We did make it, but it was slow. I was on the search for a zipper hoodie, but didn't have any success. We're going back tomorrow so hopefully with more exploring we'll find a white one. I did get two small 4x6 prints of some original artwork. One is of the Space Needle and another is of the Pike Place Market iconic sign. I wish she was selling her originals, but I'll settle for the prints. My girlfriend got some hair ties. There was so much to see and places to explore. We are looking forward to going back tomorrow. Day 2 was even more fun than day 1. My girl friend's local cousin bought a fish do we got to see the fish throwing up close. I know it's a gimmick, but it's so fun to see, you don't want to miss out on all these touristy things as a tourist. We used the super secret clean bathrooms which was a blessing. We got lots of great fresh food. We went to the places with the longest lines indicating the food was turning over quickly. I had a list of places I want to eat at. We only made it to 2 on the list. I was disappointed that we missed the grilled salmon sandwich and chowder. We were only here 2 days so we didn't have the stomach for more food. We stuffed ourselves silly.

Now, years later and with my family, this was the first place we stopped at after landing. The things that have changed the most in 13 years was how crowded it was on a Monday. It felt like a weekend crowd and it terrifies me to think how busy it must get on Saturday and Sunday now. I had a route I used to take people but a lot of places have closed now. Still existing, though the lines were super super long. -The old logo starbucks, I think this is the only place that still uses the old bare chest mermaid logo. -The oldest comic book store in the world that is still operating is at Pike Place. -Flower and art market are still fun to walk through, like a farmers market every day.

There is a time to time bubble snow in the center of the market. For the food I like the Parmesan noodle that hot scrap and mixed in the spot. I also like the skew bbq meat. Hmm... I came at dinner time, so it wasn't super late or anything. I walked around the perimeter and there are some cool shops, but ultimately I thought that my expectations vs reality did not match up. There is a historic drinking fountain at the front to quench the thirst of patrons and horses hauling loads from rural Saanich to Victoria.
