I was immediately greeted by the two guys behind the bar who were so welcoming and brought me a complimentary cucumber salad to start. It was fresh and tangy and honestly the perfect reset after a long day. Of course I ordered a lychee martini right away. They make sake-tinis here so they are actually made with sake instead of vodka and it was so freaking good. Slightly sweet, super smooth and definitely on the stronger side in the BEST way. I started with the yellowtail with serrano. The fish was insanely fresh and buttery!! The serrano gave it just the right amount of heat without overpowering it. I also ordered a few pieces of nigiri which came in pairs: yellowtail, tuna belly, and salmon. Every single one just melted in my mouth. You could really taste the quality. I tried the salmon and avocado hand roll too and this was one of my favorite bites of the night. The salmon was so silky and the avocado perfectly creamy. The seaweed had that fresh snap to it...I love that it adds a little texture and saltiness that balances everything out. Handrolls are so simple but so satisfying!!
