Great place to hang out, but the line for the bar really hindered the great experience. We were in Seattle for the weekend, and were happy to come up to Fremont to get a sense of the surrounding area. We sat outside, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, even though it was mid November and a little chilly. They also put out clementines and pretzels, which was a nice touch. Also note that the Fremont troll is around a 5 minute walk away, and gasworks park is around a 10-15 minute walk, so this is a nice place to stop if you want to do other activities North of Seattle proper. read more

One of my favorite places in Seattle, and the country. If you're a beer enthusiast living in Seattle and haven't been here before, you're missing out! Come here on a sunny day, or even better - on a sunny day you're ditching work or school! It has a real community atmosphere, and has a feeling that everyone is having a good time. It's very social vibe, and feels welcoming. It's frequented by locals, and a place that pleases visitors. Plenty of people also tag along with their dogs, which is a joy for them and for us who like to pet them! If you love their beer, buy a growler! The first growler will cost $15; however, after that each refill only costs $8. PS: Make a day out of coming here! Two of Seattle's gems are close by - the Fremont Troll and Gasworks Park. Just a heads up for those visiting from out of town this place requires a Covid vaccination or negative Covid test. I was excited to see what Seattle's brewery scene is all about but I will say it does come up short to other breweries I've visited. I give this place a four out of five stars because overall the layout of this brewery is cool they have long tables but no TVs which makes it much more intimate setting. They have a cool bonfire where anyone can sit around. Parking is hard to come across so be aware of that. read more

This is a cute brewery on the North side of Seattle. I rode my rental bike here on the paved trail and across the bridge. This place has a small indoor area to grab a brew and then head outside to the tables. It's a good place to hang out with other bikers and the after work young crowd. However, they close at 9pm every night! That's a major downside and I wonder if the city restricts them to certain hours. I would come back here again. read more

We came here after our UYE Dim Sum event. You have not know this place existed as it has a no nonsense storefront. By entering the facility it opened into a vass space that had a welcoming feel. The seats were half moon seats that surrounded a round table. As all these comfortable spaces were taken. We relegated to the center long table. Jorge using his many money saving coupons secured tasters for everyone. Sundays were $3/ pints and $8 growlers. As we enjoyed the beer and the day. Customers would come in and exchange their empty growlers for full containers. Couples would arrive with their dogs and grab a pint and sit and relax. Families would come with picnic baskets. They would set up in the the center table and order pints and enjoy their chicken tenders, sub sandwiches, and cookies. What a great way to spend a day. This place would be great for a potluck or an Elite event. I must admit I really enjoyed the set up of this place. Great award winning beer at an affordable price. Great company makes for a full day. We leave with 2 growlers and Jorge is a happy man. read more

Thanks be to the Interurban IPA for getting me hooked on IPAs! Fremont Brewing does not have a bad beer. There is a good reason this place keeps expanding and it is always packed. The brewery has a lot of seating and the staff is friendly and helpful. One of the few places I have found that you can pick up a growler refill for under $10. With lots of good places to grab food nearby, this is an awesome spot to sit down and enjoy some fine crafted beer! read more

I've been to Fremont Brewing twice and I've just got to come out and say it... I feel like this place is overrated. Out of all the breweries I've visited in the Ballard/Fremont area this one has my least favorite beer. On our first visit we split a sample tray covering a wide range of beers and weren't thrilled with a single one. The bourbon barrel stout was especially bad, it tasted like we were sipping cheap liquor right out of the bottle. We couldn't bring ourselves to finish the small taster glass. People rave about the fact that they have free pretzels and red delicious apples but I don't really get the excitement. The redeeming thing about Fremont Brewing (and the thing that I think inflates everyone's ratings) is the atmosphere. It has a modern, clean tasting room that expands for crowded nights and a big patio that is perfect for summer sipping. read more

While I was only here briefly (because we were headed to the Wasabi Bistro to devour some sushi), I was so charmed by the place I had to write a quick review. First of all, I love breweries, and fully plan on brewing my own beer (albeit in much smaller quantities) once I get my hands on a bit of start-up capital. So, the opportunity to not only go to a brewery, but also pull up a chair next to the stills and have a pint, is one I'll certainly take advantage of again. The Fremont Brewery is the epitome of a community watering hole. During the hour we were there lots of people filtered (pun intended) in and out; many were there just to pick up a growler or two, although more than a few were waylaid by the tempting on-tap selections. And just in case you ever thought, "boy, I really want a beer, but I want to pet a dog while doing it; oh well, guess I'll just go brown-bag it at the park..." have no fear, as dogs are more than welcome (which is a little odd because I know sanitation and brewing go hand-in-hand, but the physical brewing area was set a bit aside from the tables/benches, so I wasn't worried). Wow, ok, that was a long sentence, so here's a short one. Go to the Fremont Brewery. Oh, yeah, they don't serve food, but you can bring in your own, so...sweet. read more

Honestly, this place has delicious beers and they're always churning out something new. But unfortunately I just can't stand coming here anymore. Every time I go the place is crowded with babies & toddlers. If I wanted to listen to little kids scream and cry I'd go to a daycare center. But this is a brewery. I appreciate the fact that Fremont is cool with parents bringing their kids but I just don't think they should encourage it by providing toys and chalk/chalkboards. You are creating an atmosphere that is no longer fun to drink at and have a good time. read more

How can you not love Fremont brewing? Hoppiest beer in Seattle. They've recently redone their tap room and it's awesome now and open much later than before. They have a ton of different beers to try and the bartenders are incredibly nice and will give you a few tasters if you ask. One of my favorite breweries of all times! They offer free pretzels and apples to snack on, plus they have water bowls for your dogo! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. However, I tried their summer ale (light and refreshing) , and the randall IPA (delicious! I met a couple guys here for drinks and the place was packed. There was a line out the door so we hopped down the street to Blue Moon Burgers for a bite to eat. Little did we know when we would return the line was almost the same length. You can get a pint, a fleet, fill a growler, or pick up a six pack from their refrigerator. Everyone was super cool and helpful in determining what beer would be best for you. They do not serve food. They have a big bowl of pretzels you can help yourself to and I heard they have apples, but I never saw them. I took advantage of heading to Seattle for a Yelp event to grab a pint with a friend who now lives in the Fremont area. After much circling I finally managed to score a great parking spot less than half a block from FB. It didn't take long after getting on the grounds to find my friend. We headed inside and both ordered a glass and opted to head outside since it was sunny and moderately warm. Most of the tables at the brewery are long communal tables so it is no big deal to grab an open space next to others. (It made me wonder how many people have met their future spouse by sitting at these tables.) The complementary pretzels are a nice touch since they don't have food service and a couple of people farther down the table had brought in some really good smelling sandwiches from a popular sandwich shop nearby, which is welcomed by the brewery. The beers were good and made the conversation flow. I was glad we were under the cover as a squall came through and I had left my jacket in my car. A definite will stop in again when I am in the area (as long as it isn't during the Solstice Parade). Staff were friendly, quick and helpful and were picking up used glassware as soon as it was empty so the place was nice and clean. read more

Love this brewery. After visiting the Fremont troll, I had to stop by Fremont Brewing sine it was right nearby. Glad I made the decision to come here. Very chill spot to hang out and have some great beer. They have a wide variety of beers that were all really good. I got the sampler ended up trying maybe 8 of their beers. They have beers for everyone. Light, wheat, dark, ales, porters, IPAs, stouts, you name it. They have some pretty interesting flavors, a few that stood out was chokeberry with sage, coffee cinnamon bomb which was great, and thai basil. All good stuff. It is also pet friendly! Kids are allowed here too with an adult obviously. I came during Christmas time and randomly had carolers come in and entertain us. That was really cool. Great place and I will definitely be back. read more

Great spot rain or shine. On a sunny day the patio here can't be beat! The patio gets very crowded on a nice day, but for a good reason. It's one of my favorite brewery hang outs in the city. Other favorites are peddler brewing in Ballard and optimism in Capitol Hill. read more
