I got a cheese filled croissant here and it was heavenly! The price was great for the area since most places changed $5+ for a croissant so getting a croissant with a filling for under $5 was great. The cheese filling was on the sweeter side and the croissant was generously filled. I will be retuning to this cafe when I'm back in nyc. We found this amazing deli restaurant near our hotel in time square. What a gem! Everything is made fresh to order with real ingredients except for the pastries which taste fresh as well but the food and smoothies are so good!! We found ourselves coming here for breakfast each morning and late night sandwiches each night. Customer service was so personable and pleasant! Very clean! Went in and ordered around 1015. It was pretty busy. Didn't expect to wait 30 minutes for mediocre coffee and dry as cardboard baked goods to be taken out of the window and put in a paper bag then handed to me. The ladies behind the counter were very nice, but the service was moving at the speed of smell. Will look for something better tomorrow and hopefully worth a half hour wait. Service was so slow my diabetic spouse had a sugar crash while we were waiting on our order. The lady preparing the food was nice, and food was decent. However, the man working on the cashier charged $3.99 for the Egg & Roll, despite the menu price listing as $2.99. When I asked him what the $1 charge was for, he said the roll is $1, which is untrue as the menu literally lists the Egg & Roll as $2.99. No place in New York would list out only "Eggs" as $2.99. In short, the food is not bad, but be prepared to get nickled and dimed here, and incur some "hidden" charges. This is consistent in other reviews on Yelp and Google here. read more

Me and my partner shared the chicken pesto wrap and (at the recommendation of the owner) the espresso muffin. They were both lovely! The wrap was very flavorful, and the muffin was delicious and surprisingly moist. We had to wait a bit for the wrap but weren't in a hurry and were very much occupied by the muffin so didn't mind. So I originally gave this coffee shop a 5 star review BEFORE myself and 4 other friends received their coffee drinks from Apple. We originally went in there for basic black coffee, for which he convinced us it was "old coffee" and "didn't want to serve us bad coffee," so instead offered us to do espresso or lattes. We naively agreed to it as we appreciated his honesty about the regular coffee. He was quite friendly, conversational and upbeat with us, individually making all of our drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, espresso). As we waited on our drinks, he asked us to write him a positive review on Google, which we did. After we all received our drinks, it was time to pay. There was a clear sign above the register indicating prices for lattes, espresso, etc, which averaged about $2-3 for small sized cups. When we went to pay, he charged us each about $5-7 per drink, which we were all confused about. When we asked about the huge difference in price, he explained that due to the pandemic that the prices had changed. However there was no sign indicating that the prices had changed or that sign at the register was no longer valid pricing. We all paid double for our drinks, because yes, we understand covid likely negatively impacted his business-- but it doesn't justify him not telling us upfront, having us write a "good review" for him when he was omitting information about the cost of our drinks. We wouldn't have any problem paying that cost happily, without complaint, had he just told us upfront. But we felt taken advantage of. He went from telling us he was the owner of the shop to then saying "Well if you're not happy, I'll call the owner and ask him to refund you guys" which again, seems super deceitful... He just lost business with a group of 5 women, as we will never be returning to his shop, and we have now adjusted our reviews. read more
