Food is delicious but I am wondering about the service. I ordered a well done lamb chop and instead got pink in the meat. Waiter came back after speaking to the manager and all the offered me was a desert not correcting the order and getting it right for $40 dollars a lamb chop plate. I think I would be tempted to eat here if for no other reason than the wonderful garlic dipping sauce they provide to everyone on arrival for dipping the bread. So we started with our favorite Greek appetizer which is Kasseri cheese flamed at the table and it's called Saganaki Opa! I simply have no words to describe how yummy, delicious and wonderful this is. It's Mr. Picky's favorite appetizer. The flambé is done with Brandy and then they squeeze fresh lemon juice all over it. The problem with it is that it's so wonderful... And that cast the poor stuffed mushrooms we ordered into the shade and made us figure we wouldn't bother ordering those again. Next we decided to share a lasagna. I could taste the nutmeg in the Bechamel sauce, I absolutely know it was there, and of course nutmeg can be a real secret to a winning lasagna. Anyway, it tasted pretty good but could've done with a little bit more sauce and next time I will request that. A side salad accompanied the lasagna, but we decided not to eat that because I wasn't in love with the dressing and, more importantly, I cannot bring myself to continually fight with frisée and other wild greens that don't go in the mouth easily the way regular lettuce does LOL :-). For dessert we ordered Cannoli and Tiramisu and on the latter I asked that it be served "wet" because I think a good Tiramisu should always be a little bit on the soggy side. :-). Don't you? Ok, First off let me Thank the restaurant for the come baaaaccck because they showed out! We went Valentine's Day for Dinner had reservations for their restaurant Ravens Nest but was referred here by staff when we called to confirm. I'm not even going to get into details but our experience wasn't good at all ‍We were compensated and offered to come back and try Brunch so we did! Brunch was definitely percent worth it! The food was sooooo good!!!!! The drinks top tier! Lavender and Pineapple together Whew we had two Martinis and two of the Mimosas.... Also Pineapple and Lavender! The Atmosphere was different like they told us and we were able to enjoy the experience and food better than before! We tried everything together and that Salmon melted on my mouth The steak as well! Everything had so much flavor we didn't need any condiments! Portions were nice too because we couldn't finish! We took home the rest! Went here for my BFs birthday and we both were very impressed! They've set up and very nice patio seating area, with lights. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Now, THE FOOD is out of this world delicious!!! Our apps were; firecracker shrimp with mango dipping sauce and stuffed shells, both were very good. My entree; wild caught halibut over saffron rice with grilled asparagus. His entree; pork chop with mango sauce over garlic mash with grilled veggies. THIS WAS THE BEST PORK CHOP WE'VE EVER HAD!!! food is legit Sicilian with Greek overtones. Server was amazing and attentive without being overbearing. The Gorgonzola bread is short of a religious experience. The lasagna is enough for two. The meatballs are the size of a baseball. We've driven by this restaurant many times assuming it was Mediterranean cuisine when in fact it's combination of both Italian/greek. Absolutely the best dinner we had in Lancaster!!! We were a party of 11 from Hawai'i looking for a place to eat where we could relax and enjoy entertainment, food and drinks. Highly recommended by the locals and even better a neighboring restaurant. We decided to give it a try. Gave the restaurant a call about an hour before we wanted to eat and they were happy to take us. Our table was already waiting when we got there. Menus were very detailed and a full variety for everyone. Our server Lenny was quick and attentive. Explained the specials very well and answered all questions we had. Our food came out quick and hot. I know ur wondering why I said hot but we've been to a restaurant and the food was cold. Lol! Highly, highly, highly recommended. It's truly an episode out of Gordon Ramsey's show. Dead muscles, which smelled awful was served to us. Their Italian wedding soup was shocking. I actually had to clarify that this was in fact so. One star to five stars? Well, the rating is based on an individual visit and on THIS visit, Fresco II deserves the full 5. We gave them a try again for the special corned beef & cabbage meal, with the Mulligan stew, bread and desert. Wow! Just wow. The food was fantastic! The Mulligan stew had very tender chunks of meat, potatoes, carrots, and the sauce was just right; not too thick and not runny. The corned beef flavor was outstanding; Perfectly sliced, tender, and just melted in my mouth. The cabbage, carrots, and potatoes were cooked exactly right - not mushy nor "al dente" (or underdone). Serving size was probably a little more than normal, but as a big guy I liked that. We again took our meals to go and the food was packaged very well and securly. We haven't had the cannoli or tiramisu yet - we're too full from dinner. Changes made were definitely noticed, and we'll certainly be back. Looking forward to trying other menu items. read more

We were in the mood for exploring a few days ago. I noticed a number of vehicles in the parking lot of this restaurant so decided to check it out. The moment we walked in I'll admit I felt a bit underdressed. The place had chandeliers and soft lighting throughout, it's quite beautiful! The hostess asked if we had reservations and we told her we were first timers. We heard music coming from a room to our right. I turned and saw a small stage, I immediately asked, "they have live music here? How cool!" We asked the hostess if we could go into that room. She said, "sure go ahead if there are seats available. If not, come back and see me so we can find you a spot in another area." How sweet of her. We walked into the room and there is a bar to the left side and a stage to the right and multiple seating through out. They also have a patio area where people could go out and enjoy a meal and have some fresh air. The only seating that we could get was near the bar, but it was good enough if it meant we could enjoy some music with our meal. Their menu had so many options ro choose from, it was slightly overwhelming. Luckily we had a great bartender who walked us through some options and made some excellent suggestions we would have never chosen. Thanks Mike! We ordered fish and chips, spicy calamari and pizza (photos attached). The food was so terrific!We were very pleased with the meal and atmosphere. Moments after finishing our food the older semi retired crowd started trickling away and a younger crowd arrived. To our surprise the placed turned into a night club. What??!! The restaurant staff started moving tables around and a DJ was brought in. The lights dimmed and the dancing started. We went with a large group, and service wasn't the best. Foods were messed up. I'm mainly giving the 3 stars for the service. The chef messed up on 3 dishes and forgot ingredients and when we told them they said "the owner said she was right there with him(the chef) and the chef said he put the items in it" In other words calling customers liars. Horrible management skills. The "owner" kept coming to our table thanking us for coming out, okay awesome. But as soon as there was a problem the "owner" was never seen just the waitresses being put in the middle. Now in their defense they offered a free desert for messing up the items. The seafood taste bad - not fresh at all, even though in their menu it's labeled "fresh". Then their soda machine is not working. No fizzle. I have refrained from making any negative reviews any where. Only because we loved it there. However, I must make a formal complaint against your manager and how you operate. We used to love to settle at your establishment at least two to three times a week. We loved everything on the menu. We have been coming often for a good two to three months and have had no intention on stopping, until recently. We were finally able to get away and unwind like we usually do. We sat and enjoyed the evening for a good TWO HOURS. When we asked for the check your manager appeared at our table, in the middle of everyone, and said very rudely with a smug look on her face, "On October the 19th you guys skipped out on your tap and you need to pay it!" According to your manager, on camera, it showed my fiancé and I skipped out on payment; supposedly. We were appalled!! Of course we're wondering what she was taking about and we insisted that we hadn't! My account showed that we paid a $125 bill on October 19th. Your manager then became loud and with a waitress next to her, both standing over us, insisted we were lying and that we needed to pay the tab. The manager then stated that she didn't want us to be frazzled by the bill!! I became extremely upset!! She made it appear as though, in front of the entire crowd, that we skipped out on an enormous bill and that she didn't want to scare us by the amount!! As if I couldn't afford to pay the bill... After further thought, through the back and forth of your two employees, I began to remember the night of October 19th. We had in fact paid our bill. However, we had stayed a little longer and continued our conversation with the musicians you had that night; we decided to order two drinks. We must have chatted for a good 20 minutes and decided to leave, forgetting we had ordered them. It takes your staff a good 20-30 minutes to bring drinks out. If I had remembered that I had ordered drinks I would have politely cancelled the order. I would have never simply left. We truly forgot. And are extremely apologetic of that fact. So, the bill we "skipped" out on was only $18 dollars and we never had the pleasure of enjoying them. Both your manager and waitress LIED and said we were served. We were not!! I paid my tab of $18 for dinks I never received because apparently, you take that money from the waitress/waiters paycheck! Straight from your managers mouth! This is highly unethical and against the law! Your manager cleared stated, "you ordered them so you need to pay for them, whether you drank them or not!" I reminded her, the drinks were never even brought to our table. She continued to roll her eyes and say she didn't care. Your manager wanted to make a spectacle of herself and of my fiancé and I for no good reason. It could have all been handled inside. A polite conversation in a polite and non-threatening way. Without the onlookers or the altercation. I am extremely upset. Your manager does not carry herself in a pleasant manner at all! There are a lot of us regulars that feel the same way. I believe Leah was present for the conversation that took place near the register. Your manager handle herself poorly even in front of her. She did not settle the altercation in a way an owner should. I don't care about paying for an $18 dollar bill of drinks I never received. I do care about the way I was treated and how the situation was handled. Especially finding out you don't even follow the law! read more

This was our first time eating at this restaurant. Great experience from the start with the waiter Victor being so personable and welcoming, and even had us laughing as soon as we sat down! He was also very accommodating as my husband wanted to watch the football game in the bar area. We started out with appetizers, the house garlic bread and Greek platter. The garlic bread was so buttery and flavorful. The Greek platter had something for everyone, and there was plenty to feed the five of us. My husband ordered the gluten-free pizza and was very happy. I'm not sure why the menu says it's unavailable. It is available. My grandpa ordered the salmon Florentine. My son ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta. And my daughter ordered the cheese ravioli. The owner/chef Lenny was very friendly and personable and kind enough to customize a pink sauce for my daughter's pasta. I ordered the Greek Village salad, which had delicious flavor. everybody absolutely loved their food! All the portions are large and enough to take home for leftovers. The ambience was wonderful and we could sit and talk and enjoy being with our family. We ate there on a Sunday evening and they had a gentleman who was playing live acoustic guitar and singing, beautiful voice, and it made everything perfect! We will definitely be back again when we visit my grandpa who lives in Quartz Hill! Oh, and we celebrated my grandpa's birthday and they brought out cannolis with a candle and sang to him. The cannolis were the best cannolis I've ever had! And Victor makes the best margaritas! Thank you Fresco II for making such a wonderful memorable evening for our family! Service is super slow, waited about 30 minutes just to order. 45 minutes into our arrival, all our drinks are empty and our server is nowhere to be seen. Our table has water between the glass and the table causing the glass to slide everywhere. One hour ten minutes later and our food finally arrived. The kids pizza was undercooked and the dough was raw. The $60 ribeye lacked flavor. Kabobs served on a platter which is leaking everywhere. Lamb chops were not cooked to order (medium) and came out seared. Pizza finally came back 15 minutes later and they ensured it wasn't raw (burnt). My husband and I are former Valley residents and are here for a few days for a family event. It's nice to see all the new (to us) restaurants. After driving around we decided to try Fresco. The moment we walked in two hostesses asked if we had a reservation.... And then told us it would be a 35 minute wait. We asked if we could sit at the bar and she said the bar top only. They only had six places at the bar, all taken but plenty of open tables. We walked back out to the hostess to ask if we could sit at one of the tables... this seemed to confuse her for some reason. She said she had to ask someone (?)... Just so you know the restaurant was not busy.... There was one table that we could see in the dining room and I would say the bar was maybe half full. There were plenty of staff as well. So the hostess came back and sat us at a table.... Someone ( not sure if she was a server or bus person ) came over and asked if we wanted water, which she brought and for the 15-20 minutes we sat there not one person acknowledged us. I made eye contact with a couple of the staff but nothing. I looked at my husband , he looked at me and we got up and left. Not one person said a word to us. There was no way I was going to spend $$$ there and apparently they didn't care. We ended up going to The Yard House and had fantastic dinner and drinks.....from the moment we walked in hostess , server, atmosphere awesome! I'll review them separately. The flavor was definitely better than the reviews but I do think it was overpriced for the portion size. I had the seafood pasta, my fiancé had the Greek chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. My Mom had the lobster ravioli and we shared a bbq chicken pizza, stuffed mushrooms, and gorgonzola bread. The shrimp in my seafood pasta were perfect but the scallops and calamari were chewy as they were over cooked. The chicken was good but could've been more crispy but the mashed potatoes were extremely delicious. The lobster ravioli were the least desirable of everything but wasn't "bad". The BBQ chicken pizza was 5 stars along with the Gorgonzola bread. All in all it wasn't a bad experience but a few minor tweaks and this could be a 5 star location. read more

Just came to Fresco 2 to celebrate our 21 year wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was beyond welcoming. I had the Greek Kabob and it was amazing the flavors were on point. My husband had the Seared Salmon and he loved it, it left him speechless. Our server Eric was very helpful, wonderful attitude and attentive. He really is the best server we've had in a very long time. Hope you all enjoy your next meal as much as we did! read more

I use to love the atmosphere and food, but I see there has been a change in the past few years. I use to love feeling this was a place for a special occasion, but I see where they have made the place seem cheapen by putting neon lights "OPEN" and banners with advertisment about their meals. They added stereo speakers in the main dinning room to hear the bar singer. Kids crowed in using straws as spit wades. I can overlook plenty but the last few times I was there the food was way over salted, and I love salt. These are simple fixes. The place is beautiful, I hope they choose to bring back this place to a nicer scale. read more

My experience with Fresco 2 is probably the worst dining experience I have ever seen. I have worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for over 15 years, 8 as executive chef and 9 as a Gm. And I have never seen or experienced service like this. I decided to give this place a shot for Valentines Day which is also my anniversary. My reservation was at 630 pm I arrived at 615. after about 45 minutes of waiting for my reserved table and noticing other people that arrived later then me be seated I decided to approach the hostess stand. The young lady told me that no one had made her aware that I was here for the reservation, which clearly I checked in right when I walked in. She quickly apologized and had me seated right away so finally I was seated at 715 for my 630 reservation now please mind you that yes it was busy but clearly not that busy. After being seated our server came to take our orders and we had some questions about the menus which she could not answer. We decided to go with the option available for a party of 2 and it clearly says each person chooses one app each, one one soup or salad and one entree for $150. The server was insisting that it was as a couple we choose one salad one app then 2 entrees but the math didn't add up and I asked her if she could please double check with the manager. She then came back and said "ok I'll give you that one you were right" no harm done so we gave her our order and that was that. An hour later our salads or soup and apps have not arrived. And neither had our server to come check on us. I saw her standing back by the bar just having a grand old time chatting with the bar tender. I waved her down and asked for our apps and salads are coming she apologized and said the kitchen was a little backed up then said she is waiting for it to all be ready so she could bring it all out at once. So now I am questioning if this young lady has any service experience at all. So I asked her well we would like to have our appetizers and salads prior while we are waiting for our entrees if that is possible. She agreed then sped off I began to notice everyone around us was receiving there food late but none the less still at-least receiving there food. Finally at about 845 we receive our apps and salad and the food was delicious I can at-least say that. Now we are waiting for our entrees and about 930 the place is clearing out and we are almost the last ones there again I look for my server and of course she is standing over by the bar chatting with the bartender so I wave her down and tell her to just give me the check. I receive my check and my food I had recieved were in there. The spinach dip and fried shrimp and pear salad but also all kinds of alcoholic beverages were on there that I did not order aswell. My wife and I do not consume alcohol at all what so ever so I I showed the server she apologized and went to the computer and removed it all. Once I was able to pay I was approached by the manager finally for the first time through the whole 3 hours and here I thought she was finally coming over to explain and be hospitable but no she did none of that she plain faced told me that the computers were down that I needed to sign this waiver so that when it was back up they could charge my card and I was just dumb founded. What a joke of a place is this. Never in my life have I seen or ever heard of service like this I have been trying to find a way to contact the owner because being a business owner myself I want him to know how things are being handled in his establishment. Not one time was I ever approached by a manager to help smooth the situation not to mention it was like no one even cared about my experience . Needless to say my wife and I walked out never eating our dinner and still having to pay full price for service and food that took us 3 hours to get when we could have paid a quarter of the price at a Taco Bell and would have received better service I really hope this was a one time thing and I hope this server receives a chance to get better trained for future holidays I'm hoping someone will contact me before they charge my card for this experience aswell because I was not happy at all what so ever. read more
