I purchased a 2021 Lincoln Nautilis brand new off the showroom floor. It currently has 39,800 miles. Whenever I open the driver side door, there's a loud cracking sound, took it to Lincoln collision center in Lakeville and they gave me an estimate for $7500 to replace cracked door hinges that on a Ford escape is a manufacturing defect. Also, I've read a lot of other people complaining about the same problem because the door is too heavy for those cheap hinges they put on. This is horrible customer service, this is not even safe. They offered to pay half of the 7500. That is still insane. That is a manufacturing defect without a doubt, I already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so we'll see what happens, probably nothing. I've had Lincoln's since 2002, Continental, the MKX and now the Nautilis and I'll never get another Lincoln ever again. This sucks. Lincoln should accept responsibility for their poor selection of metal to support such a heavy heavy door. I think they should classify it as manufacturing defect and pay for the whole damn thing. Business comes across as very professional/ helpful. When all else is said and done they use bait and switch tactics, tell you you said things you didn't, don't write down the words you used to describe problem and substitute their version which doesn't interpret the same way, never fixed original problem but says their computer says something else is bad and will show you a picture of engine and leaky shock so you tell them its ok to fix on different issues. I trusted them .. assumed it was my engine (ie my shocks etc) pick up my car hundreds/ thousand dollars later and original problem not fixed. Brought back 4 x later still not working and in worse condition as to when it was brought in. Said turbo bad; had replaced still doesn't run correctly, engine light on when i dropped off and picked up just as shop closing with engine light still on, dropped off again no problem with transmission but slight vibration which was original prob two separate times before which wasn't fixed and now transmission is slipping but never b4 when I had continued to bring back to fix. I have spent close to $8000 and now they want $6600 to fix transmission and tell me they are giving me a deal. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! They do not know what they are doing. I wanted to trust them and now I am the fool and have been taken advantage of ( female age 74 and not mechanical). I was telling my neighbor and she said they had same problem at same dealership w/ nothing fixed but were smart enough to take it somewhere else. They said they replaced things they said were bad like shocks, wheel bearing, solenoids, turbo but never original problem. Now turbo does not feel right and transmission is slipping when i activate it. Transmission was never slipping b4 until they took it upon themselves to tear it apart to figure out original problem. When i told them i was picking up car I got a piece of junk back instead. STAY AWAY no matter how sincere they sound. P. S. Never gave/ offerred me the bad parts back. read more

This is for the service department. In 2020, they had my car for 2 months, replacing a transmission during the pandemic. Understandable. This past Monday, I brought my car in at 745 am appointment for airbag recall and heated seats repair. Advisor said it may take 2-3 days for a diagnostic, and it's $199. Radio silence til Wednesday, I call around 1 pm and leave message, Noone calls back. I called again, and at 4 pm, I talked to advisor, they had issues with the airbag install and haven't done the diagnostic yet. He waived a diagnostic fee. I contemplated getting this repair if it was going to be over $500. Finally get call Thursday and $902 is quoted. I said go and repair as I love the heated and cooling seats. No call Thursday afternoon as it was supposed to be done. Get call Friday am and price suddenly is $997! I reminded him of phone quote and new price is $896. It seems like they take in more cars for repairs than they have mechanics for. I picked up my car Friday afternoon, and it was vacuumed and washed. Thanks. Communication is a weakness here. A 2 minute call on Monday or Tuesday would have been nice. Based on this experience, I may go to another Lincoln dealership in the future. I had an appointment to look at a truck with Bobby G. scheduled a few days in advance. As I was driving to look at the vehicle (almost an hour away from my work) I received a phone call saying, "The truck had some issues and has been sent to auction" Which I was disappointed and confused by as I had been talking to Bobby just a couple hours before confirming my appointment. I continued on my way to at least see what they had to offer. As I arrived, I was approached by what appeared to be a sales manager who then told me a different story saying, "The truck you were looking for got sent to a sister dealership" So now I have two different stories neither I quite believed because of my appointment to look at this specific truck set days in advance. I sat down with Bobby and was told a third different story saying the "powers upstairs" sold the vehicle. I sat down and talked to Bobby hoping maybe just MAYBE he would be able to help me out with something as I was really hoping to be driving home in a new set of wheels, he continued to talk to me about vehicles that were not in my budget and not at all what I was searching for and never once realistically showed me something I would be interested in. Still hoping there was something there and also out of curiosity we asked for a trade appraisal on my current vehicle. after the appraiser went and drove my vehicle he came back wearing a from my best description olive green matching track suit while everyone around him was wearing suits or nice business casual clothing, this felt very unprofessional and proceeded to tell me all the things wrong with my vehicle, many of the things he said were broken or worn out were actually replaced just a few weeks prior by a reputable mechanic and I supplied receipts to prove it. He offered 8,000 I said no lower than 10,000 after he refused to negotiate in any way we left. I traded in that vehicle to a different dealership for 11,000 the next day and it has already been sold by them. If anyone from apple ford is reading this I hope you are able to fix the issues I encountered as these have deterred me, my friends, and my family from any apple automotive dealership in the future. QUICK LUBE LANE I brought my vehicle in to have tires rotated and a bulb changed. Should be super straight forward, easy and quick. NOPE! Tech changed oil (never asked for that). Manager waved charges. Thank you! But when I drove away I had no oil pressure. I brought it back and they changed out the oil filter which corrected issue (defective one? Wrong one? No one was sure). During my first visit it took over an hour to do this...and at one point there was a 20 minute wait because no one knew where my vehicle was??? Dan LaCroix provided excellent service to correct everything!!! But a tech changing my oil (that had only 300 miles on oil change - synthetic....I didn't get synthetic when they changed it) and you temporarily couldn't locate my car??? I understand it is very difficult to locate good service techs currently...but this is exceptionally poor service. Great opportunity for improvement! read more

I bought a used 2018 Lincoln MKX from Apple Ford in Apple Valley, MN 2 years back. The engine blew under absolutely normal driving. I had called them to discuss why this engine being somewhat new would blow. And their response was, "we can sell you another"! Really, instead of saying bring it in and let us take a look at it, or that is very strange and let us do something to help with this. I realize when you buy used, you are buying, in good faith, the car. However, with it going out in a 2 year time, not to mention that they failed to let me know that the catalytic converter went a year prior and the other catalytic converter was about to go as well. I spent $15k just so I could get it back and sell it in good faith. Never will I recommend this dealership again! read more

If I could give zero stars for this dealership, I would. Long story short, they convinced us to sign for a car that they assured us could tow 5,000 and then my wife did some digging and found out it could only tow 3,000. Getting a new car with a higher towing capacity than 3,500 was the only reason we were getting a new car in the first place. So we had to cancel the funds for that car and begin looking for another option for our family. They immediately had another car we could buy that was in our price range and what we were looking for so we went for it. One month later the car is making noise when making turns and it was still under the 90 day 3,000 mile blue certified warranty so by the time we get the car in we've had it 2.5 months and the right headlight is now no longer working as well. Once they get the car they proceed to tell us all 4 brakes and rotors on the car needs to be replaced and so does the headlight and the electrical pigtail. Which the total cost for all of this is $5,044. Had they actually done the 139 point inspection they claimed they did they would have found these most basic of things. They proceed to tell us they won't cover anything and to have a good day. We finally had to argue with the sales manager and he agreed to make us pay only $1,300 for the headlight instead of $4,000 (which I still can't afford) and won't touch the breaks because that's normal wear and tear. Which over 2.5 months it's impossible to go through 4 breaks. I will never go back to this dealership and I will make sure everyone I talk to knows how awful of an experience this was. read more

We seem to only have problems here. We thought an issue with our vehicle was under recall or we would have taken it elsewhere. The quote was comparable to other auto repair locations - I called about 5 other places. My issue was that we asked for the part back. When I spoke to the service adviser I asked several times if the price was all inclusive and that I would be receiving my part back. He assured me it was. When we arrived he had left for the day and no one could find the part. They had apparently sent it back as it had a core charge - which they never advised me. I was able to negotiate a discount after they kept us waiting over 40 minutes. There was 1 employee that was the voice of reason and that is why they are receiving 2 stars instead of 1. The rest of them had no clue what to do. My other nit-pick was that the service adviser assumed that since I was a woman I wouldn't know what a solenoid was and tried to dumb down the repair. I will start off saying this , I saw a few used vehicles that looked nice. They were priced as such. In good condition , and not rust buckets. I watched the price drop on a suv. $1600.00 to be exact. I then set a appointment on Monday to see the SUV Thursday. The "VIP " appointment (per their email) was all set. This would be a all cash transaction. I then received two more emails in a 2 day span inquiring about my interest in said SUV. I then responded by email and by phone . This was done to ensure that the vehicle would be waiting. I ended up catching the sales person Jason on his day off (I didn't know this of course , as I called the number in the email ) he assured me said vehicle would be ready to view the next day. This is now Wednesday. I drive to said dealership where upon my arrival I was told it sold yesterday, and that he had sent a email to let me know that about 8am that morning. I did not receive said email but received all other communication from the dealership. So I suppose my VIP appointment fell through ok. Disappointed but not angry. Then I was asked was there anything else I was interested in. Glanced at pics of another vehicle. Asked questions about what the inspection sheet said. Any known problems.(I know used cars will be used cars )Come too find out it's a $5,000 dollar lol leak nightmare. No one wants to spend $5 or $6 grand and have a $2000.00 dollar oil leak the same day. The rip off experts of the north - had to take them to the BBB due to un-needed repairs and refusing to show me the parts they replaced or the tests they ran 3 years ago - went back today with a battery that was supposed to have a 36 month replacement and 100 month limited warranty that was bad and they said that they couldnt warranty the battery without having me schedule a service checkup on the car (so they could find other stuff to fix and charge me for just like last time) - I told them no way in hell were they ever touching any of my cars again I just wanted the battery warranty - they refused - then said the battery tested good and claimed there was only a 36 month warranty on it even though it clearly said 36 month replacement 100 Month limited warranty - and started telling me it must be my car - I took the battery to Autozone and O'rielies for testing - both stores said the battery was bad even though ford said it wasnt -- I refuse to walk back into that place - nothing but slimy con men trying to milk their customers for extra repairs read more

Buyer beware. This is not the place to purchase a used car. AutoCheck is not reliable. The used vehicle that initially brought me did have signs that the vehicle had been in an accident even though "no accidents" was stated on the listing. They can make any used car look good with detailing. They will not negotiate a lower price either. Silly that they choose to leave a car on the lot for months and months until they eventually lower the price. Once you inquire via email about a vehicle, they will pester the heck out of you. One thing that I will say, they don't lure you in if a vehicle has already been sold. That you can expect from bigger fish. I've always had a great experience taking my truck that I bought at Apple Ford, in for service whether that be for an oil change or any other service such as recalls etc. Ford F150's have a plastic oil pan as well as a plastic oil plug and for whatever reason other places can't seem to change my oil without it leaking but I never have to worry about Apple Auto and that's peace of mind money can't buy. read more

UPDATE TO My PREVIOUS REVIEW: after this incident, this newly purchased vehicle we only drove for 8 days was in the repair shop for 6 weeks and finally determined unable to be fixed due to a serious engine malfunction. We did have a loaner vehicle provided by the dealership during this time. The dealership (and working with a different sales manager) did finally make it right - after a lot of back and forth conversations and negotiations - by returning the vehicle for full price back, paying off our original loan, and giving us some $ off a different but similar vehicle on their lot. Our 2nd newly purchased vehicle has not had any issues now since purchasing a month ago, thankfully. Updated to 2 stars vs 1 star due to the hassle of the original issues stated + having to negotiate to receive what was fair, having credit run again, dealing with the hassle of insurance and lender changes... we did get there in the end with being satisfied with the new vehicle, though. read more

I bought a new, Ford-150 in December of 2021 from Apple Valley Ford and I immediately needed to have it serviced for broken heated seats. Dealership fixed the heated seats under warranty, but while doing so, they put a 2 foot crack in my windshield (which I pointed out to them before even driving off the lot). Jake was supposed to follow-up with me about 6 weeks ago with next steps but never followed up. I have also left him 3 voicemails, all of which have not been returned. Please do not do business with Apple Valley Ford as you can find much better service elsewhere. read more

Another 1-star review: So I get a recall notice for my wife's 2014 MKZ. I stop by AV Ford/Lincoln to schedule the service and to get the oil changed while it was there. I thought $70 for the oil change was a bit excessive but it included a complete inspection, tire rotation, fluid top up etc, and a health report so I thought it was worth the up-charge. While at the dealership, I spot a nice looking Continental; took a couple of pics to show to the wife and she thought it was a nice car too and worth a test drive. So I call the dealer and spoke to "J" who was on the floor at the time. For whatever reason, he could not or did not want the sale and passed me on to "R". I spoke to "R" for a while and told him my car will be there for service in a couple of days and I requested that he have his used car manager look my MKZ over while it was there and come up with a trade offer so we could do a deal on the Continental. He thought that was a good idea and we left it at that. Still waiting for his valuation. So the day comes to drop the car off for the service work. All went smooth and the people were nice. We cruised the lot so I could show my wife the Continental...she loved it. I then spent some time on their website crunching some numbers and evaluating the car. All good. Later that afternoon I get an email from "P" that reads in part: "We need your MKZ at Apple Ford Lincoln Apple Valley". This could have been an auto-generated email. I call "P" and mentioned that I am already dealing with "R" and am waiting for my trade valuation. He thanked me. Later on that day I get the call that the car is ready. I go to the cashier to settle up and I noticed that the Health and Inspection report that I paid for was not included. I requested it from the cashier and she tells me that "I was not entitled to it". Huh? Why not, I ask? She proceeded to insist that I was not entitled to it (even though its a line-item charge on my receipt). She was obviously not familiar with the service and hung her hat on the "not entitled to it" narrative. We left, it was late and we needed to get to another appointment and I figured I'd get it straightened out when I got a call from "R", the sales rep...remember him? As a side note; this special oil change service is called The Works and is promoted on their website. But for whatever reason I am not entitled to it. A few days later I get a phone call from "P" (I don't know if it was the same guy who sent the email a few days before) and he wanted to know about my experience with service but seemed more concerned that I give them "nothing but a 5 Star review". I proceeded to let him know where my heartburn was due to the oil change fiasco. He thoroughly agreed that I should have gotten the report and assured me he would make sure I got it. That was on June 27. I'm still waiting. Also I have not heard diddly squat from anyone in the sales department. Here I am, a qualified buyer, with a viable trade, cash in hand and ready to buy a Continental; and not a word from the sales dept. Business must be good. Its worth noting that two years ago, when we were looking to buy the MKZ, AV Ford had the exact car we wanted at a very competitive price. But due to a very weak sales guy, we drove a half hour and 30 miles out of our way to Minnetonka and bought the car there. AV Ford aren't the only game in town and don't have the market cornered, You have a choice. Note to the General Manager: You have coaching opportunities up and down the line. You should address them. At this point, both my wife and I have soured on doing business with AV Ford. Note to anyone reading this if considering doing business with these guys; take it for what its worth. Took my truck to Apple Ford for some simple issues that were covered under warranty. During the "inspection" they found several other things wrong with my truck. Long story short. They had my truck for a week and a half. When i was supposed to pick it up they called and said they were having trouble getting it back together, but it would be done the next day for sure. At this point they finally offered me a loaner as I'd been without a vehicle for 10 days. The next day I called them and was told they would have to keep it over the weekend. I asked why and they gave me a completely different reason than they did the day before. When I called them out on it and asked for a manager the manager said the same thing. After some back and forth they finally told me that they were mistaken and the vehicle was done and ready to pick up. When I picked it up I was given a different price than the day before and was charged more than my warranties deductible. I argued with them and they took 50 bucks off so it would cost what I was expecting. I called the GM (Shawn) left a message, but like I expected he never called me back. I won't be back. read more

Always willing to listen, help, and offer cost-saving alternatives. Advisor Ross is patient and very resourceful. Also, while having my F150 looked over, decided to inquire bout the new F150 Lightning EV. Though very busy, one of the sales managers was able to connect me with David, one of the sales associates. The team here has been really accommodating and helpful while I go through my super stressful situation. My Ford Escape decided to call in sick for work today. I tried to start it and it simply refused. I showed me a bunch of lights and messages and went into "power saving mode" and simply would not start the engine. My coverage figured out a tow for me and I told them to go here because they were open earlier than the other Ford dealerships that were options and I had stopped in once before with a skid plate issue on this same car, and they handled it like total pros. Dan did my intake forms and has been super great at communicating with me through this whole fix and process. I would have liked for my car to be done today so I can go on with my life, but it isn't, so they hooked me up with a loaner so I can still run my errands and make it to work tomorrow. Tried for five days to purchase a vehicle. I confirmed I wanted it, the next day when I went to pick it up, they told me they sold it this morning. Things happen, but it was the extremely poor communication,follow up, and simply returning a call to get a deal done. Not once did the three different sales people they shuffled me to say let's put something down to hold it. Nothing. One vehicle won't make them or break them, but it's the additional purchases, the service center, and the reputation that does. Rather than show any remorse or apology for the poor service, all they wanted to do "was find another truck to put me in". No mention of discount. No mention of doing anything to overcome the poor customer service. I wouldn't do business here.
