I have been doing my hair since I was a teen, so I know what to expect when I go to a hair salon. But this one was different. it took 4 hours to do my hair, and it was nothing special. colored my hair, wash. color weaving, wash and dry. The lighting is not that great in this salon, so it was hard to tell how my color turned out. But it is dark. Darker than anything I have ever had done And the highlites? I paid for highlites, where are they ? I used their own wording to tell them what I wanted to have done, " Dimensional blonde with beach waves " I didn't get demensional highlites, I got dark hair with some highlites. But this is dark, almost red brown. Then I go to pay and the bill comes out to $400. !!!! Never in my entire life have I paid $400 for my hair. Maybe some of you pay this much, but I never have. $150 is a good average for my hair. I was so astonished, I didn't know what to say. But at home I went over this in my mind & it really bothered me. So I called & talked to the owner and told her how upset I am. She went over my costs and found that I had been charged TWICE for the haircut. And her costs have gone up, her hair color has gone up $40 so she has to charge me 3 times what it costs to color my hair. I always leave a nice tip for my hair stylist, but when all was done it ended up costing me $402.00 for this nothing special hair And I never did get my demensional highlights. The owner promised me a refund and its been two weeks and not a dime has come back to me. Not even the over charging. I finally contacted my bank to see if they could do anything. And I tried to call but I guess my phone is blocked. The bottom line is this place is dishonest. They over charge. Because her cost of hair color went up $40 she charges you 3 times that much. And if they charge you for two hair cuts when you only got one.. well I guess thats ok too. Dishonesty. Does not keep her word. I will never go here again, and I am ashamed that a shop will behave this way. And I still have to go to someone else to get the hair I had hope to get at this place. I moved to this area 5 years ago and I have finally found an amazing salon! Kelsi did a fabulous job cutting my hair after having a very awful experience at another salon. She took her time and asked me plenty of questions to understand exactly what kind of cut I was looking for. She did not disappoint me whatsoever and I will definitely be returning for highlights in just a few weeks. They are reasonably priced and I had a very good experience with every employee that I interacted with at this amazing salon. I am very picky and I typically don't write reviews about my experiences at any place that I go to for any service. But, Kelsi truly impressed me and I felt like she deserves 5+ stars. She's very patient and also very friendly. She is also very knowledgeable and I left the salon feeling like a million bucks!! If I could give this salon and Kelsi 10 stars... I most definitely would. Nothing short of AMAZING!! Gretchen is a JEWEL!!!! Yesterday I visited this salon for the first time; I was so nervous because I hadn't cut my hair in a few years, but it was time for a change. Gretchen took the time to talk with me, understanding the issues that I was dealing with with my hair (thinning, no body, just plain Blah). We decided to cut over 6" off and oh was it cute. After leaving there super happy, I ended up getting the courage to do what I secretly really wanted to do.. go chin length short (from middle of my back) & SASSY!! I called this morning and decided to go back in & just go for it! Gretchen got what I wanted Spot On! Talk about taking years off!!!! The Salon is clean and bubbly (without being loud or "too much"). Kelly is my stylist and she rescued my hair from an awful green and uneven cut from a different salon and I've been with her since. During my first time visit to the salon, I walked away with a mantra. "It will grow back"! I will not return, nor will I recommend Gretchen. I went to have my long hair cut and styled, to a shoulder length style. I did show a picture of my request. I also told her that I am going to donate my hair. She started to gather and secure to cut without a wash. I asked her about it and her reply was "it will be easier for me". Throughout the time I was there I was an inconvenience to her. The business advertises that they do hair-braiding. My daughter (17 years old) went in to request an estimate of time and cost and spoke with the owner. She was told it would be between $150 and $180 and that it would take about 3 hours. My daughter saved her money, made an appointment and went in for the service. Three wonderful ladies worked on the braids for a total of 10 plus hours over a period of two days. When all was done, the fee was more than double the estimate and the ladies were inexperienced with the hair style such that it wasn't done correctly. When I spoke with the owner, who guarantees the work of the salon, she said she would honor the guarantee of work and cost. However, when my daughter went in for the refund and for corrections on the braiding, she was told it is what it is and no refund or additional work would happen. Again, I called the owner since my daughter is a minor and the owner confirmed that nothing would be refunded or corrected. Although the ladies who work there have been nothing but kind and hardworking, I will not go to this salon again. In addition, several of the ladies have also moved locations.
