Grilled Artichoke
Ane V.

Came here for my birthday dinner. My SO made a reservation, but it wasn't really needed - the place was pretty empty when we arrived. The server let us choose our own table, so we picked one with a nice view of the dining area. Service was relaxed and gave us time to decide. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Kabob, and my SO got the chef's special - Chicken with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. We started with the Grilled Artichoke appetizer, and wow - it was amazing! So flavorful and satisfying, we practically went into a food coma. Unfortunately, the Chicken Kabob was a letdown. I expected something better, especially after such a strong start. Overall, great appetizer, decent service, but the main dish didn't quite deliver.

Went to Frescos, enjoyed our dinner.. And the entertainment was superb! Daphne made it so enjoyable. She plays an array of different songs. Fresco, you hit it out of the park hiring Daphne. What an awesome addition to your establishment. We will definitely going back.. For dinner, and that awesome entertainer!

Here for a retirement party on Wednesday. We came during the week in the evening and it wasn't even packed. We had reservations for a large party and the space was great. My husband ordered the fire shrimp as an appetizer and the ribeye dinner as his main entree. I on the other hand ordered their caprese salad and calamari. I also ordered a Cadillac margarita from the bar. It was a nice size and very tasty. The food did take a long time and like I stated it wasn't even crowded. For instance a guest in our party ordered some fries. It took approximately 1 hour for it to be delivered to our table. But all in all the food was very tasty and delicious. The servers were great and so was the bartender. I just feel like they were most likely under staff. They only had a bartender, one server, and only God knows how many were in the kitchen. Honesty, I do recommend this place and thank you Fresco's.

Awesome talent doing custom covers.

Excellent salmon, veggies are good. The old fashions were delicious. Music talent doing his own versions of covers was a real cool. Our server Kaylee was a sweetheart.

Greek stuffed mushrooms and Mykonos meatballs

We came here for a nice Saturday evening dinner. We walked in and the place wasn't so packed, but the wait for a table was long. And then another long wait for some service. Or maybe I was just hangry. For appetizers, we had the Greek stuffed mushrooms and the Mykonos meatballs (these were the size of baseballs). Both were very tasty and filling. Our main dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious. We ordered the angel hair pasta with tomatoes and basil as well as the seared salmon that came with a sizable portion of baked salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies. Oh so good. Great atmosphere and amazing food! However, the speed and attentiveness of the staff could use some improvement. I would still recommend Fresco II.

FRESCO II BANQUET ROOM

Welp! They did it again! This restaurant is amazing. So home like. I appreciate the awesome service and great atmosphere. If you've never been here please give this place a chance. We hosted a party for my boss's birthday and we were able to make a custom menu with all of our favorites. I wasn't able to take pictures this time but I got some photos of the room before anyone showed up! This room is huge. I asked the server and she said they can sit up to 65 guests comfortably and I believe it! They also do private events to rent the whole restaurant! Amalia and Lenny were amazing! Thank you again to the amazing staff! We'll be Back!!!

An Antelope Valley institution for over 20 years, Fresco II is a popular spot for gourmet Mediterranean cuisine! The restaurant is beautiful, inside and out. The service on the other hand was fairly pedestrian and amateurish. Not really fitting for an establishment of this caliber with all the white tablecloths and whatnot. For dinner, I ordered a dish called "Mama G's". A Sicilian style meatball, and spicy Italian sausage in marinara sauce, served over spaghetti. I just loved the name of this dish! The meatball was outstanding. Large, plump, tender and tasty. A nice amount of delicious Italian sausage that really wasn't all that spicy. The pasta was cooked at least 2 minutes past al dente unfortunately. The plate was excessively sauced and not served quite hot enough. For $27 it should have come with bread service. Overall an enjoyable visit. I look forward to trying some of their HH specials the next time I'm in Palmdale.

Fire Pasta with different ingredients! In my opinion it's a fail!

The color of this restaurant put me at ease. I could've stayed for a while if I had the time. I got the chicken gyro and lemon chicken soup. They're both delicious! And gluten free. Holy cannoli, the gluten free pita bread is phenomenal! It's not too dry like most gf breads. And most importantly, the heart of the Greek café is the staff. Two waitresses helped me. They were both genuinely kind and warm. Even though I was just getting take out a waitress brought me water while I was waiting for my order to be ready. She was so friendly! The portions are generous my lunch was huge and I'm so here for that! I feel like I could easily split that with someone. I will absolutely be coming back with friends. Thank you Greek Cafe!

The meat and flavor was good, but it didn't work as a pizza. It needed a meltier cheese to bind everything. Every time I'd pick up a slice, the toppings would just tumble off. The fries were excellent. The staff was very attentive with refilling drinks and very friendly. The decoration is cute.

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask…read more All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with some indoor limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers.  COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination.  While I was here eating my food in this establishment a month ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. But this isn't strictly enforced. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is incredibly small. They have valet parking. I urge you to park on the street. However, be wary of the signs. On one side, there is a no parking sign on Wednesdays from 12PM - 3PM. On the other side, it says no parking on Thursdays from 12PM - 3PM. Basically don't go there on Monday and Tuesday (they are closed) and Wednesday and Thursdays for horrible street parking. It is a shame that a cute mom and pop restaurant closed. I am sad that I did not know about it sooner. I would have came more frequently. They have been opened since 1948. Very impressive! Food: I ordered a baklava, spanakopita, and gyro sandwich. The house made baklava went perfect with my coffee the next day. A delicious start to a new day. The baklava combines layers of honey-soaked crisp phyllo pastry and a cinnamon-scented nut mixture with pistachios, walnuts, and hazelnut. To me, nothing rivals homemade baklava. The texture of crispy and flaky phyllo pastry. The crunchy filling. And the warm honey syrup. It is all I want in a dessert / breakfast. The spanakopita was very delicious and filling. This spanakopita had sauteed spinach, feta cheese and seasonings, all wrapped up in phyllo dough and baked until golden brown and crisp. It's the perfect blend of spinach, cheese, onions, and herbs in a buttery crust. It was very savory. The gyro sandwich was so mouthwatering. My gyro sandwich included succulent, marinated, and seasoned lamb and beef grilled to perfection. Then it was wrapped up with fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and feta cheese in warm, soft, and slightly chewy pita, and slathered in delicious homemade creamy tzatziki sauce. I got a pistachio yogurt bar from their mini deli and market area. It was so nutty, creamy, and rich. Perfect for a hot summer's day. I love that they use real pistachio with yogurt to make it. None of the fake artificial stuff was used. Glad I didn't offer my close friend a bite of this otherwise he would have suffered a severe allergic reaction in the restaurant. That would have made the dining experience incredibly memorable, and not in a good way LOL I love that they have a complimentary water station for customers to grab as much water as they want. Staff: The staff here are very kind, friendly, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

After leaving DTLA to work in the suburbs, I haven't been back and sad to say, it took a looming permanent closure to bring me back. What I loved about the place is still tried and true: a free parking lot (just need to tip the valet) and delicious Greek good. I don't eat lamb so my go to back then was the fish sandwich. I got it again, over 10 years later, and it is still as good as remembered. Prices have doubled (what can you expect in our current economy T_T), but the portion is still generous and the food still fresh and yummy. I brought BF and we ordered a spread enough for a family of four: spanakopita, tiropita, sausage appetizer, gyro sandwich, beef kefta patties sandwich (they were out of the beef kebab), fish sandwich, chicken kebab plate, and loukoumades dessert. Everything was fresh, light and delicious (okay, the dessert was a little too sweet for me)! We also grabbed a $3.99 baguette from the connected market. If you're planning on coming for one last visit before they close that first weekend of May 2025, make sure to come early and queue in the front of the store. The line will move and there should still be plenty of seating available after you order. If you come within the last 30 minutes before closing, you'll have to order to go. The employees here are still as courteous and friendly as ever. We were also jazzed to be graced with the presence of Chrys Chrys himself on our visit. We will miss you, Papa Cristo's!
