Ventured out to Kaneohe intending to go to the mall to eat. On the way, husband saw Fresh Catch and mentioned how much he enjoyed it. I said I'd never been and neither had my daughter so we decided to give it a try. Inside was a tad chaotic with people in a line to order at the register. A worker then explained to order your poke first (if you were ordering poke)then move along to order plate lunches (there were two lines). There aren't any lines on the floor, area roped off, or instructions on a wall to explain how to order so it was a little confusing if you're not familiar with the process. They also had some red velvet desserts next to the register that looked good. We decided to dine-in upstairs. Paid for our food, got a pager, was told to go upstairs, then come back when our pager beeps. The dining room is newly renovated and absolutely beautiful with open windows showcasing the beauty of Kaneohe. One gal was tending the upstairs and was very friendly and warm. She brought us cups of ice water and explained how they're waiting on some other items before they can open up the dining room. It's extremely clean and spacious. There's a long bar and she said they can hold private parties, too. If I lived on that side I'd consider it for a birthday party or small celebration. Husband and I shared the furikake salmon and daughter had the garlic chicken. The salmon was fresh, a decent size, moist, and flavorful with two scoops rice. However, the surprising star of the day was the garlic chicken-it stole the show! The chicken was tender, crunch was perfect; as well as the yummy sauce. Hands down beats any garlic chicken we've ever had. Husband said he could eat it every week! The garlic chicken came with mac salad which was also very good. EVERYTHING went well! Food was amazing. The bar upstairs was beautiful & the bartender couldn't have been nicer. We were able to taste ALL the poke before ordering. Mac Salad was 2nd best on the island. Seared ahi was legendary. Garlic chicken was perfectly done with a slightly sweet crunch. As for the pound of spicy ahi - I'm glad I brought to share because salt was heavy on dis one. Either that or it wasn't lomi'd enough in da poke. I caught a pocket of Hawaiian salt and my tongue was pau - but everything else was Ono. I will still come back but I'll ask for a sample next time. Fresh Catch has a new location In Kaneohe. We picked up lunch today and the place looks really nice. Eventually there will be a dine in restaurant on the second level that is coming soon. We ordered a spicy ahi poke bowl, fried chicken plate and Dorito salad. The fish is fresh and so delicious. The Dorito salad was yummy with their special dressing. However we waited over 30 minutes for the fried chicken plate. Apparently there was a huge order before us so it took longer than expected. The staff was very apologetic and even gave me a complimentary small container of ahi limu poke which was ono. There is a small dine in area if you choose to dine in. The blue colored walls, pictures and wall decor are really nice. Can't wait for the upstairs to be completed. read more

Food is great, no argument there. Service has genuinely gone down since they remodeled. If you go in, they're generally nice enough unless you try to go in after 6pm (their online posting AND voicemail says they close at 7pm). They've always been especially rude when interacting via phone call. On 08/12/2025, I called 18 times from 6:30pm and they finally answered at 6:42pm. Lady at the front said the doors close at 7, but they're out of food by 6:45pm (again, I'd been calling since 6:30pm). Then was hung up on once the information was relayed. If they need to close at 6pm, they should put that on their Google listing and change the information properly, instead of acting rudely because a customer wants to go and get food when the restaurant claims to be open. read more

Wowowow! The spicy ahi katsu is unlike anything I've ever tried before. How do they get it so crispy?! And yet so tender?? It's just a mystery. The sauce on top comes PACKING with flavor. If you like strong salty-creamy flavors with your katsu, you would love this. The poke was decent but nothing crazy so I'd pass on that next time. I ordered a half pound of the spicy ahi and another half pound of the hawaiian blend, each with an extra scoop of rice and here are my thoughts: - Spicy ahi: This is my go-to order at any poke shop and I was really disappointed with this. It was so mayo forward, lacked spice, and overall felt like it was ahi covered in mayo. Couldn't finish it :-( Knocking a few stars off for this disappointing poke flavor - Hawaiian blend: This was super super good! The flavors were so reminiscent of Korean dishes and instantly made me think of spicy rice cakes. Not sure if they put gochujang or gochugaru in it, but it was sooo good and I would 100% come back to get this. Would've been great if we knew beforehand and saved on Uber We ordered their spicy ahi poke by the pound, a side of white furikake rice and their spicy ahi katsu which is a popular item based on reviews here. The spicy is ahi is good but nothing special compared to other competing poke places. I would say they do it textbook perfect though. The spicy ahi katsu is an interesting item since I feel like we don't often see it in other places. It's huge with two servings of katsu. The only downside is I feel like the sauces are overwhelming and this paired with the poke might give you flavor fatigue. The great news is, both orders only cost us $35 which I think is such a good deal for fresh seafood! I know one spot that can easily charge you $35 for MP of a small amount of poke. Is it the best poke in Oahu? Probably not. Would we eat here again? Maybe if we're in the area and we happen to be close by but we wouldn't go out of our way for it. read more

Not the freshest fish. The fish tasted fishy! Yes it didn't taste fresh. Like it's been there all for two days. Shoyu was too sweet. Like if you're masking the fishy taste. It was also slimy not good. We got four different kinds. 1) spicy Hawaiian- tasted fishy. 2) smoke Tako over cooked or smoked and it was hard and chewy. I have wanted to try this place since I first saw them featured on Triple D. I have heard from many people that they have some of the best poke and plate lunches but it took me till 2025 to finally get to try these guys food. I was not disappointed. I just wish I had not waited this long to try them out. I mean I do live on Maui so it's not like I can just drive over. I have tried food from people that used to work for chef Reno but I wanted to try it from the source. It was just as good as I expected. We tried out the Shoyu Wasabi Poke from the case and then we also ordered the Pastele Stew Plate which came with a scoop of white rice and a scoop of potato Mac salad. The potato Mac was awesome I normally don't like most mac or potato Mac salads. I loved this one really reminded me of how was when i was a kid. The Pastele Stew was good not the best I have ever had but was good. Now the Poke was Incredible some of the freshest I have had in a long time. The flavor was good I would have liked a little more wasabi but that is just me. My girlfriend had the Katsu Ahi and Garlic Chicken which came with rice and potato Mac salad. Hers was incredible I will definetly be getting that next time. My mom got the Teriyaki Salmon. She really enjoyed it and said it was really flavor full and cooked perfectly. My daughter got the ahi and Smoked Meat Combo plate and that was really good. The interior is decorated nicely with a lot of ocean themed stuff and lots of pictures of local events whic I believe they support. I love supporting local business like this especially when they are killing it. The service was very good, they were great about explaining everything to us even though we are local was nice to know that if we were not they were happy to tell us how fresh the fish was and how everything was prepared. Me and my family will definetly be back and I highly reccomend this place to anyone who wants to try local fish the way locals like to eat it. True, local poke but their service was a major miss! We stopped by to get some FRESH poke, only to be serviced by some rude employees (two ladies who were both pretty rude). Even the gentlemen before us apologized ahead of time by telling them "sorry, this is my first time here and I'm not sure what to order". We both said "thank you" and nothing... I've heard about this place from several different ways and I also seen it on an episode of DDD so been wanting to try for a while now. The place is in a more modern building and there are a couple locations. I decided I would order just straight up poke like real Hawaiian style. I got 1/2 lb. both of Hawaiian style poke and Hawaiian style spicy poke. Both were very good as the Hawaiian style poke had a very rich and strong flavor which definitely could of used some rice or salad to cut down the rich flavor some. Think it has shoyu and oyster sauce in it so it's on the saltier side. I'd like it more if the sauce was thinned out some. It would be good for salad as no dressing would be needed. The spicy poke was very good and I like the chopped up Ogo (seaweed) mixed in the poke as it adds a little texture. It's not very spicy and would like more of a kick. The fish itself is definitely fresh as the name implies and quality of the cubes were excellent as it melts like butter as you eat. I'd like to return to try the other kinds of poke along with some of their daily specials. There was no dine-in due to Covid so just take your to-go order and eat it in the car. read more
