It looks like they stopped halfway through the remodel and just went for it. Probably isn't a terrible place to go if Infinity is too far. They had a free limo ride promotion, but I don't expect that will last. Every time I've been there it never seems to get very busy , and the demographics of the clientele are all over the place. Some rough biker gang types, and what looked like someone's parents were in there last time I was there. On the bright side, the taco truck next to the entrance has decent pork tacos for $2.00, so it's not a total loss. I've heard that Latino Night on Sundays seem to have the best draw for them. It's not close to anything, and they seem to have absolutely no web presence whatsoever. I had to create the location to write this review. Their Facebook page is Shock After, for example. They have a nice big stage, but to date they have this strange go-go cage up there that no one dances in. They've been open for about a month or two at the time of this review. I wouldn't recommend this place above other places doing the same thing. I think if it were trying to be just a bar, they'd probably be a decent one, but the nightclub focus kinda keeps it from being great at either one. If you want $10 at the door, you'll have to do a lot better than that.

Well, she rents a car and makes that 4 hour drive to the small hole in the wall venue to see them! I saw Pepper play here on a Thursday night. As expected for this band, there was a line up to get in at least an hour before doors opened! This venue was perfect for me to see an amazing band up close and personal! When you first enter the building this is where the bathrooms and bar and merch sales take place. Then you walk down to where the music takes place. There are no seats (at least I dont remember there being any). There were sort of three levels to it. The most lower level we'll call the "pit" because really that is where you go to be as close as possible to whoever it is that you are seeing. Then there were two more levels with a handfull of bar tables to put a drink or two on. Each level was separated by railing. It does seem like an older building, but I think that really just adds to the ambience of the venue. :) There are plenty of eateries in walking distance if you want to grab a bite before a show. Parking is street parking. I didn't see a garage in the area, then again I am not a local, so I can only state what I saw as I was driving around looking for a spot to park. I'd see a show here again if the opportunity arrises.

We were a little taken aback simply because we dressed as 'business casual' and the waitstaff were dressed to the 9's. But we noticed that almost everyone else there was dressed casually, so we relaxed (i.e. they seem to have a relaxed dress code). Our waiter was prompt taking our drink order (and the water was filled immediately). He explained the special (some sort of fish which both my wife and I thought sounded wonderful) and then let us take our time looking over the menu. When he came back, I asked him about the sautéed mushroom appetizer. He described it and we immediately ordered it. It came out piping hot, and I must say - my wife and I both were 'fighting' for each bite - it was AMAZING. The sourdough bread is fantastic (and was great to use to mop up the rest of the melted butter from the sauteed mushrooms). I ordered the bacon wrapped, blue cheese encrusted filet with the house mashed potatoes and my wife ordered the ribeye steak with the potatoes au gratin. Mine selection was pretty awesome. The kitchen burned the bacon, but the steak was done perfectly and with the blue cheese encrustment and the sauce that came with it, I just pushed the bacon to the side (note - if I had pointed this out, I have no doubt that the staff would have refired the entire plate - so that's on me). However, my wife's selection blew mine completely away. Her steak was done perfectly (medium-rare) and the au gratin potatoes were absolutely to die for (I may have stolen quite a bit from her plate). We have our favorite place in Loveland, Co (4th street chop house) and Colorado Springs, Co (Peppertree restaurant), and we've now added the Winery to that short list.
