This hotel was amazing. Great reviews from Google to Hotels.com I got a phone call prior to my arrival which was a nice touch. I was asked if I was part of the MTTS group. Yes. I was warmly greeted when I showed up. Everything was explained well. I was on the same floor as the Devil's Kitchen restaurant. I could hear the noise in the hallway it was happy hour after all. However soon as I walked into my room I didn't hear anything. The room didn't disappoint. Phenomenal and you can tell they keep the hotel pristine. I felt right at home. The fudge flower was a great touch. I also loved the papers they left for me. I would definitely stay here again!!!

I stayed here on during my drive back to Denver from Orange County. The room was super clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the hot tub was down for maintenance. I was able to checkout via phone which was convenient. Hotel amenity fee is only $10 (probably should've been waived since the hot tub was down) and incidental hold was only $50 which isn't bad in my opinion. Love the interior design of the bathroom. Parking is onsite and free. Front desk was helpful and welcoming. Would recommend staying here.

This hotel had a clean, modern vibe and we loved our room. The linens were luxurious, they had high end Beekman toiletries, complimentary fudge fro the restaurant, and our balcony overlooked the campus on the north side and was perfect for morning coffee. Plus the restaurant is a must do.

Hotel modern and great. Cafe main floor quick coffee and bagel. Dining 4th floor $$ pricey but waitress friendly, trout good and views from every table. One weird thing please see my picture we checked in, unlocked room door and see the bed! I don't think management wants guest 1st words as WHAT IN THE WORLD?!? Evidently comforter had been washed and inner batting all clumped makes bed look awful like a varment family underneath

Fabulous hotel run by an amazing group of people. This hotel find is a true gem of hidden gems. From the moment we called about booking to stepping foot at the property we were excited to stay here. The hotel is located close to campus and the grounds are exceptionally clean. As you walk in you are greeted with a gorgeous space filled with ample seating for you to wait for a guest or read a good book. The team working in the hotel is amazing and super helpful. They welcomed our family with two dogs with open arms - YES you read that right they are pet friendly. They have dog beds in the room upon request and they even give your furry friends the cutest welcome gift ever. Each pup gets a Hotel Maverick bandana and a Colorado cookie made by a local barkery. The rooms are a little small but there was still plenty of space for all of us. The beds were amazing. Like extremely comfortable and everything in the room felt fresh and updated. There is also a restaurant conveniently located on the top floor and it serves some amazing food and dessert. We enjoyed cocktails with a view as well through the floor to ceiling windows.

A beautiful spot to stay on the western slope! Grand Junction is a smaller town so hotel options can be quite limited, this new boutique hotel addition has amazing views and is on the CMU campus! It's not a huge chain hotel so don't be expecting continental breakfast but there is a cute coffee shop on the first floor and a restaurant/bar on the fourth floor with great views of the mesa! The beds are super comfy, everything is brand new and so clean. I love the lobby area and also the rooftop bar!! They have bikes in the lobby you can take out for a joy ride too. I highly recommend staying here if you're in the area!

We drove 12 hours from SD and were so very pleasantly surprised with this awesome urban type hotel after a long and tiring drive with our kids and dog. I will give 5 stars to any hotel that is clean and a comfortable stay, that's really all you need after a long drive and it's much appreciated. This hotel goes far beyond your average clean and comfy stay. Every inch of the hotel is incredible! Upon arrival, my energetic children rushing to the potty, myself and pup were welcomed by extremely nice staff, clean and lounge type lobby, it was a refreshing first impression of the hotel. Rooms were beautiful, clean, very fun design with the bathroom tile and the awesome KING sized bunk bed! They gave a few gifts, a delicious lavender fudge, very clean dog bed, raised dog bowls, a bandana and COOKIE for my pup! Those were included w the very affordable $75 pet fee for my 85lb bernedoodle. The beds were super comfy which is a very.big deal after traveling all day. The views, tall ceilings and huge windows were a great plus. The restaurant is gorgeous, I love the dining domes and converted dining gondolas on the rooftop restaurant deck. The coffee bar downstairs had great food (specifically loved the salmon lox bagel and vanilla latte) good selection and quality. They have 1 large jacuzzi, which we were very thankful for in 23 degree weather. Our family would much rather have a hot tub over a pool anyways. We also discovered they have a stinking BMX bike track in the back. We are pretty sure we met thr owner in the morning. Dog loving, very friendly man that anyone would love to talk to. Made very easy non contact text check out. My husband said the gym was awesome. The best part which I'm sure will change, this totally fun and funky upscale (luxury in my opinion) was the same price as your average holiday inn if not less (less than $200 for our bunk bed room) Such a cool option w kids rather than a suite Happy to find our new forever pit stop! I'm more than Excited to return! They also said we have free access to their rec center down the road 5 min walk) ans an awesome looking kids museum is across the parking lot.

Stayed here while touring CMU with our daughter. It was perfect! Great rooms and right on campus. A little pricey but worth the cost. Liam and Paige were very friendly and answered all of our questions about the school and also helped us find some great restaurants in the area. Hotel Maverick is going to be our go to place for future visits.

Excellent hotel! What a nice surprise to find such a cool hotel in the middle of Grand Junction. Staff is excellent. The restaurant is a five star...seriously. The hotel is quiet with everything you need from hot coffee in the morning to a great patio to have your morning coffee on.

This place has an enjoyable patio. We ordered cauliflower wrap, summer salad and the dismantled cheesake. This dessert is delicious. Usually I don't like white chocolate but this time I had a good surprise!

Horizon Drive is the main access to the Grand Junction airport north of I-70 and an almost direct access south to downtown. Rates are always reasonable. This time, I reserved thru Expedia and got my room with a queen bed for $88 each for 2 nights and my 3rd night for $63 + the various taxes. They accept pets, but charge a stiff deposit I have never needed to change rooms. All inside doors to the rooms. The breakfast space is simple, but several local restaurants are nearby.

We were given room 101 which was right on the corner and so there were three doors that constantly slammed right by our room door as people came in and out. The vending and ice machine were right outside our door too so things were loud. I'd ask for a different room next time. There is no carpet on the first floor and our large dog is afraid of hard flooring so we had to keep his shoes on the whole time so he could get around the room and in and out to go to the bathroom. The room looked to be an accessible room. It was spacious. Though if someone uses a wheelchair, I could see some obstacles - The opening between the toilet and the sink is slim so it would be difficult to fit a chair between them. The toilet paper is hard to reach from the toilet for anyone. It's a tub so you'd need a shower chair. There is a railing in the shower. We had a king sized bed that was really very comfortable. There was a fridge and microwave and coffee pot. Some things in the room looked updated. Newish paint and floors. We liked the decor on the room walls. (See photos). The room was clean. Great water pressure in the shower. Water leaked out past the shower curtains onto the floor way too easily. The floor was soaked. The bathroom drain made weird noises on and off. Not sure if it was the shower, the sink or the pipes. The air condition worked well and helped to drown out the door slamming sound a bit. Which happened all morning long. We didn't check out the Continental breakfast because there is rarely anything we can eat at hotels. We eat healthy, plant based diets. You'd think it would be easy enough to offer sourdough bread, fresh cut fruit, dairy free oatmeal, potatoes without butter. I'd stay again if we passed through. Love that they are dog friendly.

A Surprisingly Cool Spot in Grand Junction…read more We decided to stay at The Melrose on a quick trip to Grand Junction--and I'm so glad we did. Everything is keyless (no front desk!), and you use your phone for entry and concierge contact. Super modern and smooth from check-in to checkout. The first night felt almost eerie... like I was the only guest! It was that quiet. I wandered around downtown, grabbed dinner, and when I came back, I started seeing a few other people. The outdoor area was a gem--relaxing by the firepit under the glow of the neon rose sign was the perfect way to unwind. Parking is conveniently located in the lot to the left of the building. It's paid, but easy to use through the app--averaging about $10 a day. By the second night, the energy picked up a bit. The bar onsite had opened--but closed before I could make it back out. Thankfully, on my final night, I caught the last 30 minutes and got to enjoy two fantastic cocktails served in these fun, festive ceramic mugs. The drinks felt handmade, and the bartenders were super friendly. Lots of guests and even locals seemed to enjoy the outdoor space with drinks in hand, which gave it a relaxed, social vibe. Inside, I stayed in a double room--huge, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern, and I appreciated having a fridge and coffee pot. The only tiny hiccup: it took me a bit to locate the outlets, but once I did, all good! We're actually heading back over the 4th of July weekend and booked a smaller room this time to compare. I'm hoping we can make it back in time to enjoy the cocktail bar again--though I do wish their hours were a bit longer. It closes pretty early, and it's definitely a feature worth lingering over. All in all, The Melrose is a fun, stylish stay with a great location and one of the better vibes I've experienced at a boutique spot like this. Would definitely recommend!

What I'm about to say does NOT reflect the management or workers in any regard. If you're a light sleeper, don't book here. Other reviews seem to describe this place as pretty quiet but that was not my experience. I really only spent about 7h total in my room but those 7h were louder than a year I spent in a dorm. The walls are SO thin. I heard every text my wall neighbor got at 4am, every suitcase being rolled, every toilet flush, every step above me - and my upstairs neighbors were impressively loud! Consecutive stomping noises for about 2h straight. No idea what they were doing up there but those floors echo like crazy. I had to tiptoe through those hallways in my big ol' boots. And don't get me started on the train that blared a few times an hour LOL. It's this god awful amalgamation of notes that truly don't make any musical sense. I'm a heavy aah sleeper so this all was water off my back, but I couldn't help but think of if my grandma tried to stay: she wouldn't sleep a wink. Frankly, staff couldn't be doing a better job and all of my concerns are just unfortunate parts of the location and building construction. If you're gonna stay here, bring earplugs. TLDR: beautiful but loud!

We arrived late afternoon on August 2nd after driving all the way from L.A. in one day. Strike #1 - When we pull into the driveway it looked like a guy on drugs was playing on one of the parking lot security gates. The ones that raise and lower for you to go past. We told the clerk at the front desk, but we were concerned about my car after that. Strike #2 - Located right next to the Convention Center. If they have big events there it will be really loud if your room is on that side of the hotel. We could hear loud noise until late at night. Strike #3 - The hotel is dingy and really needs to be renovated. It's a step up from the one in Cherry Creek/Denver, but still bad.
