What a magical place! We've been now a few years in a row and each time we find something new to enjoy, food to try and experiences to partake. New in 2025, they had a forest of wishing trees. They offered little wooden ornaments to write wishes on, then you could walk through the forest and place your wish. With all the twinkling lights, it was very magical. This market continues to impress me. I saw dynamic pricing offered, so it may pay to be flexible. A fun holiday event that we have turned into a family tradition.

This is such a fun experience! I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about, because it really does give you a taste of a European Christmas market right here in Seattle. Yes, it can be pricey at certain times, and parking rates are steep--but it only happens once a year, and it's a fantastic way to spend time with family and make holiday memories. This year, we skipped the Carousel due to the long line and instead went on a food crawl through the market--which we absolutely loved. We started with a warm Feuerzangenbowle, then indulged in Belgian fries, potato twisters, pistachio chimney cake, cheese wheel spaghetti, chickpea bratwurst, and veggie spätzle. We ended the night with a cozy Ho Ho hot chocolate. It was an evening to remember. Highly recommend for anyone looking to soak in some festive cheer!

I gotta say, this is the first and only Christmas market that I've ever had to pay an entrance fee for, and I've been to markets all over the world. It just seems greedy to charge different rates (with premium pricing based on time/day) for people to walk around, on top of the prices of vendor items that we're shelling out for if we wanted to partake in anything. Overall, the vibes were okay - it was so crowded that I spent most of the time trying not to get in anyone's way, and when not doing that, I was trying to avoid having my food knocked out of my hand with other people trying not to get in my way. I wish the market tents could have been lined up around the fountain so that there was more walking space, especially when some booths had long lines that just filled up any space there was in the way it was set up this year. Didn't want to deal with parking so we took the light rail and pre-purchased the themed monorail ticket to ride to/from Westlake. Not sure how this would have differed from just buying walk-up tickets, especially when the themed ticket promised a decorated monorail and I don't think we got one on our way back (the monorail there had a wrap around it, but don't expect any decor inside). Now let's move onto the food: I tried the pelmeni, raclette, and chimney cake, plus took home some fudge. All were good, nothing to write home about, and everything cost about $20 each, give or take a few dollars. So we've already exceeded $100 for one day to get there, enter, and eat. Unfortunately for my wallet, I also purchased some non-food items from a couple vendors as gifts, which were nice. Overall, I think the event needs to be more spread out (reduce crowding), and free to enter (accessible). I'd be willing to pay a slightly higher price for purchases made within the market if that helps vendors pay some kind of vendor fee so that the market can make its money that way; even if I end up spending the same as I would have with an admission fee, it's the principle of being open access that would make it a more tasteful event.

A Christmas themed event to go to! However, definitely mixed opinions on this place. Starting with the positives, I enjoyed the number of vendors supplied here. They actually have some delicious foods and it's cool how some of the food is themed to the Christmas market. There are plenty of lights and decorations to enjoy and great views of the space needle. The cons however, include the price admission to the park. They've definitely done better with pricing compared to last year, but I paid $12 pretax and I wished it was cheaper since it's already planned that we're buying things inside. The place can be crowded and lines can be long, so it definitely affects taking photos. The foods can be overpriced! Many of the staff/vendors were nice and the food didn't take that long to make. This place definitely brings the holiday spirits up. The selection of products were good and diverse.

What an amazing experience! Loved the lights, the music, food and the carousel! Loved the Chimney Cake , the long queue was worth the wait for the pistachio cake and with pistachio cream. Also, liked the potato twisters. We also had the chicken kababs and loved it. Food was expensive for sure but liked whatever we ate! Parking was pricey too, this is an expensive affair but we had a good time.

I feel this year is definitely improved, I'm glad they finally decided to offer a lower cost entry time. We took the $7 offer and went there right after opening and that is a good price point. They have very nice vendors for Christmas gifts and many vendors are even local, not cheap, but very nice options. There are a lot more food booths and a nice mix of sweet and savory. We had Currywurst (tasted delicious), pretzel (super yummy), Belgian fries (not really authentic), Canolli (to die for) and crepes (ok). They got the booths for drinks right at the entrance down the stairs, many cocktail choices, beer, hot chocolate and cider - many options even without alcohol. We didn't have much wait time anywhere, but that might have been the early start. The only busy booth was the hot chocolate right from the beginning. They have a very nice indoor seating area to warm up, which was nice to grab food and sit down. Santa was around for the kids and a band was playing Christmas music. I'd say go if you can get a cheap entry slot, prices are high, so for us, only the $7 made sense. I would definitely go again if we are in town, not sure if I would drive there specifically, but if your are already at the needle, go try it out.

The market itself was fine, there were plenty of shops and decorations around. We tried some desserts, pretzels, butter, coffee, and a bratwurst. Definitely better than the Baltimore Christmas market (that was a joke), but it wasn't worth the price of admission. We paid over $77 for 4 people which was the price including the military discount. Pretty crazy how expensive that is also considering the decent markup for all of the food and items inside the market itself. Also, it didn't feel very German. Sure, there were some German shops and every shop had German versions of their names on display, but there were a lot of shops that weren't even European. The service and selection were decent, but the overall experience was lacking. It didn't feel very authentic. This is one of those things you do just to try, but you don't bother going back to.

We visited on the day before Christmas with a party of 6 adults and 4 small children and it was a very nice experience. There are plenty of food and craft vendors to choose from as well as a large auditorium in which to sit. We were lucky enough to grab a large table to eat lunch. We purchased Brats, Potato Twisters, Schnitzel, Stew, Dumplings, and Cheese covered Pears. All were pretty tasty. There was a two level carousel that was fun for the kids, and the lines were not that long. The only complaint is that the food was wicked expensive, $15 for a potato twister, $14 per brat, just a bit steep. Overall, nice attraction to visit.

This is a cute Christmas market but I have to say I wouldn't pay more than $5 weekday/special day entrance fee. If you are looking for something Christmas themed to do and want to support local/small business then this is ideal. There are lots a places to grab a sweet treat or meal so I would definitely take advantage of that. Oh and a cup of the German hot mulled wine could warm you up. Service: the booths are manned by individuals and they were eager to help you find just want you want!

We had such a fun time coming to the Seattle Christmas Market. Very festive and everyone was having a good time. Price points are reasonable and all the options to buy and eat different things are very reasonable and everyone was so happy and pleasant. So fun! For those complaining about the cost. Stay home if you can't afford it. While the rest of us enjoy it.

I visited the Seattle Christmas Market on a $5 ticket day, and I'm glad I went! It seemed less crowded than peak times, which allowed for a more enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was full of holiday cheer with Christmas music, decorations, and plenty of festive gifts to browse. There were a variety of vendors that were local small businesses- Christmas gifts, foods, and desserts. The vendors were all friendly! Everything is pretty pricy! For food, we had the prosciutto raclette with melted cheese, which was average. The cheese actually hardens pretty quickly. We also had the potato-filled pierogis from Ukrainian Homemade Traditional Cuisine. I enjoyed them and highly recommend! There is also indoor seating. Afterwards, I had a delicious hot chocolate! Overall, I don't think this will be an annual tradition for me, but I don't regret visiting and glad I experienced for the first time. If you are coming here, make sure you bring a bag to put your items and recommend coming on a $5 ticket day. It's definitely a festive way to get into the holiday spirit!

We finally went after hearing how amazing this was for so many people. It definitely can get you in the Holiday spirit and they have some good food and drink items. I loved the Christmas band they had the night we went. I was told this past year the selection of vendors was a little smaller. We went on a weeknight which was cheaper, but I will say a lot of the vendors started closing up early before the actual end time of the event. I don't know if I would necessarily go every year, but it's a fun first time thing to do.

I was really surprised to see how low the overall rating of this place is. Yes it's pricey, but if you've been to pop up markets before then you know sometimes that's just how it is, especially in Seattle. My friends and I spent hours here and had fun without spending tons of money. They have an indoor eating area where they were doing trivia competitions, a big carousel and so many fun stands that sell great Christmas presents and/or delicious food! We got a discount on tickets because we went student day which I recommend doing if you're a college student. We will probably go again this year as well!

*HOT TIP!* If you're flying to Seattle, and you plan to visit the Space Needle during your trip…read morethere, make sure there's enough room in your luggage before you head to the airport! I've taken a multitude of photos of the various gifts, some of which are pretty large in size, so if there are some gifts you'd like to take back to family/friends back home, you'll have a better idea of how much to pack for your trip. After visiting the top of the Space Needle, I stopped by the SpaceBase Gift Shop to get a few gifts for myself before heading back home to SoCal. There's an elevator that will take you directly to the gift shop, which is located at the base of the Space Needle. You can actually see the gift shop from one floor above once you enter the Space Needle; however, enjoy the views and elevator rides first before you browse this gift shop! In addition to the gifts that show the Space Needle, the gift shop has a ton of generic Seattle merch that you could get at any other gift shop in Seattle: sweaters, mugs, books, hats, and even some Seattle chocolate at the register albeit Maeve. The gift shop sports a lot of merch from all Seattle sports teams: Kraken, Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders, Storm, and the defending NBA champion (sort of, no not really lol) Seattle Supersonics. Even though you're more likely to see Seahawks (congrats on the recent Super Bowl title!) than any other team elsewhere in Seattle, the gift shop had more Seattle Kraken instead, likely because the Space Needle is located so close to Climate Pledge Arena. I don't know which there were more of in this gift shop: Actual Space Needle gifts or just generic Seattle gifts, including the sports teams. However, I only wanted gifts that showed the Space Needle because if I'm going back home to prove that I did visit the Space Needle, how would a Seattle, Washington mug or a Seattle Kraken flag prove that? lol Even with generic non-Space Needle merch that could be purchased elsewhere, likely a duty-free shop at SeaTac Airport, there's still a good amount of Space Needle gifts for sale at this shop. My visit was during the fall, when it was pretty cold and cloudy in Puget Sound, so I had to pack extra, heavier clothing for my trip. This meant less space in my luggage, so I couldn't really choose the larger gifts not knowing if I'd even have room for them when I fly back home. Some of the gifts are seasonal, like for example, Space Needle Christmas ornaments. I saw a handful of them during my visit, which was back in November. Other gifts like puzzles, building blocks, books, and drinkware I can see being sold year-round. I'd be curious to see what other gifts are offered during the other holidays, like maybe an Easter bunny plushie donning a Space Needle shirt or some Space Needle artwork depicting 4th of July fireworks in the background? It took a while to decide what to get, but I settled on three gifts: Space Needle glow-in-the-dark t-shirt, mini Space Needle Figurine, and a DIY Model Kit that should take about 30 minutes to assemble. The cashier also asked if I'd like a tote bag for an additional $1.50. I asked what it looked like, and it was simply a mini Space Needle tote bag, which I gladly accepted since it was only a small fraction of the total cost. I did see some Maeve chocolate bars at the register, which confused me until I later found out Seattle Chocolate is now Maeve Chocolate. One of the concerns I had about the Space Needle figurine, which is an officially licensed Space Needle product I must add, is that the needle tip would be sharp enough to poke a hole somewhere, especially in my luggage. Luckily, the cashier quelled my fear by wrapping my figurine in paper before completing the transaction. There are a few machines in the shop that will generate collectible items related to the Space Needle or at least the City of Seattle. There's a Mold-a-matic machine that can create a small Space Needle souvenir model for only $5, and it can be done in just minutes. I didn't go through on this, but there are step-by-step instructions to guide you through this process. There's a vending machine of Seattle Medallions where you can get one for $5 each or 4 for $15, which really translates to buy 3, get 1 free. Three other penny smashing machines are prevalent in the shop to generate Space Needle souvenir coins as well. I didn't bring any coins with me on this trip; now I'm kind of regretting that lol. Overall, a good stop at this gift shop before I flew back home. Even if you're a Seattle native, I'd still recommend stopping by to see if there's a large gift that you could use at home!
