And honestly, every time I've come here, it still feels like I don't have enough time to make it through each section and floor of the market to properly see and enjoy everything. So I'll just have to keep coming back to explore more haha. One of my favorite discoveries has been how dog-friendly so many of the businesses were. A few of the vendors even offered my dog a treat, which was the nicest thing ever! Getting to try samples like apple cider, different types of vinaigrettes to dip your bread into, and beef jerky is always a win, and such a fun way to find new favorites!! Plus, there are plenty of great views and fun sights throughout the market if you're open to wandering around the different levels. Just a heads-up: it definitely gets crowded, especially on weekends!!

Getting to Pike Place is super easy on public transit from the airport - it's direct there and under an hour away. Very user-friendly. The market itself can be explored in a couple of hours. I didn't get to see the famous "fish throwing" unfortunately but I did get to check out a number of stores. Places are very generous with samples. I tried bread with a few different balsamic vinegars and oils, salmon, truffle spreads and salt, and apple juice. The area around the market is very walkable and felt safe and clean. Prices are reasonable and it's easy to pick up souvenirs for friends. There are a wide variety of sundries available and most shops had airplane-friendly packaging. Also nearby is the famous gum wall (disgusting!) and the original Starbucks. Restrooms are plentiful although I found them to be a little unsavory in terms of cleanliness. The stall doors were also weirdly short? I'm a modest 5'3" and I found myself towering over them. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Very fun vibes.

So here's a neat addition to the waterfront, an artist marketplace. To me, it's another sign that…read moreat least during the summer, there is a place for something made by hand, by someone who is passionate about their skill, their craft, and they want others to enjoy (and potentially purchase it). I didn't know much about it, and I still don't, but inside the building next to an antique shop, is an open space with tables, and artist works. It's kinda like a flea market, but with things that are actually nice. I can't say there the value is good, bad, otherwise... to be fair, these artists are pricing their wares based on what they think they are worth, and honestly, because they are such good things, the fact these will be conversation pieces, means maybe you might value these much more than retail value. I like what this place might become, and I encourage you to come down, and support these artists.

Their art is amazing, they have jewelry booths and other various items, overall just one of the most unique, artsy, and cool places I've been to. I wish the prices were a little more affordable, seeing as the hand painted jacket in the pictures below was $125 and you had to dry clean it, and the other jacket was $75, both vintage and not new. Very overpriced and I would've bought one otherwise, but not for $75-$125. The art was very much more affordable , as well as the jewelry at the stands. The staff in the stands were all friendly and had amazing service as well. I would definitely stop in here if you're an art lover to browse around!

If you enjoy the food there may take a bit longer. The Santa is in the house for kid and family photos. There is a cover warehouse for dining area. For the cold day, it is a good feature. There is a time to time bubble snow in the center of the market. For the food I like the Parmesan noodle that hot scrap and mixed in the spot. I also like the skew bbq meat. There are plenty of food vendors. That includes the hot chocolate, chimney cake, molding chocolate, Asian food, kabab and more. The decorations all over the market. Plenty of photo spot. The night ticket is more expensive than the day ticket. For this cold day, I prefer the daytime visit.

There were a ton of people here and the lines for food were also long. There are plenty of vendors but coming from seeing the European Christmas Markets, this needs to get better and larger. The inside had a large hall with tables and chairs so you can eat the food you buy from the vendors. Bought a few things to try but nothing compares to Europe. It made me feel like next year I will probably have a Europe Chridtmas holiday again.
