This hotel was amazing. Great reviews from Google to Hotels.com I got a phone call prior to my arrival which was a nice touch. I was asked if I was part of the MTTS group. Yes. I was warmly greeted when I showed up. Everything was explained well. I was on the same floor as the Devil's Kitchen restaurant. I could hear the noise in the hallway it was happy hour after all. However soon as I walked into my room I didn't hear anything. The room didn't disappoint. Phenomenal and you can tell they keep the hotel pristine. I felt right at home. Beautiful hotel, but lots of misses. The food was mediocre, though service from Connor (server) and Robert (bartender) was excellent. Asked for a first-floor room and was told it would cost extra -- "usually $30, but we can do $20." Really? At 4:30 in the afternoon? That's a management issue, not the kind of guest experience you'd expect. Credit to the front desk associate who was kind enough to personally deliver pet amenities after housekeeping left without telling anyone. But with the steep pet fees and nickel-and-diming on room requests, it's hard to recommend. And...BBoyz say paws down . I stayed here on during my drive back to Denver from Orange County. The room was super clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the hot tub was down for maintenance. I was able to checkout via phone which was convenient. Hotel amenity fee is only $10 (probably should've been waived since the hot tub was down) and incidental hold was only $50 which isn't bad in my opinion. Love the interior design of the bathroom. Parking is onsite and free. Front desk was helpful and welcoming. Would recommend staying here. read more

Fabulous hotel run by an amazing group of people. This hotel find is a true gem of hidden gems. From the moment we called about booking to stepping foot at the property we were excited to stay here. The hotel is located close to campus and the grounds are exceptionally clean. As you walk in you are greeted with a gorgeous space filled with ample seating for you to wait for a guest or read a good book. The team working in the hotel is amazing and super helpful. They welcomed our family with two dogs with open arms - YES you read that right they are pet friendly. They have dog beds in the room upon request and they even give your furry friends the cutest welcome gift ever. Each pup gets a Hotel Maverick bandana and a Colorado cookie made by a local barkery. The rooms are a little small but there was still plenty of space for all of us. The beds were amazing. Like extremely comfortable and everything in the room felt fresh and updated. There is also a restaurant conveniently located on the top floor and it serves some amazing food and dessert. We enjoyed cocktails with a view as well through the floor to ceiling windows. read more

A beautiful spot to stay on the western slope! Grand Junction is a smaller town so hotel options can be quite limited, this new boutique hotel addition has amazing views and is on the CMU campus! It's not a huge chain hotel so don't be expecting continental breakfast but there is a cute coffee shop on the first floor and a restaurant/bar on the fourth floor with great views of the mesa! The beds are super comfy, everything is brand new and so clean. I love the lobby area and also the rooftop bar!! They have bikes in the lobby you can take out for a joy ride too. We enjoyed our stay while we moved our son into his dorm. The hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly. The room is a decent size with a large bathroom. We had a family room and appreciated the king bunk bed option. We enjoyed coffee from Betty's in the lobby before starting our day. We drove 12 hours from SD and were so very pleasantly surprised with this awesome urban type hotel after a long and tiring drive with our kids and dog. I will give 5 stars to any hotel that is clean and a comfortable stay, that's really all you need after a long drive and it's much appreciated. This hotel goes far beyond your average clean and comfy stay. Every inch of the hotel is incredible! Upon arrival, my energetic children rushing to the potty, myself and pup were welcomed by extremely nice staff, clean and lounge type lobby, it was a refreshing first impression of the hotel. Rooms were beautiful, clean, very fun design with the bathroom tile and the awesome KING sized bunk bed! They gave a few gifts, a delicious lavender fudge, very clean dog bed, raised dog bowls, a bandana and COOKIE for my pup! Those were included w the very affordable $75 pet fee for my 85lb bernedoodle. The beds were super comfy which is a very.big deal after traveling all day. The views, tall ceilings and huge windows were a great plus. The restaurant is gorgeous, I love the dining domes and converted dining gondolas on the rooftop restaurant deck. The coffee bar downstairs had great food (specifically loved the salmon lox bagel and vanilla latte) good selection and quality. They have 1 large jacuzzi, which we were very thankful for in 23 degree weather. Our family would much rather have a hot tub over a pool anyways. We also discovered they have a stinking BMX bike track in the back. We are pretty sure we met thr owner in the morning. Dog loving, very friendly man that anyone would love to talk to. Made very easy non contact text check out. My husband said the gym was awesome. The best part which I'm sure will change, this totally fun and funky upscale (luxury in my opinion) was the same price as your average holiday inn if not less (less than $200 for our bunk bed room) Such a cool option w kids rather than a suite Happy to find our new forever pit stop! I'm more than Excited to return! They also said we have free access to their rec center down the road 5 min walk) ans an awesome looking kids museum is across the parking lot. read more

Stayed here while touring CMU with our daughter. It was perfect! Great rooms and right on campus. A little pricey but worth the cost. Liam and Paige were very friendly and answered all of our questions about the school and also helped us find some great restaurants in the area. I stayed at the Maverick in Colorado Junction one night and it was decent. This place looks brand new and it was modern and beautiful. The atmosphere was laid back but the customer service at the front desk and over the phone could've been better. Overall this is a fancy hotel in a very small town and it looks like it's the best Junction has to offer. The king size bed was comfortable but the wooden bedroom made for a very squeaky unrestful night sleep. This isn't the worst night stay nor was it the best but it was okay considering the limited selection in Junction. If I had to stay here again I would but I'd choose another type of bed if possible. read more

We came over here to grand junction for a little vacation & of course, needed a place to stay, and I'm so glad we stayed here!! The front desk member was kind, informative, and very professional! Definitely made the experience memorable! The room itself was comfy cozy, and that's saying a lot because hotel rooms normally make me very uncomfortable, but this one was clean, fresh, welcoming, really made me feel at ease! We went to the restaurant on the top floor, the Devils Kitchen, and it was delicious!! The woman who served us, Brooke, asked right away if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions so that made my inevitable "what are the vegan options?" Question much easier. They have one vegan dish, but it was delicious! And you really get a lot for what you pay for! The gym was also amazing; clean, well kept, only one guest at a time which is nice, and they have a peloton! Finally we got some coffee at the little shop in the lobby; the gals there were SUPER nice when I asked about vegan options and even looked at ingredients for me, so thank you!! The cold brew with vanilla and oat milk was SO GOOD! Overall thank you for making our July 4th vacation a great one! read more

Wow! This is clearly the best hotel in grand junction. Modern furnishings, large rooms, everything clean and updated as it celebrated its first birthday June 1 2021. There was even a stylish shower stall in our room with a metal bar installed so when the water drips it gives off clear musical tones! Incredible views on one entire side of the building of the mountain range. Totally impressed by their in house restaurant The Devils Kitchen, a convenient walk down the 4th floor hallway (See my separate review). Check in was super friendly and personalized. Plenty of parking and a large jacuzzi. Definitely will return! read more

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are extremely courteous. We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Colorado National Monument and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Hotel Maverick is located on the CMU campus. The area is safe and quiet with lots of parking. The hotel itself is clean and modern in decor. They have a cute little cafe on the first floor if you're wanting a quick breakfast and coffee on the go. They also have a nice upscale restaurant/bar, Devil's Kitchen, located on the top floor. Some nice perks of the hotel include free parking, free wifi that was fast, and complimentary coffee at their cafe in the main lobby. Our room was nice and spacious. We found a welcome note with some chocolate, which was very thoughtful of the hotel. My husband and I were also impressed with how the room was spotless and clean. The king bed and pillows were really comfy. It was almost hard to get up every morning. The bathroom was clean with plenty counter space. In addition, the room has a mini fridge, safe, TV, and desk. The only thing the room did not have was a microwave; however, there is a microwave in the vending machine room located on each floor. The service here was phenomenal. From the moment we checked in to when we checked out, the staff have been very friendly and approachable. On the day we checked in, I received a text from the hotel letting us know to text them if we need anything. Since I'm pregnant, we requested two extra pillows for me. The staff were happy to help and promptly brought up pillows to our room. Also note that they are following Covid guidelines with housekeeping not entering your room during your entire stay. If you want to get new towels or need your room to be cleaned, the staff are easily reachable to arrange for housekeeping to stop by. The only thing we suggest is that since we stayed for a few nights, we had trash building up in our room. Thankfully, we ran into housekeeping on one of the days we got back to our room early in the day. They were happy to help take out trash for us. Having a larger trash can in the room and one on each floor for both recyclables/trash would help a lot and lessen the burden on housekeeping to take our trash from our room. Hotel Maverick is a great hotel choice while visiting Grand Junction. We will be sure to stay here again the next time we're in town. I definitely recommend!!! read more

I'm sad to leave this review because the staff is nice, the hotel is very cute and modern and clean. However, we've stayed here twice now, different rooms on different floors and both times the power in the room continued to go out all through the evening. You'd think we'd plugged a generator in or something but it was literally two iPhones chargers and the tv plugged in. (We even unplugged the fudge at one point out of desperation) Every time we tried to turn on the bathroom light everything would go out and we'd have to call the front desk and ask to have it turned back on. The fact that we've experienced this twice leads me to believe that this is not a rare occurrence, though the people at the front desk acted like it was just our room. Maverick Hotel, please focus less on making your hotel look cool and more on making its electricity function properly. We can't enjoy the fun bed frames and modern designs if the circuit trips every time one of three lights is turned on. read more

We went and checked in at 6:40 PM on a Monday and they would not let us get into the restaurant and they wanted to see us with her two young children at the bar and the restaurant is 75% empty and they would not accommodate us no matter what for over an hour. read more

FIVE PAW rating! We brought out two baby dogs and they love it here. Two extra comfy plush doggy beds awaited their arrival with doggy dishes and heart shaped yummy cookies! The room was perfect for them with outdoor patio and access to a field of grass! For dinner they had organic chicken with some homemade chips and bison as an appetizer. Hotel suite was nice, clean and comfortable. I do feel it is way overpriced for the accommodations and location. I asked for a late checkout and was told no...which was a bummer. I felt like for over $400 per night, I could be given 30-60 mins more in my room just to rest. The place didn't seem overwhelmingly busy. Pretty great hotel. The modern look of the building matches the decor throughout the hotel. There's a big jacuzzi outside. Its also right in front of the parking lot. I just found that funny but if it was placed in the back then your view would be college kids walking about the campus. The restaurant on the fourth floor deserves its own review and it's worth a try. There's a small coffee shop on the lobby that serves simple breakfast food. Your stay doesn't come with free breakfast. There's a small gym on the 2nd floor. The place is well kept and the staff are really great. My only tiny gripe is that they didn't have a business center with a computer or printer. Although the front desk did offer to print my papers for me. Also what's up with the Singapore address on your room phone? Overall it's a pretty great hotel. You're pretty much close to everything you need. There's even a Mexican joint that you can walk to. read more

Nice amenities, quality interior design and located in a relatively quiet part of town --BUT-- the room's fire alarm is a major oversight by the hotel's designer. These units are located right above the bed and they randomly blink a bright green light several times a minute --ALL NIGHT LONG. Which made getting a decent night's sleep impossible. For the hotel's management: Red light is easier on the eyes in dark places. It's why astronomers and the military use it (among other professions) . If the point for the light is to merely prove the device has power then choose a design using a steady red light instead. It shouldn't blink unless something is wrong since blinking lights attract attention (police cars, warning lights, etc..). read more

It's their hotel and they should be able to give the service. They charged an additional 11 dollars for taxes etc although I had paid the whole thing with Expedia a couple of days before. This is one of those hotels that is a serious breath of fresh air after an incredibly long road trip with a 13 month old and a dog! It's brand new and gorgeous, seriously so many amazing amenities to admire that we sadly didn't have time to do. Our journey with Maverick Hotel began with making our reservation (and calling back to change a few things a few times) with Michael. He was super friendly every time my husband spoke with him and had all around amazing customer service. We came into a super clean room with lavender fudge and hand sanitizer waiting for us on the desk. Another perk of this hotel is that it's pet friendly but you really can't tell that it is and I mean that in the best way possible the Maverick set the standard way high for me now lol. The lobby is gorgeous and has a coffee shop that we will most definitely stop at on our way out. Another thing I loved is that the bathroom had so many towels, which is a first since usually hotels give you like 2 shower towels and that kind of sucks the bathroom was overall clean and organized great. The reason for a missing star was the shower situation. It looks like some bathrooms here have doors, but ours just has a curtain which allows a lot of the water from the shower to spray out onto the bathroom floor :/ that's where all the extra towels came in handy! Also, the shower floor is extremely slippery so just have to be careful with that. And lastly, our shower curtain/floor was a little dirty (random hair) but that's really it. The on-site restaurant was another lifesaver! Food was absolutely amazing, I wish we could stay another night. I normally stay at hotels right off the exit, but the extra few minutes to reach the hotel were well worth it. The hotel was clean, new, and the beds were crazy comfortable! I slept like a baby. The coffee shop downstairs was very convenient, and offered free drip coffee as part of the stay. My room had a balcony, and it was nice sitting outside after the heat settled down. I felt very safe here since it's directly on a college campus. I won't stay anywhere else the next time I'm traveling through Grand Junction. read more

The food was really good. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The potatoes were tender and perfectly seasoned. The elk burger was delicious and seasoned really well. The fries were great as well. The server was a little slow, but spot on. We had reserved one of the outside snow globes that,we were told, we're heated. They turned the heater on when we got there and it only warmed up a couple degrees. For such a nice restaurant, we were given paper napkins. I prefer cloth napkins as a sign of elegance. This time however, unexpected charges, tv in room requires you to sign up for Google Chromecast to watch that you have to SUBSCRIBE to monthly and regular cable cable is SO limited. We are tech savvy but having yet ANOTHER app on my phone to track me is not acceptable. Super disappointing and feel like this is a TOTAL rip off.
