We visited Fresh Harvest Buffet at the Hard Rock Casino for their Wednesday Night Lobster and overall had a great experience. The weekday buffet price is about $40, and for an additional $20, you get three full-size lobster tails. For those saying that it's not all-you-can-eat lobster it clearly states that on their website. A heads-up: they don't take reservations. We had a party of six, and my brother arrived early to try to reserve a table, but they wouldn't seat anyone until the entire party was present. After we finished dinner around 8pm, we noticed a long line wrapped around outside, yet half the tables inside were empty. That said, the lobster tails were delicious, and the buffet selection was plentiful. There were a variety of stations, including Asian cuisine, Italian, American, and a full dessert bar. My favorites were the clam chowder , beef quesadillas , fresh apple pie, and the seafood pasta. There's also a nice station near the front where they steam your shrimp and lobster tails fresh, which was a great touch. The Asian bar was great with both steamed and fried dumplings, as well as the fried rice and Mongolian Beef. If you like seafood and/ Or Sushi try the Raw Bar and Sushi Bar! The Latin Var has great build your own tacos with freshly grilled tortillas with your choice of meat. The mini empanadas were great. The steak was flavorful but a little tough. We were super hungry after our time at the spa and was super disappointed. The quality here seems to take a downturn after its renovation. We first waited in a long line to get seated.Our server took a long time to check up on us and rarely refilled our drinks. I wishes the raw bar had more items and most of the food was out or too bland like the pasta. The meat was also too overcooked or dry. I was so looking forward to this place after it got renovated. We are not buffet people. Don't get me wrong, the thought of a going to a buffet is awesome because you get to eat lots of different foods. We just don't eat enough to make it worth the money. We dined here on Saturday and Sunday night. We did have reservations at the steak house but decided to cancel and dine at the buffet a second time because we were happy with Saturday nights dinner. It was $50 per person but as people who don't like going to buffets I have to admit this one was worth it, especially for a casino buffet. All the dishes I tried were good and had flavor. Normally when I go to a casino buffet it's like the chefs at the buffet are like failed culinary students or something. Either that or they make the food mediocre so you don't eat a lot. I had crab cakes, crab and asparagus soup, which had real crab, not the imitation crab meat. The salmon was even good. We had other items but I couldn't remember the actual names of all of them. I think this place is better than the noodle bar that is located in the casino. The nice thing is you are in an out and you don't have to wait for your food. I have mixed review because of the sheer time it takes to get a table. It's a bit misleading for your first time if you don't know that there are two lines, one to pay and one to wait for a table. We got half price for our first time and went on a Wednesday lobster night. The lobsters were pretty good, no complaints, the rest of the food wasn't bad but nothing spectacular. Shocked that Fresh Harvest doesn't have a higher rating. We've been twice since they reopened and it's been incredible. I was so pleased that the food was a bit different each time, while there are so staples like the raw bar and Asian food section. The carving stations at the back are amazing. First time they had brisket and the second time the sausage and roast was incredible. There is a bit of a wait but it's worth it once you get inside. If you have Icon X status you get to skip which we did the second time when we took my in laws. It was my mother in law's birthday and the staff brought her a dessert with a candle and sang to her. Everything is clean and the servers clean up the tables quickly in between your meals. The atmosphere is lively but not loud of chaotic. The first impression is bad as you have to battle the smoke filled casino all the way to half of the buffet area. They need to fix the ventilation system for smokers, Vegas casinos have no problems ventilating smoking areas. I personally would not go back I had trouble finishing most of the items off of this buffet. I felt like they would hover over you at the shrimp area as if this was the best item option in the buffet but even that was pretty average. After nearly five years the buffet at HardRock is back. What changed? Pricing - for dinner on a Sunday, it's $55, you'll save $5 with a players card. There weren't crab legs, but prime rib and shrimp. Variety- the Asian station was paired down since the shutdown, there were only two items. Otherwise, it's basically the same layout as before, with Italian, American, and middle eastern options. Best items - the prime rib was great for a buffet as were the grilled chicken skewers. Worst items - avoid the sushi, the salad bar was underwhelming, and the seafood station could have had more variety. Gluten free/vegetarian - for gluten free options they have cookies, salad, and grilled items. Vegetarian items were primarily the pizza and salad bar. The service was very strong for a buffet, my server was fast, refilled my drinks, and checked on my table several times. Jacob Gurlides, (Manager), Thomas Stiehler (Asst Manager) have clearly set high standards so that each patron is anxious to return time and time again. I have encountered more routinely on my at least 10th visit now Mr. Thomas Stiehler who always takes the time to come say hello when ever he recognizes myself or my lady's presence. He along with the staff are intentional on each visit to extend service with a welcoming attitude and smile. We were in town and wanted to try out the buffet inside hard rock the price per person come out to around $50 a person. Honestly, it's not worth it for this price without any crab legs or lobsters if you go on a Wednesday it's lobster day but you have to pay an extra $20 and you can get up to three lobsters each. The dinner price for Wednesday is cheaper I believe. As far as taste goes, the food is not bad. They have steam muscles and clams. We went on a weekend evening. If you sign up for their rewards card, you can get 50% off the buffet and that coupon can last to the end of the year. We didn't know since we ate first before we sign up. Last night some friends and I were at the Hard Rock casino and decided to eat at the Harvest Buffet. WOW, what a big disappointment. The selection was so basic and nothing special. I thought I would try one of the sirloin steaks, over cooked and no taste. Then on to the sushi area, lots of eice in the rool and hardly any fish. Lots of plain vegetables like you would find at the simple country buffet and not seasoned. I was going to try some pasta bolognese, but it was all dry. I did try the pizza ans it was passable. The lobster bisque was my only pleasure, it was fairly good. The salad bar was OK, just some basics. I walked around the buffet several times trying to see something special to try, not happening. Was time for desserts and they looked like a mass production. All in all, they need to go back to the wonderful buffet they has before they closed down a couple of years ago. I gave my parents a gift card for their birthdays and told them to go enjoy the buffet on the days they are there gambling. They usually get $5.00 off when they present their IDs. Today that was not the case. They were told they do not get the $5.00 off unless they pay with cash or debit. This does not include the gift cards!! Of course, this ruined their lunch time. The system for paying to get in is crazy, at best. Once you do get in, there really isn't any one food item to rave about.....liked the lobster bisque. Had it once, at lunch, however, never again. We did, however, eat at dinner time last Wednesday, no lobster bisque, and the only difference I noticed, was brisket, which was delicious. I had crab salad once, it was delicious, and haven't seen it since. The Chinese station could serve fewer buns and more dumplings. The only reason I go to the Italian area at all, is for the lobster, which I find to be very good. You could bring AYCE crab legs back. I expect food I don't get/cook at home, for the price. OK, I need to be fair. I gave Fresh Harvest a pretty bad review when they first re-opened. Been there a number of times since, and I have to say the food has vastly improved. Brisket: fabulous. Well, Went to this buffet for years before it shut down. Was marvelous. Loved FH. Was worth the 1 to 1.5 hour wait in line. Place was always crazy busy. Went again last Saturday in the middle of (what should have been) the lunch rush. Curious. No line. Mostly empty. Hmm. Not so marvelous. At $50 a pop, I expected the an exceptional experience. I did not have one. Most of what made FH exceptional was gone. Wok station - gone. Crab legs - gone. Oysters - gone. Sliders - gone. Pasta station - gone. Chinese food bar - gone. House-made dressings - gone. What was there was almost without exception old, overcooked, and dried-out. What was new was and exciting was the $50 cost on Saturday. FAR more than it used to be. I see why there's no line now. They have dramatically reduced the offerings, drastically lowered food quality, while raising the price. Not sure that's a winning combo. Service was good, however. So based on the first glances me and my partner was hooked and wanted to try so we went to try and of course was greeted nicely. We didn't know where to start because there was so many areas of different cultures to choose from! Every area was clean and looked very nice!
