Be careful! You get what you pay for! After buying a new car, in April, I called this office to get a new quote, replacing my old one. Josue was the one speaking with me. He gave me a quote as $497 for the first month and then $207 every month thereafter. I agreed to the quote. I told him to cancel my previous policy (with a different company) but he forgot and I got charged from two different insurance companies for the first month. But it's not done yet! Today I received a mail saying my premium increasing to $369 for June and then $257 thereafter. When I called and spoke to a Freeway representative, he said Josue ran me the quote in April with annual 4,000 miles (!!!) but when the insurance company asked me to fill out a form I listed as annual 12,000 miles; that was why the premium increased. I was like: wow this is such a scram. Josue had never mentioned about the annual 4,000 miles when we spoke. You tell me which family would own two cars and drive only annual 4,000 miles a year per car! This is California, not New York where everyone takes Subway! Anyway, I did not sign any agreement for the increasing to $369 this month and then $257 thereafter. I requested to speak to the Freeway supervisor and asked her to cancel the policy immediately. As soon as she emailed me the Cancellation Request, I signed, replied and mentioned in the email if any charge occurred in the future I would call the bank to dispute. And guess what! The bank had just notified me there was a pending charge of $369 from the insurance company now. So tomorrow I will have to spend time calling the bank to dispute the charge! Such a hassle! Josue is a scam and a cheater. Be careful when you work with him. Don't go to this office. Or it'd better get insurance from other brokers, not Freeway! I've learned my lesson! The staff was very rude. I had a quote given to me by phone and when I got to their location the price was completely different, the price had gone up $100! It was ridiculous. They said it was just an estimate and I understand I had only received an estimate but come one an estimate should be around the original price not $100 off plus they wanted an enormous amount of down payment. When I decided not to get my insurance one of the staff laughed at me and said, " You won't find anything better than us." I found that very disrespectful. I do not recommend this location at all. This place is an absolute scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They charge really high broker fees, you might as well just get a quote from the auto insurance company itself. It may seem like you're paying more monthly but you have to put down a lot as a down payment with them directly. That is my first complaint. Second, They have screwed me twice now. I literally just got off the phone with the office manager complaining that they did not put my account on auto-pay. He claims I never went into the office to do it and they did not have the paperwork to prove it. I know I did not have a dream of me going to the bank, getting a DD slip and then drive back over there to sit with the (now conveniently) previous manager. Now I am stuck with a late-fee and still do not have my account on auto-pay. WTF am I paying such high broker fees if you guys are not going to do your jobs!!!!
