Consumers should exercise caution when working with tax preparation services that promise unusually…read morelarge refunds. In some cases, what appears to be financial assistance may actually involve unauthorized fees or questionable filing practices. It is important to thoroughly research any tax preparation business before providing personal or financial information. Always review your tax documents carefully and maintain copies of all receipts, communications, and time-stamped records. Some individuals have reported concerns involving signatures being applied to forms they did not personally authorize, resulting in unexpected fees that may total hundreds or even thousands of dollars. I have reported my concerns regarding this business to both legal counsel and the IRS for further review. After raising these issues directly, I experienced a lack of communication and received documentation containing signatures that I did not knowingly approve. Attorneys and regulatory agencies are familiar with situations involving disputed tax preparation practices, which is why maintaining detailed records and tracking your digital footprint can be extremely important. Discrepancies in documentation timelines and authorization records may help support your case if concerns arise. I am also exploring whether others may have experienced similar issues and will speak with my attorney about possible ways to assist anyone who believes they were similarly affected.

I did not realize State Farm offices were listed on Yelp, so this is long overdue!…read moreMy entire family and I have had car insurance and home insurance with John Co for more than a decade now. We have been completely happy with State Farm, and as we have grown older, gotten married, and started our own families, we go to John for everything. It came time to look at life insurance, and I was a bit confused regarding term vs. whole life. John explained the differences to me in detail, without making me even more confused. He explains is to me as if i am a friend vs. his customer. We decided on term life insurance for my husband and me, and whole life for our child. We also have earthquake insurance with him. Since the monthly premium is not automatically withdrawn from my account, I am terrible at sending checks and i have been late a few times. Apparently, it shows up in John's system and he always gives me a friendly reminder call where he can take the payment by phone. He is basically our security blanket when it comes to our CA earthquake insurance! When I bought my first ever luxury car at CarMax, CarMax made me add comprehensive collision coverage to my insurance before i left the lot. Now, it was 8:30pm at that time so the odds of me getting an agent were slim to nil. I called his office, thinking it would automatically click over to State Farm's official line. To my surprise, John picked up the call! I believe he had the calls routed to his cell. I mean, talk about amazing customer service. I explained what CarMax requested, and he did it without question, at 8:30pm on a Friday night! What insurance agent will do that for you???? I'm guessing not many. In the first few years of getting car insurance through him, we got a discount for low mileage. Now, part of that discount is apparently to verify mileage every few months. I was getting calls left and right by one of his employees. Mind you, I was in college and just could not be bothered at the time (I know, I was pretty self-important back in the day. Thank goodness I grew out of it!). I finally answered the phone and told the employee that I was so annoyed with the phone calls (it really wasn't that many..) and I would be looking elsewhere for car insurance (I had no intention of doing that, I was just being rude). Well, within minutes I get a call from John, who was away at a conference but heard I was upset about the phone calls. He immediately apologized and explained why State Farm needs the mileage. I sheepishly agreed and reassured him I would not be changing insurance. Again, this happened in the first few years when I was younger and had no idea the world didn't revolve around me. Cut to 2022: my brand new, less-than-a-month-old car was side swiped in the parking lot. I called John and gave him the details. He gave me the options and his recommendations. I thought for sure I would take it to my car dealership since it's a nice car and a regular body shop wouldn't do it justice. Again, he gave me his 2 cents worth and his experience working with dealerships. I decided to trust him and follow his recommendations. Well, I took my car in for an estimate at a State Farm recommended body shop, car rental worked cohesively with the body shop, I dropped my car off, and had it back within 2 days! Not only that, I got reimbursed for my car seats in the car within a day! From my accident to repaired car, it was a week. I cannot say enough great things about John Co at State Farm. He treats me like family. That's all i have to say about that!

I wasn't sure at first if I'd go with Jessica Yen Le as my agent. She missed a few of my calls…read moreearly on, and I had my doubts. But once we connected, everything changed. She explained the missed calls (she thought they might be spam--totally fair these days), and from that point forward, she was incredibly caring, honest, and professional. Jessica didn't just sell me a life insurance policy--she took the time to really understand my family's needs. She explained everything clearly, patiently, and with complete transparency. I could tell she genuinely cared more about doing what's right for us than just making a profit. What really impressed me is her honesty about what she doesn't know. If she's not confident about a specific topic, she tells you upfront and checks with her expert teammates to make sure you get the correct information. That level of integrity is rare and really earned my trust. She also helped my parents with their Medicare, even though she doesn't make much from that. Still, she sat with them, made sure they fully understood everything, and guided them toward the best options for their needs. That kind of care is something you don't forget. Yes, she can be busy and might not answer right away--but now I understand why. She gives every client her full attention, and when it's your turn, you feel it. She treats you with respect, patience, and kindness. I'm so grateful to have found her--not just as an agent, but as someone I truly trust with my family's well-being. Highly, highly recommend.

If you apply Covered California here, double check your application and make sure everything is…read morecorrect. My mom came here to apply for herself only but some how my dad (who has Medicare - does not need to apply for CC) also received a bill from the insurance company for Coverer California. Meaning, the girl who processed her application applied two people for CC when there should only be one. Second, my mom picked "A" insurance plan and finalized it with paperwork. Some how, both my dad and mom each received a bill from "B" insurance plan, which is much costlier than my mom's previous choice. And plan "B" is "Enhanced PPO Child Only" (wtf..she's 63 yrs old). This makes me wonder if these were innocent careless mistakes or were it intentional due to greed/inner motive? The damage couldn't be fixed completely because my mom already made a payment for plan "B". She came back by herself but somebody else gave her some kind of excuses. I had to visit the office myself the third time with her to get those two major issues fixed. The bonus star was bc the manager of the office called us back later at night to apologize for his staff's mistake. I might post a follow-up rating in two months.
