My curly loc maintenance

My first time visiting this beautiful establishment was today! It is a very nice upscale building, with lots off different independent beauty businesses. Today I went for an eyebrow waxing and a loc Maintenance with a color and style. Let's just say I am beyond pleased. I recieved my eyebrow waxing from Ms. Lisa Etie & my loc Maintenance was done by Ms. Kym. Both women were very professional and were very open with answering any questions I had to ask. What I loved most about their services is that they were not afraid to give their advice/suggestions and I loved that. Everyone there rents out a privately owned room so it allows them to have free will with decorating. I loved both women's rooms, very inviting and cozy. I felt like I have found a new home! Ms. Lisa Etie also provides face and body skin care and waxing. Ms. Kym offers her loc expertise and provides loc maintenance and 2 strand twisting. And they both accept credit/debit cards!! If you're looking for great quality service in a beautiful environment make sure you go see Lisa and Kym at French Quarter Salons

After Kacey Allen (Bohler) stripped my blonde hair) I had hair passed the middle of my back before she destroyed it!

I am very very disappointed in Kacey Allen (used to be Kacey Bohler) . I had long platinum beautiful hair. I wanted to go back to my original color which is dark brown . She told me she would have to strip my hair and me not being a stylist trusted her. She stripped my platinum hair which now I have read is a NO NO! It can literally tear your hair apart. My hair is now a chopped mess except it hasn't been cut. It's from Kacey carelessly making a mistake and stripping my platinum hair. I went back to her for help and she denied she stripped my hair and she even threatened me!!!!!!!! How unprofessional!!!!! I am now dealing with FQ salons on how I will be compensated for this tragedy. If I'm not satisfied with what they have to offer I will take this further. I don't even want to leave my house. It is emotionally damaging for this to happen to someone!

I had never heard of the hair coloring chain that offers a monthly membership until recently. The…read moreconcept is great, pay a fair price to have your gray roots touched up, or experiment with a natural color by a professional. Either way, the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The setup is great with chairs lined up next to each other and across from each other divided by a "color bar" where your colorist mixes the colors in front of you in preparation. They also offer blow drys and styling for an additional price. Otherwise, you come in for a color, wash/rinse, and can finish styling yourself at a self service station with a blow dryer, styling products, and comb or brush of your choice. I definitely plan to return because I enjoyed the experience and like how my color turned out. I signed up for a membership. I will not be using their deep conditioning products in the future. I upgraded and added it to my service but had many tangles and knots in my hair to comb out after my rinse.

The owner focused heavily on whether my appointment was booked the day before or the same day. If my recollection of the exact timeline was off by a day, I acknowledge that. At the time, I was traveling for work and coordinating appointments through my sister, who was calling multiple salons on my behalf while I was in transit. However, that was never the point. My concern was the lack of flexibility and customer care shown throughout the situation. Businesses have every right to enforce their policies. Customers also have every right to decide whether they feel valued when something goes wrong. Frankly, I found the owner's response far more concerning than the original dispute itself. The decision to publicly disclose extensive details about my appointment history, billing dispute, consultation, and private interactions felt unnecessarily personal, deeply unprofessional, and completely inappropriate for a public business review. Readers can draw their own conclusions. Personally, the owner's response spoke far louder than my review ever could, and I will not be returning or recommending this business. Original Review: I understand salons have cancellation and no-show policies, and I accepted responsibility for missing a same-day appointment due to an unexpected work obligation. However, after not visiting the salon for over 52 weeks, I had completely forgotten they still had my card on file. I was surprised to learn I had been charged $117 for a same-day appointment, especially since there was no opportunity to provide 48 hours' notice on a same-day booking. As a returning customer after more than a year, I believe it would have been reasonable for the reservationist to clearly communicate that a same-day no-show would result in an immediate charge of over $100. A simple reminder at the time of booking could have avoided this entire situation. What I find most unacceptable is being told the charge would remain as a credit that could be applied toward future services, only to later be told I could no longer be serviced by the salon. If a business decides it no longer wishes to have someone as a client, that is its right. However, keeping a customer's money as a service credit while simultaneously refusing to provide services raises serious concerns about fairness and communication. Very poor business practice by Tim, the owner. The communication was inconsistent, the handling of this situation was disappointing, and it is not how I would expect a returning customer to be treated.
