Acai bowls are my favorite, and I've tried so many, Cali, Utah, Hawaii... I had high hopes for this place due to the reviews, but it fell short to me. I was mostly disappointed with the size and consistency. Small, and acai was a little thin, I like a thick base. I did love the cacao nibs, but it needed more peanut butter, I think some honey drizzle would have been good. I got some of their date balls and those were delicious!! read more

Great way to start an NYC day. Went there everyday of our Manhattan stay. Fresh ingredients. It's a super small spot though so seating gets really limited. Derive was good and helpful. Great spot. read more

Apparently, even Dave Portnoy has been here! - sometimes after a long weekend, literally nothing sounds better than a smoothie bowl....and hearing all about the real ingredients and no added sugar was music to my nutrient deprived ears - this is such a tiny unassuming spot with like six seats around the inside, but they still offer seated "for here" food which is awesome for environmental purposes and just for feeling more situated - I got the Italian job, which was basically their normal bowl with a decadent pistachio crème on top. basically made it a dessert (but healthy I swear) - the açai base was super thick! both the Italian and the classic bowl were not grainy, overly icy, or melting too quickly. really had that creamy thick ice cream like texture needed to differentiate a smoothie bowl from a smoothie - the granola provided that needed crunch and the strawberries were perfectly ripe. I added vanilla protein powder to mine and they didn't mix it in...which is hilarious. It was just a protein layer on top. I think they expected me to stir it in, but I was a little surprised by that one!! a few chalky shocked bites .... Maybe they should tell patrons about that - my dining companion also got the mango cleanse smoothie which was like a ginger turmeric punch to the face, but also slightly balanced by the sweetness of the mango. this was also extremely thick (which is rare for such a savory non banana based smoothie) and almost would've been better with the spoon! read more

This place can be hit or miss depending on who is making the smoothies, many Mondays ago I got a bunch of smoothies from here (green machine that's usually amazing) and tried out the protein one and they were all watery AF. Super sad how the quality has gone down while prices continue to rise. read more

I'm pretty obsessed with this place. In the middle of Times Square where convenience stores have bottles juices with way too much sugar, it's hard to find a reliable juice/smoothie place. Everything is made to order and is delicious. They're very nice and answer any questions you have. It's a cute shop with about 4 seats inside. I have a punch card because I expect to visit whenever I'm in the area! read more

I ordered the Green Machine for myself and a Fireman for my hair stylist. The Green Machine was delicious and tasted fresh. I had no wait time. My order was ready in minutes after I paid the cashier. There is limited bar stool seating and no restroom. The cashier was professional and courteous. The open kitchen was nice, you see how clean and fast the employees are working. My sister is obsessed with Fresh From Hell (rightfully so) and we had an Açaí bowl and juice every morning we were in town. I loved the Double Dare Devil (no peanut butter), the chia, hemp, and flax seeds were amazing additions that I don't usually get! I'm always on a hunt for a healthy green smoothie and found this place one day when I was walking around. It is a small café with not a lot of seating, but the staff was incredibly sweet and service was very quick. My smoothie was delicious and I enjoyed it. It definitely had a fresh fruit and vegetable taste and the best part is, it tasted natural. Really good & extremely fresh. I stopped here for a quick breakfast while in Hells Kitchen and this place didn't disappoint. Staff was very friendly too. I was looking for a morning pick me up. Looking boba, or something refreshing, so I discovered this place by accident. It's kinda blended in, as it's mixed in with dwelling units. Everything made fresh. I picked WTH... drink delicious drink mixed with some greens and other fruits that I now forgot what's in it. They are friendly, but slooooooow!!! I dont know what system they are using but it's outdated. If they even have one, as the employees had to keep coming to the POS register, to look at orders. Some people were complaining about long wait time. I waited 20 minutes for my drink. It's a very small place, so consider of taking yours to go. They are kinda like Playa Bowls but not as fancy. Despite my long wait time, Ill definitely return, cuz my shake was expensive but good. Friendly employees in NYC, is a plus for me. There's a lot of places in NYC we're places serve a side of NYC attitude and sass and I don't have time for that. 5 stars... I just hope next time they are faster with orders. read more

Came here because I wanted to try a new smoothie/açaí bowl place (I always go to juice generation). The place is small with a few seats. Upon entering, I was greeted with blank stares (no hello). The menu posted on the wall doesn't include all the options. I only saw the açaí bowls when I opened the paper menus on the side. I ordered the probiotic booster bowl, which comes with greek yogurt on the top (something I've never tried and I'm a fan now!). Overall, price and taste are similar to other smoothie places but I don't think I'll be coming back because I like my açaí bowls to have the consistency of a smoothie but this one was more icy. read more

Fresh From Hell is a small smoothie and açaí bowl spot in Hell's Kitchen. The restaurant is easy to find. Very small inside. It gets busy and there can be no room to sit and even wait for your order to be ready. They have a lot of options. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about was the granola which we had to exclude from the smoothie bowl because they were not sure that it was gluten free. The staff were friendly. The service was quick. We tried the Green Machine and What the Hell smoothie, as well as the Hawaiian Lover açaí bowl. They were refreshing, thick, creamy, and full of flavor. The fruit was fresh and the coconut was crunchy. The perfect texture combination. Fresh From Hell was a great option for hot summer New York days. read more

This is a great place to get a smoothie or an acai bowl. A lot of healthy options here. The smoothies we had were delicious. This is a very small place. Not much room inside for sitting around. It has a nice big window facing the school across the street. Best part of all right next-door is an amazing espresso. Shop the best of both worlds in one spot. Got the classic acai bowl through delivery and it was delicious. Packaged well and delivered quickly. The price isn't too terrible either. The classic comes with acai, granola, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, banana, strawberry and blueberries. All the fruit was fresh and sweet. Came here on a sunny afternoon for something to cool down, and was greeted with friendly service. I chose the zingy acai since I was super curious about the lemon in the smoothie. For context, I've had some great acai from when I lived in California, so I do think I'm a bit pickier when it comes to these acai/smoothie places. I thought the smoothie wasn't bad. I really liked the acidity of the lemon in the smoothie but I thought that overall it was kind of grainy. Also, what bugged me was that it is $11 for a smoothie, whereas the place near me just charged $7. I think this place is fine and would like to try their acai bowls, just wish that the prices weren't so high. They have a nice variety on their menu too and many unique drinks! read more

I'm gonna have to offer two separate reviews (I wish Yelp would do this systematically) because the food was outstanding while the operations itself could use some improving. I'll elaborate a bit. We ordered the CLASSIC AÇAI BOWL. It was really really good. No doubt about it. The blend of flavors, the freshness of the fruit, the creaminess of the açaí made this a definite 4.5 stars. The guy at the register was neither warm & fuzzy nor cold. The best way to describe him was "cool and disinterested" perhaps? But once again, he wasn't mean, and that shouldn't be taken for granted, right? So I'd give him like a 3.5 stars. So that right there should warrant like a 4-star review. But the reason I had to drop it to 3 stars is because this is a tiny joint. There were 4 people waiting for their orders when we got in. Another 3 people ordered after we ordered our bowls. By the time we got our bowls handed to us, over 30 minutes had gone by. We were all squished in there like we were on the 1-train going stopped at Times Square. I have no idea what took so long. No one had a large or custom order. It's almost like they went out back to pick the fruit from trees. Wait. Should I give a higher score? Maybe that's why the fruit was so fresh? read more

Found this gem via Yelp on our recent trip to NYC. It wasn't crowded but it's definitely a small interior. Lots of folks came and got theirs to go while we sat to eat. We had 1 smoothies bowl and an oatmeal bowl, with one add in and spent about $27, with tip. It was worth it! The oatmeal bowl was delicious and they had a pistachio crème that I added onto it. So, so good!!! My kiddo had the regular smoothie bowl and it was also delicious. The fruit on both was fresh and ripe and the presentation was beautiful. Service was fast and friendly and it's on our list of saved places now. read more

Since my first visit to the city, Fresh from Hell has been a favorite. I make sure that once I drop off my luggage, I walk to get my favorite acai bowl 'The Kitchen Sink'. Even though the place is very small, most people get their orders to go, making room for the ones that want to savor the delicious and fresh options. Delicious Açaí. The service is quick. They don't have enough space to eat on site, only one high table with 2 high chairs, also one table outside. Best acai bowls in the city. Being plant-based I'm always on the look out for healthy, plant-based options in and out of the city. Fresh from Hell has great acai bowls with delicious toppings. Their acai tastes great, without a bunch of additives (trust me, I can tell) and they top their acai bowls with nutrient-dense toppings (like granola that doesn't have a bunch of added sugar). I do wish they added more acai base to their bowls but it's delicious nonetheless! read more

Not impressed, too pricey for what you are getting. Tomato, basil, mozzarella panini was very skimpy (take a look at my photo) and the basil didn't taste fresh. The city is filled with good panini places, this was really a letdown. The avocado/swiss sandwich on whole grain bread was better and more filling but was still a very ordinary sandwich at this price point. read more

Fresh from hell is a local business, operated by two true Hell's Kitcheners, Bryan and Gabriel. We split a salad topped with lentils, beets, and Bruwer sprouts. We liked it so much we decided to try one of their smoothies. I liked it so much I try to visit the various locations when I'm nearby. I can't wait for better weather and my energy and confidence to be restored so I can return. In the meantime, I recently attended a St. Patrick's Day PopUp. After taking two bottles of Pressed Veggie Juice home I found creative ways to include the juice in my meals. I get a lot of compliments saying Yelpers never thought of substituting juice for water in oatmeal or cream of wheat. I hope you like my creative Pressed Juice meals. I'm recommending.

The service was good, friendly, and fast. Large selection of cold pressed juices, protein shakes, smoothies, and açaí bowls. Love the various shots of cold pressed juices that are sold as a single shot. There are tons of additional add on's., to further enhance your smoothie or juice. Definitely check out this location, you will not be disappointed! The atmosphere is fast, efficient, and great service.
