Apparently, even Dave Portnoy has been here! - sometimes after a long weekend, literally nothing sounds better than a smoothie bowl....and hearing all about the real ingredients and no added sugar was music to my nutrient deprived ears - this is such a tiny unassuming spot with like six seats around the inside, but they still offer seated "for here" food which is awesome for environmental purposes and just for feeling more situated - I got the Italian job, which was basically their normal bowl with a decadent pistachio crème on top. basically made it a dessert (but healthy I swear) - the açai base was super thick! both the Italian and the classic bowl were not grainy, overly icy, or melting too quickly. really had that creamy thick ice cream like texture needed to differentiate a smoothie bowl from a smoothie - the granola provided that needed crunch and the strawberries were perfectly ripe. I added vanilla protein powder to mine and they didn't mix it in...which is hilarious. It was just a protein layer on top. I think they expected me to stir it in, but I was a little surprised by that one!! a few chalky shocked bites .... Maybe they should tell patrons about that - my dining companion also got the mango cleanse smoothie which was like a ginger turmeric punch to the face, but also slightly balanced by the sweetness of the mango. this was also extremely thick (which is rare for such a savory non banana based smoothie) and almost would've been better with the spoon!

I ordered the Green Machine for myself and a Fireman for my hair stylist. The Green Machine was delicious and tasted fresh. I had no wait time. My order was ready in minutes after I paid the cashier. There is limited bar stool seating and no restroom. The cashier was professional and courteous. The open kitchen was nice, you see how clean and fast the employees are working. I'll definitely stop by again when I get my hair done.

My sister is obsessed with Fresh From Hell (rightfully so) and we had an Açaí bowl and juice every morning we were in town. I loved the Double Dare Devil (no peanut butter), the chia, hemp, and flax seeds were amazing additions that I don't usually get! The C+ juice was delicious and the perfect antidote for the cold I was coming down with.

I'm always on a hunt for a healthy green smoothie and found this place one day when I was walking around. It is a small café with not a lot of seating, but the staff was incredibly sweet and service was very quick. My smoothie was delicious and I enjoyed it. It definitely had a fresh fruit and vegetable taste and the best part is, it tasted natural. Definitely had a fresh fruit and vegetable taste and not like other places with overly sweetened smoothies with added sugars.

Really good & extremely fresh. I stopped here for a quick breakfast while in Hells Kitchen and this place didn't disappoint. Staff was very friendly too. Inside is small but does have sitting but there is patio furniture outside so you can enjoy the beautiful weather, which is what I did.

I was looking for a morning pick me up. Looking boba, or something refreshing, so I discovered this place by accident. It's kinda blended in, as it's mixed in with dwelling units. Everything made fresh. I picked WTH... drink delicious drink mixed with some greens and other fruits that I now forgot what's in it. They are friendly, but slooooooow!!! I dont know what system they are using but it's outdated. If they even have one, as the employees had to keep coming to the POS register, to look at orders. Some people were complaining about long wait time. I waited 20 minutes for my drink. It's a very small place, so consider of taking yours to go. They are kinda like Playa Bowls but not as fancy. Despite my long wait time, Ill definitely return, cuz my shake was expensive but good. Friendly employees in NYC, is a plus for me. There's a lot of places in NYC we're places serve a side of NYC attitude and sass and I don't have time for that. 5 stars... I just hope next time they are faster with orders.

Fresh From Hell is a small smoothie and açaí bowl spot in Hell's Kitchen. The restaurant is easy to find. Very small inside. It gets busy and there can be no room to sit and even wait for your order to be ready. They have a lot of options. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about was the granola which we had to exclude from the smoothie bowl because they were not sure that it was gluten free. The staff were friendly. The service was quick. We tried the Green Machine and What the Hell smoothie, as well as the Hawaiian Lover açaí bowl. They were refreshing, thick, creamy, and full of flavor. The fruit was fresh and the coconut was crunchy. The perfect texture combination. Fresh From Hell was a great option for hot summer New York days.

Came here because I wanted to try a new smoothie/açaí bowl place (I always go to juice generation). The place is small with a few seats. Upon entering, I was greeted with blank stares (no hello). The menu posted on the wall doesn't include all the options. I only saw the açaí bowls when I opened the paper menus on the side. I ordered the probiotic booster bowl, which comes with greek yogurt on the top (something I've never tried and I'm a fan now!). Overall, price and taste are similar to other smoothie places but I don't think I'll be coming back because I like my açaí bowls to have the consistency of a smoothie but this one was more icy.

Great flavor & portion but the granola seemed like basic oatmeal... So far in the city, I've tried Tropi Bowls, this place, and Health King. I'd rank them in that order by quality of bowl. That all said... LOVE the grub hub partnership! Soooo helpful! read more

Fun energy, quaint, lots of tempting food options for a healthy foodie. My sister had the BooBerry smoothie and I had the turkey, Brie and apple panini. Fresh From Hell is a go-to lunch spot for so many in this neighborhood, and rightfully so. The food is always fresh and delicious and the folks always so nice. They also recently donated two huge salads for an event at my theater, which were not only really tasty but looked beautiful too! I am grateful that they value local partnerships so much. I ordered the avocado and Swiss sandwich. There was about a teaspoon of avocado spread on the sandwich, it was almost comical. My sandwich was all bread, and a small sliver of Swiss. The avocado wasn't even inside the sanwitch, it was on the edges, as you can see in the pic. And no, there is no avocado under the Swiss, it's just a little bit of sprouts and bread. Delivery took over an hour. Won't order from here again. read more

Like some other people that I spoke to, I heard about this place from Teddysguide. Oh boy, if definitely did not disappoint. I tried one of the acai bowl and what came as a surprise is that the acai was totally different from any others I have tried in the city. It was denser and less watery.. Just like the real stuff. I had been waiting for Fresh from Hell to open to experience it. Their menu consists of sandwiches, juices, soups which change daily and salads. It is a very small space with no table seating and limited counter seating. Their breakfast special consists of either creamy coconut oatmeal or greek yogurt and seasonal fruit. On the day I went, I got a large split pea soup (it needed something???) And the turkey avocado sandwich on italian bread with lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. It was very good. You can also get greens on top of which you can get a choice of three salads. An excellent choice for kosher or vegetarian eaters. I would recommend and return. read more

I started eating here because I was getting really tired of eating at Pret a Manger EVERY DAY. The sandwich selection isnt huge, but they are all really tasty. My favorite is the chicken salad, which comes with red pepper and sprouts (on a good day). You can really taste that all the ingredients are really fresh. I think perhaps because they are new, the smoothie recipes sometimes taste funny, but if you stick with a more basic tried and true recipe, its sure to be good. I like the "what the hell" smoothie with avocado. The salads is probably the most plentiful option. You choose a base and then have a bunch of really good toppings to choose from. If you are a salad fanatic, this is definitely your place. I also hear the coconut milk oatmeal is BOMB. read more

was walking around on a freezing Wednesday looking for lunch and discovered this new looking place on a side street in the 40's. stopped in to give it a try. i got the half sammie, small soup combo for 8.50. chose chicken salad for the sammie, butternut squash for the soup. was a solid portion, all tasted quite healthy, a good "under 10 bucks" lunch option. i'd like the option to get the half sammie + LARGE soup and pay a bit more, but maybe next time they'll have that as a menu / secret menu option in the computer :-) read more

Normally people don't want to write reviews of new undiscovered places out of fear that they'll be discovered and mobbed. This is the opposite--i want more people to find this place so that it stays open and provides a local, healthy food option in this neighborhood. Fresh from Hell has yummy, freshly prepared salads, smoothies, and sandwiches at reasonable price points. To you need to know anything more? For the same price as a bland salad a roni at a place like chop't you could be eating a salad topped with three of their daily revolving side salads, which doesn't make sense but tastes great. What a tiny Hidden Gem! This is the only place I found in the hell hole of Times Square that not only has healthy food, but that has cheap healthy food. Such an amazing find. Super friendly staff and free WiFi too. Delish. Very small with limited seating so best for takeout! read more

So funny, the Place was packed as 3 couples were in. All ladies choose the açaí bowl and all men picked a bagel. All fresh prepared and served quickly. No coffee though, you need to pick that up from the place next door. Highly recommend! read more

My favorite juice/smoothie bar in midtown Manhattan! A tiny space but the staff has added character to it, with the menus, colorful decoration and painted walls, and cool impulse items (eg. Fresh from hell is a local business, operated by two true Hell's Kitcheners, Bryan and Gabriel. Both have been living in Hell's Kitchen for more than 2 decades and love the neighborhood - that's why they decided to open a store that could offer healthy food and drinks right on 47th street, right between the most famous Broadway theaters and the super fun bustle of 9th avenue!

We happened across this place lookin for something green after eating pizza for 2 days straight. It was SO good. Exceeded all expectations which were relatively higher to begin with. We split a salad topped with lentils, beets, and Bruwer sprouts. We liked it so much we decided to try one of their smoothies. After debating between a number of their options we chose the green machine. It was the perfect blend of sweetness/tartness/"greenness". And it didn't hurt that hey "made extra" and gave us 2 smoothies instead of 1. Bryan Ware is passionate about FRESHNESS! The juice bar, smoothies, almond milk and Acai Bowl items are created with love. When asked whether he puts his drinks in bottles he said his creations should be consumed within 30 minutes after purchase.
