Chevrolet is my favorite company in the car world. Bought my last 3 cars brand new from dealerships. And another from Walser long ago. Was with Suburban Chevrolet for over 10 years with top notch service. Oakdale Chevrolet is amazing as well. Just getting to know Rosedale Chevrolet and they seem great too. I bought a remote start kit to add to my vehicle I purchased at the Bloomington location. I set up an appointment on Feb 3 for my 15,000 mile service for $89.99. I also set up installation of my remote start because Kenny grinder my key and sent me on my way. He was very nice but my remote start would not work. I show up on Feb 4 pumped up to get my key to work. Just added some other accessories as well. Was on top of the world. David Hill looks at me like I am completely an idiot and doesn't understand that I want remote start added. He goes and talks with someone and comes out with a code chart of my vehicle. Tells me I don't have this option. I ask him if I can have it installed. He tells me no. Which seems really odd that a 2021 vehicle is restricted from remote start. I returned the key to Rosedale Chevrolet. Where you pick parts up if you order through MyChevrolet app. Cody over there is great! Patient and understanding. I am not asking for a discount. I am asking for respect. Which these children don't teach or show. Bloomington uses tactics of turning it on the customer. I called them after talking with Cody. He accepted my return and GM reached out to him and asked why I am returning this when my vehicle is capable of installing it. Cody asks if I want it installed. Came here the other day to get my Chevy Volt's battery replaced. They have their EV guy take a look at it the minute that I brought it into the shop to give me a quick inspection for free. He was able to determine it was the battery just by asking me a couple of questions, he seemed very knowledgeable about EV cars and was able to troubleshoot my issue very quickly. They had the battery in stock and they were able to install it in a very reasonable manner. Staff kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. I made use of their waiting room with free coffee and fast Wi-Fi while I waited for my car to get finished. When it came time to pay the bill, the total was a bit under in price for the target range that I had researched online beforehand on what a battery replacement should cost so prices were very fair and reasonable. I always cringe when something in my car needs to get fixed, but with this experience, the issue was resolved quickly and the price was fairly painless on my wallet. read more

I recently purchased a used Chevrolet Bolt EV from Lupient. The sales service I received from Jose and Josh was spectacular. They were very attentive to my questions and provided me with clear answers. Ultimately it lead to a sale and very happy customer. One thing I didn't particularly like is that the prices listed on their web site assume you are financing the car through them. If I pay by cash or use other financing, then the price for my car went up by $500. This was mentioned a bit late in the process, though in the fine print far down on the web site, it does actually hint at that. Would have been nice to know that sooner. read more

I needed an oil change pretty quickly and had called many of the other Chevy dealerships to no avail. I called this one and was told they don't do appointments for 'express' services. I was a little leery about this assuming I'd have to wait several hours, but decided to give it a try. When I pulled into the garage I told the clerk I needed an oil change and she helped me rather quickly. I was given the option to either sit in the lobby or take their shuttle to a destination 10-15 miles away. I took the shuttle option since the wait was 2 hours. Very impressed with the shuttle. It was like a free Uber. The shuttle guy was very nice, polite and even made some conversation with me. They even picked me up after the service was done. When I got back the clerk reviewed the paperwork and service with me which I greatly appreciated. I also learned that they washed the car AND vacuumed the front rugs! I don't know any dealership that does all of that. I'd be very inclined to return here for future oil changes and to even purchase a car in the future. read more

Avoid if you are a woman. I took my car in for an oil change 9 months ago and they told me at that appointment that my breaks and rotors needed to be replaced ASAP. They told me that I would kill myself if I continued to drive my car with those breaks and they were not road safe. Then they told me it would be $800 to replace them. Scam. I didn't trust their opinion so I did not get my breaks fixed and continued to drive my car. Today (9 months later) I took my car into a mechanic to have him look over the breaks. They have at least a year left on them, perfectly road safe. This dealership is scamming people know don't know better to pay outrageous prices for services they don't need. I had brought my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer in several months ago to have the door actuators reprogrammed to hopefully fix only getting heat on one side of my vent system, as I was told that dealerships were the only ones who could do it. The guys working on my car had called me and said that it wasn't something to reprogram, just that it was a fuse that they could take out and put back in, so I said do it. When I got my car back, nothing had been fixed, and I was never asked if I wanted them to troubleshoot further, which I would have loved for them to do. My vehicle also came back with a constant, irritating clicking coming from inside the dashboard which was not there before. Whatever they did, they did not do it properly, or they just didn't care. Called about a van we were pretty excited about. Loan gets approved, they're getting it ready, but then: the check engine light (allegedly) turns on. Friday, no news. Saturday, Sunday, no news. Monday: "hey, sorry, we sold the van and didn't reach out all weekend to give us time to find you a similar option." Not sure how we go from "we need to check your choice vehicle before selling it to you" to "we sold your choice vehicle to someone else", nor am I sure how ignoring us helps us find another option quickly. I took my Cruze in for warranty and they service tech cameran was giving such a hard time because it was from California and he didn't know what it was n was getting upset he had to call n find out. Then they take my car, and I get a rental, they take over a week to look at my car then said all they did was "drive it and it drove fine to them". Camera a words. They did not do any type of troubleshooting or anything so I demanded them to actually do some testing and troubleshooting. Then another week later they say they can't work on my car because I have after market rims and suspension that voids warranty.that has nothing to do with motor and trans warranty. So I fight with them for days and finally they threaten me if I don't get my car that day ima get charged for all the days on the rental. Not fun being threatens by Jeremy the service manager. So I go and get my car and now it's back firing really bad, They said they broke two spark plugs and put new pens in. So I drove 20 miles down the freeway doing 30mph. because it wouldn't run, come to find out they put old bad, dirty spark plugs in my car to cover up their mistake instead of putting new ones in. I have photos before and after of my plugs and already sent them to him central. Buying a car is an interesting experience. We were between two cars in two different dealerships. One dealership (Lupient Chevrolet) never pressured or hurried us. They were thorough, answered all of our question, and demonstrated all of the features of the Grand Cherokee. The second dealership put us off, made us wait forever to talk to the finance people, and did everything they could to pressure us into using their financing, even though we came in with our own financing. That was all on Saturday. Kevin from Lupient dealership called us back first thing on Monday morning to see if we had any more questions about the vehicle. The second dealership never called us back. Guess who we bought the vehicle from?! The whole process with Lupient Chevrolet in Bloomington was supportive and fantastic. They were much further from the second dealership that was closer to our house (Coon Rapids), but WELL worth the long drive to have a good experience with a dealership we now fully trust. Very disappointed to already be changing all of my Brakes and rotors less than a month after purchasing my car. They told me the Camry I was purchasing passed all the inspection requirements when indeed, all of the rotors were already burnt. I've been waiting over 21 days for my license plate as well. When I told the financial guy I didn't want the $3000 plus worth of warranty he turned very rude and told me I might drive off the lot and my car could break down at any moment. UPDATE (2/12/21): While I was initially completely dissatisfied with Parts/Accessories - I had to return to the dealership to pick up my plates. I was greeted by an entirely upbeat, friendly and helpful Service Advisor by the name of Todd Wilson. Todd was all about being kind, conversing and going the extra mile. Given this interaction - I would return, but only if I were calling Todd first. His outreach definitely made up for the inadequacies in Parts. ORIGINAL (2/10/21): The most inadequate, unfriendly & unhelpful team I have witnessed in a long time. I attempted to call ahead to order an accessory that the used car team had inquired about and provided a pricing quote for me. The parts team was rude and dismissive and would not allow me to order a $195 part over the phone (even if I was willing to pay for it ahead of time) - after I had purchased a used car from their team. They required me to come in, so I did. Upon arriving not 5 minutes after my phone call, they acted put out - and instead of the person helping who had done so over the phone, he rudely turned to his colleague and said, "If this is "Insert Last Name" the quote is in there - just do the work." They then debated with me over pricing - despite being given a number by the sales person - disappeared for 5 minutes and then told me to come back when the sales person was back. As I stood there the other 5 members of the parts team rudely bantered back and forth - calling each other names and making snarky comments to one another. So, after they suggested I leave and come back, I did leave, but I won't come back. Rather, I called Walser GMC. They were beyond professional, polite, friendly, helpful, approachable. The battery on my 2016 Cascada was at the end of its service life. Three different mechanics told me It could last maybe a few more weeks. The battery could fail any day - the amps were not up to specs. Called the dealership & was told I could get a new battery for $250.00 installed. Told them that was best price by about $50.00. The Cascada takes a special battery because of the drain on electronics - especially when raising & lowering the convertible top. Picked the car up about an hour later & felt relieved. Next day looked at the credit card slip & was charged $360.00. Spoke to Ryan Olson & he asked if it was the battery in the trunk? Told him no. Is it the battery under the seat? Told him no. This was the same guy that quoted me the price of the battery prior. Told him it was the battery next to the engine. Told me I must have talked to someone else. Told him "no you gave me your personal cell number & told me to call you & make an appointment". Told him I felt really angry & stupid trusting him. I also told him I could of had a AAA certified shop complete the entire job for less. He was quiet. Told him he can keep the money - I will not reverse charges, but will never be back. Felt like I was cheated. I have purchased two brand new cars from these people & have had similar experiences - always in their favor. Ryan did call back & left a message saying he wanted to make it right. He also said I probably got a quote from someone else....then the old "who did you talk to & when" was offered as an attempt to put Blaim on someone else. If that's true, why did he give me his personal cell number & to call him to make sure I got the "deal"? I'm going to let it go. It is the principle & I don't feel like calling back & getting into an argument with them. They have done stuff like this before & will in the future. A shame, because I have had much better experiences with foreign car dealers (Volkswagen, Mercedes, Honda). Maybe this is the reason foreign cars are outselling American made cars ( Honda, Toyota, Kia for example. The auto body shop here literally had my car for a week and did not complete any work on it. The body shop manager Daniel told me that it would take 5 to 6 days for the work to be completed. I drop my car off last Monday. It is now Wednesday of the following week and I have not received any updates on my car. After several calls with the body shop manager Daniel, he tells me that the guy that's supposed to be working on my car has been sick for two days and that they are just starting to work on my car. He then tells me that I won't be getting my car back until sometime the following week. At this point I decide I have had enough and I went to pick up my car. There was absolutely no reason for them to not have completed any work on my car after having it for a week and a half. Typical oil change takes 2-3 hours and costs $70-$75. Doesn't matter if an appointment is scheduled or not. Every time I go there the service advisors treat me as if they're doing me a favor by servicing a car that I bought at their dealership. I'm applying 2 stars as the staff is so completely apathetic that they don't bother trying to upsell me, which I appreciate. The $75 oil change supposedly includes an inspection, but I've had a red item on there a couple of times and the "service advisors" have never spent 10 seconds reviewing the inspection with me. Lupient Liars: My lease is up in 2 months and I received a call from Lupient luring me in to get me out of my current lease early and pull away with the new version of my car for the same amount. I didn't expect THAT to happen but did begin negotiating a deal with the agent. After going back and forth for a few days, we came to a verbal agreement and the agent asked that I come in that evening to sign the papers. At this point in the day, it was after 6pm but because the deal was a good enough one, I drove over to Lupient despite the several inconveniences it caused my family. When I got there, the agent had the car warming up and insisted I take it for a drive even though I had already driven it a couple of days before. And so I obliged and yes, the features were indeed nice. We went inside to his desk where there was a sheet of paper with the basic math breakdown of what the more detailed contract would be. I noticed right away that the downpayment I was making toward the lease was $500 higher than what we had agreed upon! I pointed this out and he said he made a mistake; they're already taking a "big hit"by giving me this offer, blah, blah, blah. Why, after three days of negotiating, would he not have called me to tell me of his "mistake" before I got there? Why, after we agreed upon a price and he made a rookie mistake, would Lupient not have honored our verbal agreement? Why? Because they're liars. Lupient Liars. Good News: I went over to LUTHER Chevrolet the next day and received the same "original" deal I had with the agent* at Lupient, and did a little better actually. Go see Travis Blomquist at Brookdale Luther Chevrolet, to get a straightforward, honest deal. *The name of Lupient agent is purposefully withheld because it's the old-style sharks behind the "big desk" that are truly at fault. read more

Update 10-16-14....Same great service once again. I've always had luck here. I got my usual oil change with a tire rotation. Car runs better and drives great with the tire rotation...no issues. Plus they took me over to another place during my appointment and called to pick me up when the car was ready. They aim to please and the invoice was very competitive....no reason to try and find a cheaper place. :) I went in for my usual oil change and tire rotation. They greeted me at the door, immediately looked up my appointment, let me know they had my part in for a recall on my car and told me they could fit me in to do that as well. He then explained to me the customer convenience waiting area and pointed out the features of coffee, cocoa etc...(There was a full pot of coffee too even for that late in the day) He told me how long the wait and it didn't take as long as he said. (Bonus) He came up to get me when the car was done and took me out to my freshly washed car. I was very happy with this customer service. In this day and age it was a very pleasant surprise. I brought my car in for a 15 point inspection. I accidentally referred to the inspection as a 5 point inspection. The mechanic was rude and arrogant about how I didn't call it by the correct name and he had "NO CLUE" what I was asking about. After entertaining the mechanic and getting past this massive understanding, they took my car in. After the inspection he called me back and told me that I would need to replace my brake pads as they were about to go out. He also told me that I was in need of new tires because the treads were nearly worn out. Well bro, I can see the tires for myself and can see that you are not being honest. I declined getting new brake pads and tires at that point. The upfront rudeness didn't make for a very persuasive sell either, if this was their end goal. I took it in to a different shop for a second inspection - it turned out that my brake pads have about 3/4 life still left on them and are nowhere close to being in need of replacing. They also informed me that my tires have another 15,000-20,000 miles left on them. I will not be bringing my car in to the dealership anymore and will be referring people elsewhere, as they have completely lost my trust. A side note: A few years ago, I brought my car in to this dealership for 3 recalls. When I came in to pick my car back up after the service, a mechanic adhered stupid white racing stripes down both sides. I had a problem with my truck's pcm. I was advised by a third party to bring the vehicle here and have them flash/reset the pcm. I called beforehand asking if Lupient Chevrolet could do this, they confirmed, and I asked what the fee for it would be, I was quoted $142.50. I then paid for a tow to bring it to Lupient Chevrolet. Was informed I need to work with John L. the Service Advisor. He confirmed he'll do the repair if he could. Mentioning that if he couldn't repair the pcu it would be appx $980 to repair and replace, he suggested maybe I should look at a new truck in the dealership if I had to go that route, he remained silent awaiting our response. My wife stated "that's not going to happen". He stated: "The lady has spoken". After coming back the next day he stated that the pcu needed to be replaced and it was going to be a bill of $798.17. I declined to have the service done. I was charged $142.50 for the service, $15.11 for parts (?) and then tax. (So they couldn't complete my request, but they had the gall to charge me the original fee quoted to fix it: $142.50 ($158.75 after parts (?) and tax), even though they didn't). I took the truck home (paid for another tow) and had another party flash the pcu. (took them 15 minutes), put it back in my truck, and my truck runs perfectly!!! This service desk is run by a lying/deceitful service team. I will never have another vehicle serviced here. I will not purchase a single vehicle from here and I will share my experience with my friends/family and social network. I advise, do not bring your vehicle to this dealership for service. Not for regular maintenance or repair work. There are other more friendly and trustworthy mechanics, service shops out there. read more
