, ok...... called to place an order and its like it never happened....... they wouldn't honor for the pizza wanted to offer a five dollar credit for an extra large pizza that was like 20 bucks........, spent thousands a year on and they weren't willing to make good on their promise. Do not go do not order horrible customer service and they've been forgetting things on orders left and right before this it was sodas.............. terrible terrible customer service. read more

Stopped in to try this place for first time and food was really good. I got the burger and my husband got the chicken basket. absolutely YUM! I'll come again! read more

I have never been disappointed. I ordered a medium cheese pizza and it was delicious! It looks like it has extra cheese but this is how they always make them. Hopefully you tell how much beautiful cheese there is from the picture I'm enclosing. Crust was not thin, not thick, I'd call it soft and chewy-just perfect. I ordered through DoorDash. I really wanted cannoli but the price was 3.25 for one and 5.85 for 2. Unless cannoli are larger nowadays than what I remember, I thought that price was kinda high. I highly recommend their pizza, my new favorite pizza! read more

was looking for something quick to eat after therapy, this had quick service but extremely cheap quality. got 2 slices and a drink for 6 dollars which is a decent price but i could still get a better meal at taco bell for 8 dollars. pizza was floppy bc of all the grease so i had to eat with a fork and knife. will not be coming back! read more

Prices have gotten insane. They never were a great value compared to other nearby shops (at least for pizza sizes), but now they are charging 15$ for bacon cheese fries. read more

First off, I want to say it took me over 10 years to place an order with Amore ever since my experience with management after receiving chicken with flies fried in it. I ordered a tex mex salad online, requested chicken on the side so the lettuce wouldn't wilt (common sense) , chose my dressing along with other food items. Received the salad and right away saw the chicken was on the salad, but the worst part was the cheese had melted into a sauce, and the bacon was raw along with hot lettuce. I called as soon as I could and explained the situation. The gentleman who answered first told me I didn't request the chicken separate (shouldn't have to worry about it again, common sense) but then I asked it was supposed to have cheese and said yes, explains the slime on the chicken, melted cheese...But then....I said the bacon was raw. He said no it's not we cook it. I again said, no it's raw and he continued to argue with me. How about...I'm sorry ma'am, can I make you a new salad? Or how can we resolve this? NOPE ....hung up. This is the 2nd time I was told I was a liar and it will be the last. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Learned my lesson and will never order from Amore again. I would say to train your staff better but the same treatment was given by the owner 11 years ago. Do better. read more

Horrible service, delivery took over two hours, i called four times , C.S.R. was rude and unhelpful, delivery driver dropped food off in lobby of hotel without calling me to tell me it had arrived despite my repeated requests for driver to call me when delivery arrived. Food quality has gone way down. I will never pay my hard earned money for such poor service and low quality food again. i was a customer for several years, but never again. DONT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!! read more

I always order their chicken bites and fries. I LOVE them. Even more so because they give you cheese automatically which goes with the fries and pairs well with the chicken. If you've never tried their bites with the cheese, you have to. Idk what it is but it's great. I mostly order when I'm at work so it's always delivery. Never had any problem with them. Their service has always been a good experience. My coworkers have had other meals here and have not complained so I definitely say it worth a try. Great pizza! So much cheese which is what I love! 6 slices, 3 drinks $18. That is a good deal!! Very nice staff too.

We always get the same order, cheese steak wrap and crispy golden chicken special, usually amazing! Not sure why this time was so different. Cheese steak wrap was missing cheese and not even half way filled like normal. My husband chicken sandwich wasn't crispy and hardly any sauce. This was not delivery so it wasn't just sitting for awhile. We will not be ordering from here again. read more

This used to be my 'go to spot' for something fresh, delicious, and close to home. The last 3 orders have unfortunately not tasted 'the same'. I'm not sure if they changes vendors, or what, but it's been mediocre, at best. I hate to say that, and hope they fix it! Come on Amore, Love you guys! read more

I've been to a few places last few months trying to find a good cheesesteak and I finally FOUND IT AMORE PIZZA on Old Baltimore Pike is definitely my go to place now for cheesesteaks AND pizza AND cheesecake. Last try was Capriottis's in Eden Sq in Bear. The worst. See my review. AMORE however made my day! The bread was soft and there was plenty of meat!!! In fact I could barely finish half. That might be because I decided to have a slice of pepperoni pizza while I waited. OMG ~ it was perfect plenty of pepperoni, just thin enough and the sauce was delicious. Lately I've gotten sauce that tastes like a pepper sauce and that's not what I'm looking for. Anyway AMORE in Bear gets 5 for friendliness, cleanliness, prompt service, delicious cheesecake and a cheesesteak that can't be beat AND reasonably priced! And they greet you like a regular even if it's your first visit read more

Our usual pizza place but quality has gone down lately. It is variable as far as crust thickness and overall taste. Delivery is typically on time and we have never had a meal inside the building so cannot comment on service or ambience. Cheesesteaks are much more consistent and we really like them! read more

We ordered 4 slices of plain pizza on Saturday at lunch time. Unfortunately our cashier wasn't as fast as the one who waited on the person behind us, so she got two of the last 4 slices. We were told they were making a fresh pie. Not sure why we don't have more than a few slices available on a Saturday at lunch time. We waited 36 minutes for our slices. Our cashier was much too busy on her phone and talking to coworkers to check on what was taking so long. We finally just asked for them to go. Pizza wasn't bad, but the service was awful. An "I'm sorry it's taking so long" would have gone a long way. read more

i ordered two entrees of spaghetti. when ordered online, I was only allowed one selection, out of 5 options, to choose from for the sauce. instead of choosing marinara, I chose meat sauce, assuming that its meat and sauce combined. when I received my order it was literally dry noodles and meat. There was absolutely no sauce so I'm not sure why it's called "meat sauce", maybe just label the option meat to make it less misleading. Anywho, I called the store to request that they remake the spaghetti and add the sauce in. The manager that I spoke with, refused to understand how any of this was their fault. instead, she felt it better to advise me on how I made a mistake when ordering for not selecting marina and Only selecting meat sauce. I reiterated that it only lets you choose ONE OPTION. But overall, why would anyone order spaghetti without the sauce?!!??! I thought the meat sauce option was to ADD meat to the sauce instead of just having plain marinara. And to make it worse when I asked her if they could fix it, they either wanted to send me marinara sauce on the side or they offered to remake it and collect the ones they made a mistake on. To me, that's bs. what's the point of taking back a mistake just to trash it (which I already did myself). it felt like to me they were more concerned of making sure I wasn't free loading which offended me even more. Iv worked in serving for 10 years in my younger years and not once would have I made someone give me back a mistake that I made unless they ask me to throw it away. I would let them keep it since we messed up to begin with. AND because I told them I wasn't giving it back (honestly because it was already in the trash) they refused to refund me. I wasn't willing to grab the pasta back out the trash. I'm pissed. They wasted my time, my money, when I had three kids to feed and cared more about wasted product then just doing right by the customer. I will never order from BEAR AMORES again. I approve the quality of this pizza place. I devoured the entire pizza and the crust is a piece of heaven! Hands down to Amore!

This place sucks now! Ever since the two girls left the customer service SUCKS!!! I ordered food at 5:06pm and when I got there at 5:15pm I added on cheese fries and a flounder sandwich--that's all!! Why am I leaving here at 5:56pm then?!!!! You mean to tell me it takes 30 plus minutes to make fries and a fish sandwich??? And to top it off there wasn't even a "thank you for waiting" or "I'm sorry it took extra long" NOTHING!!! This place sucks NOW!! read more

Not good, I ordered a hamburger and a pizza. Pizza was way undercooked and full of oil. Hamburger was aweful, no flavor and way overcooked. Everying went in the trash after one bite. I would of left you a picture of it in the trash, but didn't want to gross anyone out. No more business from us anymore. read more

The food is phenomenal and so are their prices. It came in a metal pan sealed up and pipping hot which was super convenient when it came to serving the food. My only issue is how salty the chicken is. It's very salty. I picked majority of the crust off for that reason, but what I did manage to eat did not disappoint me or my family. Will definitely be back for more. This place is a gem. read more

The pizza sauce was normal - thank God! A lot of DE pizza sauce is sweet which is disgusting! The cheese has a flavor of Parmesan without you even putting any extra on, which I really enjoyed. My only critique would be, I appreciate that it isn't doughy, but you might need a little more to make it crispy and less floppy. The garlic bread was fresh and had great flavor, but came room temperature. As for delivery, the guy was great! Super friendly & quick. It's Friday night and I got my pizza within 45 minutes. I wish I could've done the online ordering, but it didn't recognize my address. When I called, the guy said my address as soon I said delivery, which was kinda creepy since I've never ordered there before, but convenient read more

I love this place. Their pizza specials are easy on the wallet and always tasty. But my favorite find is their fried chicken meals with French fries. The chicken is super crispy and very flavorful. The French fries are awesome. They even gave us garlic bread. So so good! We order our every Friday night and although we do try different restaurants we always come back to Amore! read more

This location is close to my parents, so we end up eating there out of convenience. I feel like it's really hit or miss. Sometimes I love the food, and sometimes it's just okay. Comparing the pizza to anything in the local area (Papa Johns, dominos), it's quite good. But judging on the scale of all pizza I've every tasted, it's just average. The school down the road seems to be keeping the place in business, which is good for them. The service is usually pretty good and they can get the food out quickly. read more

Best cheesesteaks ! Attended very fast and food is always yummy ! Will be going here for a very long time.

Updating my rating to 4 stars. Whatever issues they were having seem to have been sorted. We decided to give them another shot last year and haven't had any issues. For a local place it's got really good pizza and fairly quick delivery. Would recommend for a case of the munchies. read more

One of our favorite places. Delivery is typically right on time and food is great! Today we ordered our pizza and we were told an hour for delivery. Instead, it was delivered in twenty minutes. We ordered a pizza and wings from here for the first time last night. Delivered in about 25 mins - the pizza was piping hot and the wings were nice and crispy! I have nothing but great things to say about this place. We will definitely order again, and their prices were spot on! Happy to know there are truly good pizza places in Bear, DE! Oh yeah, and their homemade (I think) blue cheese is amazing! read more

First thing: the people who work here are super nice and patient. We stopped here on our way down to OCMD so we didn't know anything about it. We took an extensive look at the menu before ordering. Second: Despite all this, I can't give the food more than two stars. To be fair, we didn't have the pizza. We had a Key West wrap, burger, wings, and got free onion rings. The wrap was the best thing and creative. Shrimp, pineapple, lettuce and tomato. My only complaint is that the wrap didn't do its job in holding everything together. The rest of the food was pretty average to below average. The place did its job in holding us over until we got our destination. It wouldn't be a go to place, though, if we lived in the area. read more

Delivery was very slow. We live 5 minutes away and it took more than hour on a Wednesday nite. Not happy.

So it has been awhile since I've ate here..talking way back in the 90's. Tonight was sub nite for the family. I decided upon a Roast Beef with Mayo and Provolone cheese. I am very pleased. The provolone was "REAL" provolone with the old school taste. Yeah not sure how to describe. But the Roast Beef was very generous. 5 people were heard under their chews...going Mmmm good good. Nice Job Amore. read more

I use to like this place a lot. Then came some price hikes. That happens and I dealt with it because the quality was still good. Then I ended up with food poisoning from their mega fries back in 2011. I stopped ordering from amore until today. I decided to try some potato skins. They got the order wrong, and these were the worst looking potato skins I've ever seen. Not sure what happened to this place, but tonight's screwup made me decide to stay away for good. read more

Amore is just the best. It's a local flavor, great prices, and I've never ordered anything I didn't like.
