From the first meeting, measuring and estimate which was done without pressure to purchase to today's installation things were done without pressure total professionalism. When we contacted them, Dave was quick to respond and set up the appointment for an estimate. The day of the scheduled estimate he kept us updated to his arrival and came as scheduled. He explained the process and the various products we could choose from. He had samples for us an explained what options might work best considering our weather conditions etc. He presented us an estimate with no pressure for what we chose. The choice was simple and we signed the contract. He made us aware of the timeline etc which was not as issue. As per Dave's meeting and contract we were contacted about a week before installation and asked if a given day would fit our schedule. The day before the scheduled installation we were texted a reminder. The morning of the installation we were called about 30 minutes before the scheduled time of arrival. They arrived right on time. Wade and his guys (Edgar and Sean) went right to work. They were professional and extremely courteous as well as personable. They wore "booties" and had no problem with our friendly dogs. When they were finished the only thing we had remaining was BEAUTIFUL PLANTATION SHUTTERS!!! I would recommend The Shutter Guys without hesitation and will be doing so to all of our neighbors and community. Thanks to Dave, Wade, Edgar and Sean for a seamless experience.

Hunter Douglas Roller Shades - Measurement Issues…read more We have owned Hunter Douglas shades in multiple homes and have always liked the quality of the products. This review is not about the shades themselves, but about the measurement and installation. We had previously worked with San Diego Shades and had a great experience, which makes this outcome especially disappointing. This time, instead of their technician, they sent the sales rep to do the measurements. All of the shades installed in our home were measured and cut slightly too small, leaving the wooden window frames visible on the sides when the shades are fully closed. While this may sound minor, it affects both the look and function of the shades. The issue is most noticeable in our bedroom, where we installed motorized room-darkening roller shades. Light still comes through the sides, which defeats the purpose of a room-darkening shade. I raised my concerns right after the upstairs bedroom installations, but the issue was dismissed with an explanation that didn't address the problem and did not and does not make sense. At the time, we were in the middle of multiple home projects, and I assumed I would eventually get used to them. I didn't -- and it continues to bother me every time I see them. When the downstairs shades were installed and had the same issue, I escalated the concern to a supervisor, and two of the cheaper shades were eventually replaced. Unfortunately, the bedroom shades were never corrected. Even now, the measurement issue is noticeable and frustrating. For a professional installation, I expected better attention to detail and follow-through. My advice: carefully review measurements and finished results before signing off.

As with any order, it's always important to verify your products, make, color, and design decisions as it's easy for installer or customer to miss something. Frank is always excellent with scheduling follow-up, you reach a real person by phone or text and I would readily recommend Harmony. I'm sure I have better photos but this is the product I had most recently installed. Well done Harmony for your continued great service.

Bob (co-owner with wife Lizzie) came out personally for the first assessment. We really didn't know the difference between blinds, shades, shutters, etc, but he brought us catalogs and we recognized shutters as the "window treatments" we liked best having stayed in air-bnbs. Turns out we have great taste, because this is NOT the cheapest way to go, but they worked with us on the cost so we could get what we wanted without breaking our budget. Now that the shutters are installed, I'm so glad we were able to make it happen. Our home looks completely transformed. The turn-around time was most impressive. A co-worker told me we might have to wait 2-3 months for shutters to be manufactured. We also recently replaced our windows and didn't want to re-hang the old blinds. Express Blinds had custom shutters made for 18 windows, a sliding door, and a half-circle window in 3 weeks! We worked with Linda to arrange for the installation to follow within a week of the window installation. She too is top-notch professional. She waited on me to get her a target date based on windows, then arranged for the installation to come less than a week later. She even called the afternoon before to tell me exactly when they would arrive. They arrived on time and completed the entire job in a single day. This was as stress free as a home-improvement project can be; we highly recommend Express Blinds!
