The day the roofing crew arrived (a cold day with some snow and ice on the roof) they removed two-layers of old roofing and quickly began to install the new roof, venting pipes and more. Believe this! The crew, under the guidance of the supervisor, Javier, finished the whole project in ONE DAY! When completed Javier showed us photos and a video of the completed roofing project. AMAZING! And they cleaned-up everything afterwards and used a large magnet to collect all the old nails and screws. A fantastic job. Financing was great, We got a fantastic interest rate on a 15-year loan. I recommend DeBella to anyone. The company had also installed new gutters on our home a few months before. I initially contacted DaBella for an estimate and set up an appointment. No one showed up or called…read morewhen our appointment time came and went. The following day, I received another call to schedule an estimate. I let them know I had already set up an appointment and no one showed up. They set up another time and were on time this time. The sales guys were very nice and informative, but our initial experience of lack of communication just setting up the estimate should have been a red flag from the beginning. We agreed to be flexible with the installation date so they got started over a month earlier than originally planned, which was fine, but they rescheduled the start date three times in one day. These would be the only phone calls I would ever receive from the DaBella office. Zero care is shown for our yard from the moment they arrived. The siding install crew didn't cover our front garden, so we have tons of tiny styrofoam pieces that will now be a permanent fixture in our front garden/bark that we just finished working on this spring. A lot of my flowers were also trampled so a good portion of my garden is non existent now. My flower pots became garbage cans and a stand for their microwave. We have solar panels and when we initially asked about the power panels on the side of the house, we were ensured the crew is certified and it wouldn't be a problem working on the siding there. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case and a section of the old siding was left behind the panels for us to have to now spend more time and money to build something around it to cover it up. Lots of nails and trash were left after their extensive "clean up" when they were done with the siding project. I wish communication was better with this company. Each time I have called customer service, they tell me they'll look into it but never get back to me. It's extremely frustrating to receive a text that our install has been scheduled. No date/time, nothing to tell me when the gutters would be installed once the siding was finished. They just show up within the next day or two of receiving their text and start working without even talking to us. No inspections after they're done, they just show up and expect you to sign the completion paperwork. If you didn't know any better, you'd be signing papers when there are a lot of things that need to be fixed. Tyvek showing, nails and screws used to secure footholds for them on the roof, flashing installed incorrectly. We're lucky we have a friend that knows exactly what to look for that came over to look things over with the siding crew manager to get them fixed. The downspout in the back of the house was installed facing the house. When the man showed up with the completion papers, I showed it to him and he acted surprised that I didn't want the water to flow toward the house. We were also told our two back doors would be wrapped but it wasn't done and I haven't heard back on that after multiple phone calls. Piles of debris, metal pieces, nails, and screws from what was in the gutters all over the front walkway, in the garden, and in the back yard. Considering the amount of money we are paying, the quality of work and communication would be stellar. During our initial meeting with our sales guys, they asked what two things are the most important during a process like this. I told them quality and communication. The siding looks great, but quite frankly, if I knew what our experience was going to be, I would have gone with another company. My fear is now I will have a whole new set of problems caused by laziness and cutting corners.

While I think they did a good job and I like their products, they were super expensive and I still had 14 more windows that needed to be replaced. In May of this year I started to seriously consider getting the rest replaced. Enter Alpine Exteriors. They provided the third bid and landed in the middle price wise. They were considerably less expensive than Champion (no surprise) and slightly more expensive than a no name company that came out selling cheap quality windows. But Alpine Exteriors quality, service, and selection really stood out. I met with the owner, Hiram Molloy, at my home and there was zero sales pressure and no games. He has access to a number of different windows at all different price points, so he was able to find something in my budget and a quality I was happy with. They were installed a couple weeks ago and that was the real test. I'm pretty OCD and I want perfection. I'm never fully satisfied because that would be impossible, but the installers did a nice job. They were friendly and detail oriented. I asked a lot of questions and spent a fair amount of time watching the install and they were courteous and obviously knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up the mess and used preventative measures around my furniture to keep the mess at a minimum. Upon final cleanup they collected all the stickers from the windows and placed them on copy paper so I could apply for the rebate. Hiram followed through on his promise and mailed me all the rebate paperwork with instructions. If you are looking for a quality window company that offers a competitive price and does what they say they are going to do, look no further than Alpine Exteriors.

If I could throw another star their way, I would. But Yelp limits me to five. There's something magical about sitting by an open window, feeling the gentle breeze. I have not been able to experience that in the past few years, as the windows in my house have been broken and unable to open. So I finally bit the bullet and reached out to HomeStar Windows and Doors to get a bid to replace them. Dave came out to measure and gave me a bid promptly. He did not put on the pressure, but gave me options-"good, better, best" and thoroughly explained the difference. We decided to go through with the replacement and got on the schedule. We also decided to replace the blinds with shutters and asked to coordinate the installation to happen around the same time. Well, the windows were ready to be installed sooner than we anticipated, and Dave offered to cover the cost of having the old blinds taken down and reinstalled so we could go ahead with the window installation before the shutters. It also landed on a day that we would be out of town, so they offered to text me when they arrived and then again when they left for the day. It was nice to get those updates so I was aware of when people would be in my house. When we returned home, the new windows were in and all the old ones were taken away. It made my life easy! All I needed to do was put furniture back that I had moved for them. There were also some holes in walls that I'll need to patch that looked like had been made when the windows were removed. And now, I sit by an open window (that I was able to open with one finger rather than the gargantuan effort it used to take) and enjoy the nice breeze. I shouldn't have waited so long.

Jeremie Jones was awesome from our first encounter with him to the last. We have a storm door…read morewhere the lock got stuck and we could not get in or out of our house. Jeremie responded and found that our mortise lock had given out and that it could be replaced without having to replace the whole door, which we were fully expecting to have to happen. He "band-aided" the lock so that we could again have full use of the door during the time it took to receive the part, and, as soon as that happened, Jeremie arranged a time to install it. Very happy with Moyes' service, its employees and their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
