Bought two used vehicles here. I think they are honest. For service.....they are great. I recently had an oil change where they gave me a sheet with their diagnostic findings. The other day my front brakes went out. I looked at the sheet they gave me and BINGO.....they were right. They did not try to push the brake job on me during the oil change although they could have. Not sure I will go to them for the brake replacements but I do trust them. read more

Been there twice, but I should've really ended it after the first time. The first service appointment I had was some recall work on my Mercury Milan. it was a seat recliner recall and a purge valve recall. I was told it would take about 5 hours, but loaners are not provided for recall work even though my car is a 2011 model... (I work at another dealership and you always provide loaners for recalls since they are an inconvenience). I said OK and took a shuttle to work hoping to get picked up afterwards. fast forward to the end of my work day and I receive a call from the service adviser telling me that the car will have to spend the night because they accidentally broke a bolt in the seat and had to order parts. I received a loaner eventually, but really messes up my whole day because I had to wait forever to get that loaner. My seat still rattles ever since I picked up the car and somehow the alignment got way thrown off even though no suspension, brake, or tire related work was done. Still, I was happy because the purge valve work fixed my check engine light. 5 months later I'm ready for an oil change and decided to take it to the dealer again so they can inspect my brakes since I replaced them myself and wanted to confirm everything was good. So I call to make an appointment and I'm told to just walk into the Quicklane. I get there and the guy has a tooth pick in his mouth while he's talking to me, and doesn't bother to get off his chair to greet me. I had to walk up to his desk only to be told it's a 90 minute wait because they are short a tech. I ended up going to Bloomington Lincoln Mercury and right off the bat the adviser was awesome. the facility was clean. the service was short and great. NEVER going back to freeway ford and neither should you. read more

The so called "Quick Lane Express" at Freeway Ford is anything but quick. EVERY TIME I go there to get an oil change I am always told it is going to be a minimum of 90 minutes to get this done, sometimes even longer. It doesn't matter when you get there either, I have arrived right when they open and I am told the same wait time. A person could easily make a strong case for false advertisment against these folks and they should really change the name from QUICK LANE to SLOW LANE. I really wish they would start taking appointments for this place as that would solve all of this. If I could give them a ZERO, I would. read more

Freeway Ford had my brand new 2021 F-150 Platinum pickup with 11,000 miles and only 8 months old for a total of 22 days investigating and troubleshooting an electrical issue. The truck would die and need to be jumped, there was a draw somewhere. I had to jump it 15+ times. I had it in and out of Freeway Ford's service department as they couldn't seem to figure it out. They provided updates after I had to repeatedly ask but they never got anywhere. They replaced a steering position sensor module that was believed to be causing the draw, but were unable to calibrate it. The final day my truck was in their shop I talked on the phone to the general manager, Rob Stewart, and asked for explanation on what is taking so long to complete the repair. He went on and on about how electrical issues take time and how their techs are so highly trained, but yet they couldn't figure it out. Even with help from ford tech line they would run into dead ends. During this same conversation, I asked Rob what could be done to speed up the repair. His exact response was "the world does not revolve around Kyle". He said they have hundreds of vehicles through their service department. He also commented on prior reviews I had done through ford feedback emails, google, yelp. His exact response to those were "you write shitty reviews" and I asked in return if he believed the reviews were inaccurate and he said yes. Apparently he didn't appreciate the truth being public. This phone call ended with Rob asking if I had lost all faith in their ability to fix the truck and in the truck itself ever being completely fixed. He said Ford would not buy the truck back at this time since it doesn't qualify as a lemon yet, but I am done with the truck. He said Freeway Ford wouldn't be involved for the buyback part, the only thing Freeway Ford did was "regrettably sell me the vehicle". I picked it up that night and will be fixing/selling it somewhere else. I will never work with Freeway Ford again and I will never buy a Ford again. This was an unbelievably irritating and unprofessional experience at Freeway Ford especially with their general manager. I can not believe how someone so disrespectful and arrogant can be in a leadership position like that. I recommend nobody ever work with them. read more

I was passing through the area in January when my f350 diesel was loosing power turned out my fuel filters were jelling up my truck being from Florida didn't like the -36 degree temperatures up here and neither did I lol Anyway I made it to freeway ford and met the svc manager who more that took care of my needs they had me back on the road in no time and the bill was much less than I expected I wish I could give there guys 10 starts super helpful and friendly read more

I test drove a vehicle on Nov 17th, and liked everything about the car, except noticed the "check engine" light was on. The salesman said it would be resolved if I purchased the car, but then told me that since they did not know how much the repair would cost, I should pay a higher price for the car. He offered me a lower price -with the check engine light on, or a higher price with it off! I was floored! He finally agreed to the lower price with the engine light issue resolved, but could not give me a straight answer about what the problem was when we came to pick the car up. He thought it was the oxygen sensor... Less than 70 miles later (2 days of driving), the engine starts sputtering so badly we were unable to make it home, and my trustworthy mechanic says that there is a serious issue with the ignition coils, and it will cost $1300 to repair. I called the Freeway Ford Used Car Sales Manager, and asked what he would be able to do to help make the issue right for us. He told me that he's sorry this happened, but his mechanics could not possibly have mis-diagnosed the problem, and that this "underlying issue" must have developed after I drove the car off the lot! He went on to say that he understands why I'm upset, but under state law he has no obligation to do anything. (Since our used car was over 100K it isn't protected by MN 30 day used car lemon law) Sounds to me like he has heard from disappointed customers before & is perfectly okay doing nothing to resolve the issues. I sincerely hope the $1000 they're saving by treating us poorly is lost 100x over by customers AVOIDING THIS DEALER LIKE THE PLAGUE. (only giving this place one star because zero stars isn't an option) How many of you who work in retail/customer service have thought to yourself one day at work, "Man, I really wish I could tell this upset customer that we won't be helping them today because they might leave us a bad review." ??? Apparently, at Freeway Ford, this is a perfectly fine thing to tell a customer who was planning to spend about $800! Let me explain to you WHY I was an upset customer in the first place. I had purchased a 2012 Ford Focus Hatchback from a dealership in Madison, WI. While signing the sales contract, I agreed with the used-car-salesman that they were going to flip the bill for the repair of the rattling headliner (there was bulletin put out for this repair prior to me purchasing the vehicle). So, because I live in Minneapolis, this Madison dealership agreed to pay for the repair at a Ford dealership near me. Enter Freeway Ford... I called to make an appointment with them, and made sure to read them the bulletin number so that they would know which parts were needed for this repair. I took the morning off work, paid out-of-pocket for a rental vehicle since they did not provide one, and brought my car in the day of my appt. About 2 hours after dropping my vehicle off, they called me to tell me that none of the parts they needed to fix it had been ordered, so I would need to reschedule. CAN YOU IMAGINE MY FRUSTRATION?! So, I go get the un-fixed vehicle and they tell me that they will call me when the parts are in so that we may reschedule. Obviously, I'm livid, but agree to wait on their call so that I can reschedule. A couple of days later, they call me to tell me that "they have agreed NOT to fix my vehicle after all because the GM was afraid of a bad review." .........evidently they do not realize how the internet works because looky here, a bad review. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Like many of the other reviews out there... if there was a 0 stars option I would have chose that. I felt pressured to buy. I waited around for longer than I actually was working with people. I felt like they didn't care what I wanted or needed they just wanted to make a sale. The sales woman used cheesey lines like "if you were my sister I'd tell you to buy this car." And on the phone with someone she stated, "I'm sorry I'm at the dealership with my friend right now." Explaining when she got off the phone that she doesn't like to consider me as a customer because it's so much more than that. The manager was fake and said they were going to do everything to help me. They ended up offering me a 11.9% apr when I was already pre-approved for a 3.2% through Wells Fargo. They almost insisted that I run my credit and go through finaces with them because they can beat anyone. I got offered a payment $100 over the amount that I told them was my max. After spending time with absolutely rude people, who didn't listen to a word I said, and made me feel like I didn't matter or wasn't an important sale. I ended up walking out. I purchased a wonderful vehicle from Auto Nation in White Bear. They were absolutely wonderful and bent over backwards for me. They beat my 3.2% interest rate and got me a payment under my max amount. I recommend checking them out if you are looking for a great honest place to go. read more

We looked first at a used Prius before coming here to check out a 2014 Fusion Energi Ti. Thomas Robinson Jr stepped up right away to help. We checked out both a used and new model of the Fusion Hybrid and even helped us rule out larger Explorer we were considering. I felt he treated us great and didn't force any upsells. I was told the car I was looking at was sold. Two days later I was confused when I received another email from a different salesman giving me information on that vehicle. Because we thought it was sold we didn't go down (we live 2 hours North) right away in the morning. We called mid morning and said we wanted to come look at it. Then called again shortly after to say we were on our way and they said it was sold. Pretty frustrating to say the least. Talked to the sales manager who said sorry, it's the 1st person here with money in hand. Kind of hard to be the 1st person there when they told us 2 days ago that the vehicle was already sold. In October the service department did work on our car. I was concerned that it was not done correctly due to some difficulties the car was having. I contacted Freeway Ford. Pat, the service manager, got back to us within 24 hours. He personally took care of our car and it turned out that there was a crack in the battery- which is team may or may not of missed in October. They had me in and out in an hour and a half on a busy Saturday with a new battery and an oil change. read more

From the moment I got there to look at a specific car, I got the run around (and of course, "someone" was coming to look at it later that day...bs). I have a 2012 ford focus titanium. The car was brand new when I signed the lease. I wanted to lease a car to have few problems and have a new car every few years. Since acquiring this car I have has nothing with problems. Ford motor company should be ashamed they allow this dealership to use their name. I have has issues twice with the transmission (on a brand new car), sync system failing numerous times, and issues with the sensor system. I brought my car in over four times for the sensors alone and would get the car returned saying it was fixed only to have problem return when I drove off the lot. Management at this dealership is atrocious. They do not put the costumer first. I do not feel safe driving in this vehicle and the dealership could care less. Ford won't even offer me a free oil change for all my inconveniences of having to go to the service center. Who has time for that? NEVER buy or lease from this dealership!!!! They only look at there pocketbook and not if the client is satisfied or even feels safe in a so-called new car. read more

Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced Purchased our Ford Explorer from them with and extended warranty and as it has aged (3 years old) and we have asked for warranty issues they always tell us it is something we have done and we need to pay for everything. After many arguments they replaced tie rod ends and we purchased new tires. Now we have been driving for 10k miles on the (warranty 60K tires) and they say we need new ones (Again we must have driven through a lot of potholes) My wife drives this car and it really never gets out of the city and rarely at freeway speeds. I asked if they would work with us on the tire warranty and they wil not as it is our fault the tires are out of alignment. Also funny that we have 3 other cars that drive the same roads and we do not have this issue. Basically they should sell a 500k warranty because they will not honor it anyway. Please do not give these arrogant people with your business! There are many dealers that are honest and trustworthy and these guys are not one of them! I had a review on here a month ago that was 1 star, but because making things right goes a long way with me, I removed that and changed my review. I bought a car a year ago & it turned into a trip to the service department more than once a month at times. Sometimes it was fixing the same problem multiple times. In the end, my final straw was it breaking down 2 times on the freeway a week after it was "fixed." I drove it there that day, angry and very frustrated & told them i refused to drive it again. They could keep it. I understand it was not necessarily their fault, but my frustrations were multi level-the fact that i bought it there and it had chronic, seemingly unfixable problems. They were patient and understanding, and Gregg listened and I do believe helped orchestrate a solution that made me very happy in the end--with a new car. They gave me as much for my car as they could and went way out of their way to make it right with different car. They even came to my work place downtown to pick up my new car & deal with some loose ends. Brian was probably dreading helping me since I came in there with guns blazing, but he never flinched and was nice and thoughtful with me. We purchased a used 2013 ford edge a few month ago from here which was great. Our main concern and reason for getting a newer car is to have something we can count on with out worrying about what was going to break down next. We also pay for the premium extra warranty. This past month after one of the really cold nights our power steering went out. Until we could get in for a diagnostic and repair the oreilly guys told us we could use their power steering fluid to get us through until Monday. Went in to the service station Monday they took the car in. The service Manager Joe Decker took our information and had their techs look into our issues. The tech found that we needed a new power steering tube, we needed a power steering flush due to the wrong fluid being in our car (thanks alot oreilly), and we needed a new ball bearing for the front left tire. I was prepared to hear that some parts may need to be ordered however they luckily had everything in stock and repaired same day. Joe kept checking in with us letting us know where the tech was with our car and explained what they found when they found it he had great customer service skills. Thank goodness the premium warranty covered most of the issues. Also our sales guy Greg Henry helped us work out the rest and made sure we were taken care of. He certainly made a mistake telling us we can call if we had an issues because being our fist car from a dealership we call. He saw us first asked us what was going on and worked with the service department to take care of us, not your typical sales guy who would sell you a car and not give a second thought to you. Being that this was our fist service issue with our car I was extremely nervous that my worst fears would come true and I would be paying money out of my ears any way, but both Greg and Joe helped us through everything and we were driving home sooner then we expected. My spouse and I have been a one car family for several years. When the time finally came to add another vehicle to our family, We set a strict budget for the purchase and we set out to buy the new Ford Fiesta sedan that we knew would make the perfect addition for our commuter lifestyle. I began my search at a different dealership, as they had the vehicle I was looking for on their lot and in my price range. That convenience appealed to me, but my experience was beyond horrendous. Rude, pushy sales people, undisclosed damages on the vehicle, and repeatedly telling me how worthless my purchase was to them, since it's a more inexpensive vehicle than other selections. I left from that experience discouraged and damaged. Next, I tried working with a dealership right by my office. Although these employees were polite, they were still very pushy, and I was hesitant to move forward in working with them on my purchase due to my experience at the aforementioned dealership. Discouraged, I made the trek to Freeway Ford. I should have come here from the beginning, and I will definitely always come here in the future. If you can provide this level of service again, you have a new customer for life. I was browsing the lot one evening after work when I was politely approached by Patrick Martin. I was impressed by his relaxed demeanor, as he was willing to help in every way possible, but didn't make me feel like he was pressuring me to make a purchase before I was ready. Although I didn't purchase that vehicle, I sent Patrick a list of everything I was looking for in a car and he found what I was looking for right away. He set up an appointment (on my schedule) to meet with me and was so wonderfully accessible, transparent, and helpful! He, again, was informative, friendly, and not pushy. I happily put a deposit down to transport the vehicle to Freeway Ford and left feeling absolutely confident and empowered in my decision. I never once felt like he was trying to hide anything from me or push me to buy something I wasn't comfortable with. Only a couple days later, Charlie (Manager) and Patrick called me to let me know my car had arrived, and I worked with Patrick to set a time for a final test drive and the closing. Again, he was super flexible and willing to work around my schedule. I decided to finance through my credit union, and Freeway Ford never once made me feel bad about that or feel pressured into using Ford Credit instead. They gave me all the information in a very informative and helpful manner, and gave me the power to finance my purchase in the way I felt worked best for me. I worked with Matt in finance over the phone in sending the purchase agreement to my credit union, and he had this done very quickly with no problems. This service allowed me to come for my closing that same evening with check in hand, ready to buy. When I arrived for my closing, Patrick did everything in his power to ensure my time was well spent. Instead of waiting around to sign the paperwork, he went out of his way to utilize that time to show me the service department and go over the user's manual of my new car. I was so grateful that he valued my time as much as I do, and truly showed that he cared about how the entire process was for me-not just the "sales" portion. The entire process, from arrival, through test drive, through setting up all my features in the car, to driving off the lot took barely over an hour. Truly top notch service. Thank you, Patrick! I just wanted to thank Freeway Ford for making the purchase of our new 2015 Ford Fiesta SE Sedan an amazing experience from start to finish. Always looking for a way out of their shoddy work. When the windshield wiper motor that they installed went out, it also took out the variable speeds on the windshield wiper settings. When I went back in to have it fixed (since it was under a two year warranty), without even looking at the vehicle they told me it wouldn't be under warranty if mice had chewed the wires. WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE VEHICLE. This is on top of when I had to go to another service place because the axles they had replaced were leaking fluid. The tech was confused because they axle boots were new but the screws were loose. Find a service provider who you can trust. read more

Barry McDaniels, a manager at Freeway Ford, did reach out to me to get the process of getting the items that we agreed upon worked on and fixed. He was apologetic for not getting a timeline arranged for getting the problems resolved. He also offered to fix a small windshield ding on the windshield that we hadn't noticed until after we had made the purchase, so I thought that was a nice gesture. I know that to have just a small ding like this repaired is generally only $70, but it's a nice gesture. Our sales person, Malique, brought out a loaner car for me to use for the day while they worked on the truck. The car was a 2017 Ford Fusion and I honestly had not looked at Ford cars before and I was pretty impressed with it. I know this is starting to sound like an ad, but it is what it is. I drive a Prius, not because of being overly aggressively green, but because I like the gas mileage and it's more than "enough" car for me. It's equipped VERY well and they just go and go. I digress, the Ford Fusion they provided really was an extremely nice vehicle with most options, including leather, heated seats, steering wheel, park assist and I believe the whole nine yards. In a few years when I need to replace my Prius I will definitely look at other products like the Ford Fusion they loaned me. They got the Nissan paint in better shape and Malique said that they were not able to get the glass done, but will be calling to make an appointment to get someone out to my office location and get it taken care of. Purchased a 2013 used Taurus. The car ran great, but had a "Low Tire Pressure" light on when purchased. They filled up the tires and I was good for a few weeks until the tire pressure light came on again. I spoke with the mechanics, who did a soap test on the tire. A single tire had a slash on it, and needed a replacement. I left several messages with my sales guy. When I eventually got a hold of him, he told me my purchase was "As-Is" and they weren't responsible for the tire. If it wasn't caught by their inspection team before the sale, they wouldn't cover it. It's not a huge expense, but its the principle. I expect better value when buying a car from a licensed dealer, even if it was slightly used. Other than that, the car is running well and the buying experience was pleasant. read more
